Lethia grinned at me and said, "Long time no see Cbiara, you miss me?" as though she was glad to see me in this state. suffering and unsure of how to proceed. "Ohh, how satisfying seeing you like this is. You can't choose which of them to choose, but I'm sorry to tell you. You only choose one because one of your kids will say goodbye."
"N-no! Don't do this, Lethia."
"Ahh," she said, her face full of sardonic sympathy. She chuckled heartily, as if she owned the whole world and had won our battle, "I love seeing you as a miserable woman." All that matters to me right now is that the kids are safe.
I also called them "b-babies." They couldn't talk since their mouths had been tied shut. Red’s eyes were full of water, yet despite his best efforts to appear brave, Rayden could still sense the terror in them. "R-Roux," I called out to him with a crack in my voice. I gave up even more hope when he didn't look. "There is no one to help you, Cbiara, so you need to go shopping, but these two will blow up the car.”
"No!" I yelled in a hurry. Oh no! I knelt down in front of them and made a self-promise to myself that no matter what, I would do everything for my children. I shook my head and interlocked my fingers, saying, "Just take me away, n-not t-them, p-please. Don't do anything to them. Stay away from them, have mercy on my children." My tears are dropping like never-ending waterfalls, one after the other. "You can get everything from me—my wealth, my businesses, my life, everything—just not my kids. Even if it's just me, leave them alone. Please have mercy on my children.”
Lethia gave a big snicker and clapped her hands. It doesn't matter what she believes. My children are everything to me, and I cannot stand to watch them suffer.
"R-Roux, let them go. Have mercy; they're just children; they're still your nephews. T-tell your dad that they are still their g-grandsons; even if you just let them go, and kill me either." I pucker up my lower lip. "I'm going to do what you want me to do; just let them go." Roux remained silent and merely gazed at me, seemingly oblivious to my words, which made me lose hope, but I'm not giving up. Before I could say anything more, Lethia's voice reverberated throughout the entire space. "R-roux, come on.”
"No, Cbiara!" Lethia's voice made me turn my way to her; my eyes widened when she pointed a gun at Red. Where did she bring the gun from? "Choose which of them I will keep!"
"No, Lethia! Me! Just shoot me." Even though I was struggling to speak, I still managed to form what I wanted to convey. "I'll take the bullet for them."
"No! I want you to choose. Do you understand? Or do you want me to choose which of your two children to blow up and which one to keep?!" Her question made me even more anxious. She started shooting at me as soon as I shook my head and knelt down in front of her. Red broke down in sobs as I went completely still. Rayden staggered as I turned to face her. It seemed that she wanted to see me. She shook her head, looking at me.
"Go on and chose wisely, Cbiara, if you don't want them both to be lost!"
"No!" Before I could say a word, Raven's voice thundered around the corner. I looked at him; he was full of blood from his face to his leg. He forced himself to walk next to Mr. Smith. I look at him with pity. "Leave them all, me; I'm what you need, right? My money? My property? Take it, Mr. Smith; take it all, just fvcking don't do this to us."
"If you just take my advice, then everything would be fine."
"I will do everything you want; if you want me to marry Chin, then I will. I will marry her, and everything will go to you. Just fvcking take them off here!" He closed his eyes and looked like he didn't want his children to see and hear this, but it was too late. "I love them so much, Dad; don't hurt the innocent."
"I hate kids, Raven; I hate them as much as I hate Ashton."
"Put all your anger on me." Raven tried to crawl to go to her father, but a broad-eyed man suddenly punched him, so she moaned.
"Raven!" I called him and tried to help him when someone grabbed my hands. "Let go of me!" I shouted.
"Isn't this fun?" Mr. Smith asked me. "I love making you and your dad miserable for taking away my woman."
"She's not yours! No one owns my mom, not even my dad!" I fired back. No one owns a person.
"Shut up! If only your father didn't come, then your mom and I would have a happy ending. And this? Wouldn't happen; nothing like this if they didn't do anything to me." He adjusted his posture. “Choose one last time. Is it Rayden or Red? Or do you want the three of you?" His staff whispered something to him that's why his words didn't finish, and I noticed that his staff left; no one was left, not even the one who held me and Raven with Roux.
"Don't you empathize with them? They're still coming from your blood." I tried to step closer to him, but he glared at me.
"No! I don't have any connection with Ashton."
"They're still kids,"
"I do not care." He turned his back on us, flicked his finger in the air, and suddenly put my children in front of Mr. Smith. "Say bye to your parent's kids," he smirked, but before he could pull the trigger, someone honked, and I saw it was Hiro.
"Come in!" Lethia tried to get me, but I smacked her, then took my children, the first shot of Mr. Smith, so we escaped. "Faster!" He shouted. When I turned around, Raven was calling us while fighting with Lethia and Mr. Smith.
When we got inside the car, we heard a loud gunshot. Hiro started the car, and the last thing I saw was Raven falling to the floor.
