"Wow, Red, that's great!" I even clapped to show him that I was supporting him, even though, in truth, I didn't know where to turn my attention. Even here in Manhattan they still practice swimming.
That day ended with us getting cold before getting dressed and falling asleep while I was still wide-eyed and thinking about the scene between the two of us. Am I giving in just like that? I think I'm still into that man, no matter how much I deny it! But no, what if he loves someone else and all he really wants is my children? There are so many negative thoughts rolling in my mind.
I don't know how I fell asleep last night, but when I woke up, it was two in the afternoon, so I suddenly woke up. It was the first time that I woke up late because one of my children didn't wake me up, so I got up. I was having a hard time fighting my sleepiness and wanted to lie down again, yet my stomach was giving a sound. I stretched my shoulder, sprinkled my face, brushed my teeth, then went downstairs.
"You're awake." Hiro was the first to greet me with his annoying smirk, even if I wanted to hide until I got to the kitchen, but I forgot that Hiro had a vampire hearing. He has sharp eyes and ears, so words can be heard. I went down sluggishly, and my children greeted me with tight hugs.
"Why didn't you wake me up, kids?" I ask them both while fixing their hair and wiping their faces full of chocolate. "Hey, did you two let these two eat chocolates? You know it will cause them toothache!" I shouted, but the two just whistled.
"Is that a television Raven?" Hiro asked the man, who nodded his head.
"I was deaf for a while," Raven told Hiro, and they were like children; they thought they looked good at what they were doing. I glared at them, but the babies beside me just chuckled as if they really wanted to join those adults.
"I thought we were allies here, Rayden." I pouted in front of him, and he put his finger at his temple as if thinking something. "Hey!"
"Mom, it's boys vs. girls." He corrected me, and he pulled Red towards Hiro and Raven.
"Hey!" I shouted at them, but they just roared and laughed at me. Instead of being annoyed, I secretly smiled behind my dark eyes. I am glad that my Rayden is starting to influence them, which is, I think, the best part of my life. They are starting to get together. "How about you, Hiro? Are you a man now?"
"Yup!" He touches the muscles of Raven teasingly, which I find annoying, but I just avoid my eyes and march leaving them.
I ate after they were done making fun of me for the fact that I couldn't fight with them, they were four and I was just one. And they are right; what do I have against them? Huh, that's why the best thing to do is to eat.
I then proceeded to the secret garden. I could still clearly remember what Daddy had told me that day. I gave a sorrowful smile. No matter what I do, I truly can't go back to how things used to be since that's how things were meant to be. Perhaps you can never truly own your life because it is merely a borrowed thing, regardless of your wealth. There were numerous documents and cameras in the zigzag room, which I entered after going to the stairs.
My grandparents' paintings, valued at a billion dollars and even gold, were treasured for a very long time. There's a lot of CCTV here and they were waiting to see who should be awarded when they suddenly experienced a weird event, and I discovered what the evils did.
I can't remove it except for their other hidden treasures that are located everywhere. In that remote place where gold, diamonds, and even silver are piled up, that's what I distributed to charities, which I brought my grandparents' names to, of course. They own it, they deserve the name for it.
"If you were still alive, it would all be yours." I whisper, "While you two are busy compiling your money, you forgot that you are getting old and weak, so you didn't take advantage of it." I sum up because if they didn't hide it, then they could have this on their own.
I immediately left that place when I heard my kids were looking for me. When they saw me, they grinned.
"Good evening, mom. We're stargazing as Dad suggested." Red claps while Rayden looks at them with pleasure, which earned me emotional because why are they being like that? I felt like we were a whole family without problems, so I hugged them. "I'm so excited, mom! We can do this with Dad forever!" He shouted. "Right, Rayden?"
"Yeah, forever." They both chuckled as they cherished that their father was here. I hope their father will not disappoint them. Rayden looked at Raven finally in the eyes. "Right, father?" he uttered. Raven couldn't answer, so Hiro elbowed him.
"Yeah, baby, yes, of course!" He was stuttering while telling that to our kids and picked Rayden up. I can see some sparkle in his eyes, is he crying? Damn, they're so good-looking together. "I promise, baby, I'll be here forever." He kissed his son's head and picked up Red as well, who was also catching their father's attention.
"Come here, mommy," Red invited me. I was surprised but later on, I was shaking my head to decline. Yet here Hiro went to my place and pushed me towards them. That's why I was being hugged by the man. My eyes widened.
"I hate this scene.” He rolled his eyes and got teary eyes after that. “I'm part of the family right?” He asked and asked once again, "Can I come?" His gay voice suddenly turned on. "Never mind, group hug!" We were cherishing the moment that we were there because we were not aware of what might happen next.
