77. Angel's Heart Emotions
"Where did Erick go?" Angel asked Anne because the man suddenly disappeared without answering her question.
"I don't know, Your Majesty. The king immediately left after carrying the princess," answered Anne.
Angel lowered her gaze to baby Erlena, who seemed silent in Anne's arms, in contrast to the few minutes she was crying loudly. "Hi, darling... why were you crying so hard? Is something hurt?"
Baby Erlena whined again while shaking her head, her arms stretched out as if she wanted to be carried by her mother.
"You want to come with Mom, hm?" Angel smiled gently, scooping the tiny body into her arms.
Sure enough, baby Erlena immediately hugged Angel's neck, placing her head on her mom's neck. Baby Erlena continues to whine as usual. "Honey, what's wrong with you? How are you feeling?"
Angel turned her gaze to Anne. "What happened earlier?"
"Earlier, the princess was sleeping peacefully, but suddenly she woke up and started crying loudly. I tried to calm her down, but the princess was still crying," explained Anne.
"Did a bug bite her?"
"I don't think so, Your Majesty."
Lily was still moving to cradle baby Erlena's body, with one hand gently rubbing her daughter's back. "Do you want to drink breast milk, honey?"
"Eengg... eengg... eengg...." Baby Erlena was still whining without wanting to lift her head, looking comfortable resting on her mother's chest.
"Even though she doesn't have a fever," muttered Angel, confused. The reason is, all this time baby Erlena has been very calm, rarely crying or fussing, even at night.
"Are you bored at home? Should we go for a walk-"
Angel's voice suddenly stopped when suddenly she heard a ring from her cell phone on the nightstand. She walked towards the small table and then grabbed the cell phone which displayed an unknown number.
"Hello..." Angel said as she pressed the flat object to the surface of her ear.
"Hello, is this Angel Matthew?"
"Yeah right, sorry who was I talking to."
"Angel... this is Dr. Emma, your mother's colleague."
Angel's forehead was furrowed. "Yes, what's wrong, Dr. Emma?"
"Dr. Matthew had a heart attack-"
"What?!" Angel screamed with wide eyes, even her heart seemed to stop beating at that moment.
There was a heavy sigh on the other side. "We also didn't know at first, what is certain is that our officers found Dr. Matthew just lying on one of the beds in the emergency room."
"But..." Angel's lips looked so dry, that her body started to tremble. "How... is mommy doing?"
"You'd better come to the hospital."
Angel nodded quickly, her eyes already feeling hot. "Okay, I'll go there now."
Angel immediately turned off the phone. Her again rubbed baby Erlena's back gently. "Honey, Mom has to go to the hospital. Erlena stay here with Anne, okay?"
"Meng... eng...." Baby Erlena was still whining, and instead gripped tightly to the clothes her mother was wearing.
Angel, who was insensitive, immediately let go of baby Erlena's arms, intending to give her daughter to Anne. But what happened, Baby Erlena immediately started crying and screaming, with both hands and feet continuing to stomp hard.
"Oh my God, princess..." Anne seemed at a loss to calm the baby.
"Erlena, what's wrong with you?" Angel asked a little annoyed, because now anxiety was dominating her.
"I want to come, Mother. Why are you angry with me?"
Angel's body stiffened when she heard that tiny voice in her head again. It felt like she was still not used to communicating with her little daughter.
"Oh my God," muttered Angel as she grabbed the tiny body again, hugging it tightly. "I'm sorry, darling... I worry too much about many things."
Angel looked back at Anne. "Please change your clothes, Anne. You will also come with us to the hospital."
Arriving at the hospital, Angel rushed to the ICCU room where her mother was being treated. She came with Anne and baby Erlena.
"Mommy..." Angel immediately walked quickly towards the bed, looking fearfully at Mrs. Matthew lay helpless there. The monitor screen displays a regular graph, indicating that Mrs. Matthew's heart is still beating.
"What happened?" Angel sat on the edge of the bed, holding her mother's hand gently.
"Dr. Matthew was diagnosed with a heart attack," said Dr. Emma also walking towards the bed. "It seemed like she felt what was happening, so he immediately lay down in the emergency room."
Angel's eyes looked watery, but it couldn't hide the sharp look there. She knew that her mother couldn't have a heart attack, especially when her mother's skin condition was the same as what happened to Bella.
"She should just rest at home she shouldn't come to the hospital."
"Mommy didn't take leave because her co-worker had an accident-"
"That's me, Angel."
Angel immediately turned around when Dr. Emma said these words, her brow furrowed deeply. "You mean?"
"I was Dr. Matthew's substitute on leave, but she said someone told her that I had an accident."
"What?!" Angel narrowed her eyes sharply, and her jaw visibly tightened. She is increasingly convinced that everything that happened to her mother was engineered by the evil vampire who also killed Bella.
"Eeng... egg...." Baby Lulla whined again, leaning towards her mother.
"What is it, honey?" Angel grabbed her daughter's body. He knew that baby Erlena wanted to get closer to her mother.
Sure enough, the baby was seen immediately rubbing Mrs. Matthew with a calm face, her other hand holding Angel's arm.
"Fuck!" Angel cursed unconsciously, her hands clenched tightly when she saw what baby Erlena saw. She saw everything when Rose talked to her mother, and also when Erick helped her mother.
"Where is your father now?!" Angel's voice rose as she looked at baby Erlena.
"Angel, what's wrong with you?" asked Dr. Emma confused. "Why are you scolding your daughter like that? She's still a baby."
"Your Majesty, calm yourself," whispered Anne frantically as she rubbed Angel's back gently.
Angel closed her eyes, trying to suppress the emotions that had accumulated in her chest. She was catching her breath, and that's when she felt a gentle caress on her cheek.
"Father is at the castle, Mother."
Angel opened her eyes quickly when she heard baby Erlena's voice in her mind. "Are you sure, darling?"
"Angel, what happened to you?" asked Dr. Emma shuddered with fear.
"Um... sorry, Doctor," said Anne, realizing the change in the doctor's facial expression. "Maybe Miss Angel is tired, I will take her back home so she can rest."
"Ah, okay then. Dr. Matthew will be safe here, and will be under intensive observation... then, I'll excuse myself."
"Thank you, Doctor," said Anne.
"Thank you, Anne," said Angel after Dr. Emma left the room. She looked back at baby Erlena, stroking her red cheek gently. "I'm sorry, darling... I'm really confused."
Baby Erlena immediately pressed her body against her mother's chest, as if she wanted to hug her tightly.
"Sorry, Mom." Angel kissed the baby's head. "Mommy shouldn't have shouted at you."
"Sorry, Your Majesty... what happened?" asked Anne, who also looked confused, because she couldn't hear baby Erlena's voice.
"We're going to the castle now!" Angel said firmly.
