Since I cried all night the second day I came back to Hiro's apartment, I had to give my children a tour of the town where their parents were born. I groomed myself with just a simple lipstick so it wouldn't look like I was pale.
I heard Hiro coming here, so I asked, "Are my babies ready, Hiro?"
"They're super excited, so they agreed and put on their clothes." By hearing his voice and the way he rolled his eyes, I know he wants to be the one to dress my children, so he's acting like that now. "You thought it would be great," he commented. I was about to finish when I looked back at him and went to the edge of the bed where he was sitting.
"Those will get old, and you won't be needed."
"Shut up; there are still many years before they grow old. And they need me; I'm their mother." He tried too hard not to believe because even if he denied it, the day would come when the two would grow up. He stood. "Babies, what do you need?" He shouted as he walked towards Red and Rayden.
Since my cesarean section, Hiro has been devoted to my children; he worked and took care of everything when I was unable to. He was there with my kids. He devoted his entire life to helping the kids and because of this, I know he will be upset when Red and Rayden grow up. He will be the one to cry when the kids are old enough to take care of themselves and don't need our help.
I was dressed simply, and everything seemed to be both exquisite and simple at the same time. I fixed everything because I didn't see this happening. I'm glad to see that I'm satisfied with everything.
"Let's go," I invited them. Hiro was holding Red while Rayden was with me; they were both murmuring ok something and their smiles were almost contagious, especially Red. Rayden can now smile, and Red is in sync. I carried Rayden out while Hiro and Red took the car. "You smile, Rayden? Are you that happy?" I played with his nose.
"I need to go with the flow with Red because what if you and Aunt Hera aren't there? Red would be downcast, and I can't take it seeing him like that, Mom." He pouted, so I kissed him on his lips.
"You're so great, baby." I brought our foreheads together and looked into his eyes, which reminded me of his father. "Thank you, Rayden."
"Welcome, Mom," he grinned. I'm not used to this side of him, but Red made him since he didn't want to see his brother sad. Who would think like that at this age? At this kind of age, they only think about playing and having fun, but Rayden thinks otherwise.
"Mommy." I didn't realize they were out if Red hadn't called me. I waved back to him, and Rayden and I entered the backseat.
"You're already there in the backseat!" Hiro ordered Red, and it looked like his face was already frowning. "I hope Rayden is with me so everything will be quiet.”
"That's too boring, Uncle Hiro," Red teased, making Hiro blush even more.
"I don't know about you!" He started the car explosively and drove it fast, but when there were cars of his colleagues, he drove it slowly. They tease each other, and Rayden also joins, which I find good since he is already keeping up with the two.
The view is already perfect in my sight; I can't lose it, so as long as possible, I'll protect this family. This is my life; I won't let it be ruined just because of the Smith.
"We're here," I interrupted so they could stop their argument, which once again is nonsense.
"Uncle Hiro is such a boy!" Red really wanted to fight for that. "You cannot turn him into a woman; that was a sin."
"But Aunt Hera can make herself who she is. There's no need to point it out."
"Shut up, Rayden. He is a man; he was like us...or don't tell me, you're like Uncle Hiro too? Claiming as a girl?" The boy giggled while the other one was pretty serious.
"It's not good to tease someone like that, Red; let them be because it's not their fault that they were born to be like that," Rayden tried to explain.
"So...is it God's fault?" We were quiet because they wanted to debate right here in the park, so in order not to expand the debate, I took Red and Rayden from Hiro.
How can I tell them to stop it since Hiro will try to find himself? Red must be lectured, so he will be with me now.
"Red." I called him while he was clapping when he saw a large Tyrannosaurus rex walking.
"Yes, mom?" His eyes were still fixed on the performer.
"Let's talk later once you are done, okay?"
"Okay, Mom," he grinned big when he turned my way but also looked back there. I didn't really see where Hiro was, but for sure they are here and just looking at it.
Why are there so many people today? Almost all the seats in the park are occupied, and there are also foods on the side that look like people will be fed.
We saw a lot of performers, and since these kids couldn't take those crazy rides, I brought the two to the horse ride when I saw them. Red and Rayden were so thrilled that we stayed there for thirty minutes. We went to the food and drink vendor when we were exhausted. The two would constantly point out the tall rides on the other side, which I knew they wouldn't be able to ride, so we would just giggle.
"Let's find something different; are you up for an automobile race?” No matter how hard they try to act like grownups, they're still kids though I love them. But Rayden's level is different.
I offer to both of them while pointing at the cars so that I can turn their brains to others. "Can we ride those after this?"I shook my head and hurried over to him, but all of the rides abruptly stopped when someone announced something.
"Everyone, let's stop everything first and show our respect to our governor and hear his speech." My eyes widened when I saw Raven walking among the crowd. "Welcome, Governor Axl Raven Smith; a round of applause, please." Many cheered and applauded while we slowed down to get out of it.
"Who's that, Mommy?" Rayden asked and looked at the man. “He looks like me.”
I covered his mouth.
