Chapter 45: Michael is back

Vampire Michael, you owe me a lot. Even your life isn't enough compensation for what you did. You will have to pay for what was taken from me, and I will never let you live.

Layla was worried when my eyes met and when I

woke up, because I could clearly see the sister's love in my brown eyes, the love that I couldnt find in Michael. I smiled bitterly, and my tears slowly slipped away. God! When

will my tears be gone?

"Loves... I'm here. Nothing bad will happen to you. I won't let anyone hurt you, okay?" Her voice was as warm as the dawn. My fantastic super heroine doctor. The lady I Always loved, but had been separated from her for sometime.

" father..." My voice grewlled.

"I haven't seen him in two weeks," she said sadly, stunned for a moment. "I'm also on the lookout for him. But for the time being, you must rest, baby girl. In addition, you

have numerous wounds on your feet and knees." She stroked my tresses. "Right now, we're not going to talk about the few weeks you were missing and how you escaped. The important thing is that I'm happy, and

you've returned and nothing bad has happened.

God! If something bad had happened to you, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself."

-Layla, something has already happened to me and him? Several times.-

I wanted to tell her but all I did was shake my

head. I couldn't tell it to Layla.

"D-Daddy is not at home,, . He was taken away to the vampire territory. Our father is in danger! Daddy is not safe." I couldn't help but cry at the pain I felt; I adored our father, and the thought of him being gone to somewhere I didn't know seemed to sever my heart.

Layla immediately consoled me, and I poured my tears onto Layla's chest; I wanted to charge Michael but I had no solid evidence against him for the time being.

For the time being, I was to heal and then return to crush it, just as it did to me.

Layla called off every business she had. She took me to the United States to recover from the severe trauma I had suffered. Every night, I would wake up crying. Michael was chasing me in my dream.

Layla, on the other hand, left for a business meeting one day. I was left alone in the house that she had rented and she owned a room in the apartment.

When I heard a crack in the kitchen, I winced. I

dashed up the stairs to my room on the second floor of the house.

I had been terrified since learning that Michael was a real vampire and he had taken away my father, and it was that fear that I fighting. I hoped that one day I and Michael would come to face each other, that he will be imprisoned,

and that I will be able to fight as much as I wanted in that game.

I recalled seeing Michael's face on the internet news the other day. Its aura was still dark, and people were on the verge of crawling at any moment.

"Mr. Michael, you were supposed to marry last week; do you have any leads on who killed Vicky and your mother?" Michael, who had just gotten out of the expensive car, was asked that question by one of the reporters.

His expression darkened and he suddenly choked the poor reporter, causing a commotion. "Don't ever bring up my fiancée's name. Get lost or l'll kill you," hi enraged voice said, leaving the poor reporter chasing his breath.

That time, I hugged my own knee and quickly turned off the phone. He was a cruel demon! My love had now been replaced by hatred and disgust. Michael had lost my love and trust. His evilness frightened even the poor and the

innocent.

I went straight to bed after locking the door. I was holding my phone in one hand, waiting for Layla to come home because I was much scared, when the door unexpectedly opened.

No! Not again.

The man I never wanted to see, the man I had tried to escape from the island with the idea that he had taken away my father, was standing in front of me. His image was magnanimous

and... The facial expression was dark and dreary.

I dialed Layla's number right away, but it quickly

approached me and crushed the cellphone I was holding with only his hand. I couldn't stop slapping the man because my anger at what he did burned in my chest.

"You! Again- bring back my father. Or else You're going to suffer and die in jail!"

He pressed his hand against his slapped cheek and fixed his gaze on me. He grabbed my hand and yanked me onto the bed, causing me to sink. I screamed!

"And my next target, sweetheart, is your sister..." He spoke into my ear with rage.

I screamed angrily and attempted to slap it. It can't just take away the people I cared about! "Why are you doing this? I'm going to sue you. You will perish in prison!"

He smiled."Then sue me," I saw another speck in his eyes. "Running away from me is pointless.

-I'll follow you wherever you go. I'll find you wherever you hide and bring you back to where you belong: on the island, with me." He walked away and vanished in front of me.

My body trembled in fear, and tears streamed down my cheeks. I believed that what was happening would cause me to lose my mind. I rubbed my swollen brow because it hurted. I thought I was safe in the United States, but why would death be so close? What else did Cuhen need?

God! Please help me escape this nightmare.

"Anya!" Layla Yelled as she dashed at me. As she hugged me, her face was filled with fear. "What transpired? I tried calling you but you weren't answering. Are you all right? F*ck! I shouldn't let you go off by yourself." When she let

go, she worriedly grabbed her own hair.

I sobbed while hugging her. Even though I was no longer in love with Michael, I was much concerned about Layla and does not want anything bad to happen to her again.

"Please hide me somewhere he can't find or follow me. I'm afraid you'll be next."

She looked up, perplexed, and stared at me. "l don't want to transport you back in time, but could you please tell me everything? I promise to protect you."

I was hesitating, she was my young sister and I didn't want to put her into this mess. What if Michael was still there, keeping an eye on us? That was not the appropriate time

for me to say it. Then perhaps when we could leave the United States.

We Were on a flight to Spain. I was terrified, but

Layla was always by my side, encouraging me and giving me the strength to fight. What would I do if I didn't have such a sister? Maybe I would be insane.

I went on and started telling her what had happened to me and who my kidnapper was. But I never mentioned that the monster took my body. I also cried as I told the story of who took away our father.

"What a piece of shit! We're going to sue him. He's fucked!"

"l'm afraid of what he's capable of. I'm not sure why he's been bothering me up until now. He killed Gregory, I am sure. He's a beast! I'm unable to forgive him."

For a brief moment, she was stunned and looked at me. "But what if he didn't murder Gregory?"
