Raven's Pov.
I told Rayden at that moment when he was alone reading his book, "Baby, I won't take mommy away from you, and I swear that I won't leave you again." I pursued him even though he hadn't approached me. Yet here I am, just wanting him to understand how serious I was about what I wanted. I begged in a hushed voice, "What do you want Dad to do so you can accept me? Just don't shove me, please." I know I'm incapable of handling that, so I don't want him to force me to do it.
"Just leave us because I don't want to see you anymore." He tried to make his voice like a man, so I suddenly wished I was like him before. Brave with what I see around me and ready to say whatever I don't like.
Probably, if I was like him when I was younger, I could have prevented the previous events involving my mother and father, but it was already too late. While I was glad for his bravery I was also upset that he had to do it to me. I acknowledge that because I was a fool that time. I tried to sound encouraging, "Baby, don't you need me? A father that would help you play video games, whatever you want." But he covered his ears, a sign that he didn't want to listen to me.
"I don't need you! Mom is enough for everything, so it's alright with us that you are not around. Just leave!" He stood up and gave me murderous eyes that I didn't expect him to give me that kind of look. "Go away! I know you have a family and you love them more than us!"
"No baby!" I quickly said, "I love you and your mom more than everything. Believe me, I don't have any family but you, Red, your mother and Uncle Hiro.” I was holding his hands but he just withdrew my hands. “When I found out that it was you and Red, I immediately went to check on the two of you, even if I knew you two would hate me. If only I knew that…" I paused a bit just to take a breath, "that I have my kids, I would flow to Chicago and take care of you because you are my children and your mommy needs me."
"Stop pretending that you love us!"
"I wasn’t pretending Rayden.” I shook my head, “I won't leave you and your mommy, Rayden," I begged him. I will do everything to win my son's heart. I don't want us to be like this forever.
"Then prove it!"
I composed myself and kneeled before him to straighten my back, "Would you help me marry your mother?" I held his little hand. He was taken aback by what I told him, so it took a long time before he removed my hand. But that's alright; at least I was able to hold his bare hand; it was too soft and tiny.
"You will marry her? B-but…you have a family, right?!" He accused me of something that was not true. I shook my head. How could he tell me that when I didn't know about that>
"My family is you and your mother; you are the only one I have." I seriously enlightened him about it. Cbiara has always been my only family since then.
She's the only one who cares for a devil like me, the only one who is always mad at me when I go to the rain, and when I'm sick, she's the only one who takes care of me; she's my only family. That's why, when she disappeared, I lost my sanity.
"Are you serious?" He narrowed his eyes on me.
"Isn't it bad when you are lying?" I whispered to him, and he nodded. "Then I'm not lying."
"Promise?" He raised his hand, so I did the same before releasing the word he wanted to hear.
"I promise that to you, Rayden." I smiled at him, but he still glared at me. He really captured my attitude when I became aware of the world I was living in.
In order to have no friends, I manage to be emotionless and act cold when dealing with people, so they know I don't like them. Yet I just distanced myself from them so that I wouldn't hurt any of them, because I knew what would happen to them whenever they were close to me as my Dad threatened me.
Rayden's treatment of me has changed little by little since that day. I knew it; he just had to understand and have assurance so that I could change his mind.
He takes me to the secret room so we can talk about the theme of the wedding and the perfect timing.
"I knew Mom better than you," he pointed out. "That's why what I want will follow." He sounded like a boss who seemed to know everything about things.
"Yes, sir." I want to appeal because I have been with Cbiara for several months, but I forget that they have been together for years and my son is observant. "What you want to do is what will follow."
"Don't you complain about it? Am I too bossy, don't you think?" He asked me and left his seat. This child is just like his mother, so I secretly smiled.
"It's okay, son. I give you the power to make everything the design and whatever and show it to me." I pinched his nose. It was an achievement when I could get near to him and heaven when I was able to touch him whenever I wanted.
Looking at him seriously doing his job like a designer calmed my heart even more. They are not a pain in their mother's head, especially for him, because he knows that his mother is easily hurt by small things.
“Mom loves the beach.” I know, that's where we wanted to be wed when she promised to give me an answer when I came back. “She likes pink, so I suggest a pink dress, and tulips are her favorite flower, so pink tulips are what she will hold. And…I know her favorite ring of all.” He made me tilt my head so I obeyed and he whispered his mom's favorite ring which I knew as well but just zipped my mouth.
"You're good at it, huh?" I praise him, and at his young age, he is already very good at thinking. He got Cbiara and I's brain; that's why he's so smart.
"I'm your son, of course," and to hear that from him still makes my heart race. "I inherited it from you," he smiles rarely, and seeing it now in front of me is my biggest achievement. Damn it! I'm so in love with their mother and them.
When we got out, we hid because Red was looking for us.
"Daddy, Rayden, where are you? Rayden!" He shouted while we giggled on the side of the plants.
"Should we show up now, baby?" I ask him because Red is poor.
"Let's just be here for a minute before we come out when he's near here," he suggested, which was a good idea. I scratched my head.
We both giggled when Hiro saw the two of us, causing Red to see us too. We got up and held hands when we came out.
“Daddy, snack!” Red jum into me, “Nachos!” He shouted. I nodded and looked at Rayden.
"I want pasta," Rayden whispers softly.
"Okay, nachos, fries, and burger then two pastas for Rayden and I are coming up!" Raven announced, and Red clapped his hands. Rayden and Red hold my hands while we're heading to the kitchen.
