62|Your destiny awaits|

"I know what it is!" "What?" He shook his head and removed the walkie talkie from his waist band. "Alex, what is it?" He ignored me. "Prince Cedric to security, do you hear me? Over." Static followed before a men replied. "Treasure security to prince, everything okay, your highness?" "I want you to usher Aiden and Asher Parker safely to the threshold of treasure. Over." My eyes widened and jaw dropped. Alex just winked at me. "Roger that." The line went dead. "Why would you need them?! They are not Law!" I gasped. He placed his free hand on my shoulder. "Do you trust me, Cygnet?" "I do." I replied in a heartbeat. He breathed out and smiled. "Then believe me that maybe they both aren't Law but they are your brothers. Maybe their blood is not Law but the lines of their palms connect your heart. They are your siblings and that makes them mine too." I looked at him in awe. "You are the most understanding person I have ever came across." He shrugged. "Why, thank you." I chuckled but it faded when I heard static. "Treasure security to Prince, the Parkers are on entrance of the tomb, your highness. Over." "Great. Give them a smoke torch and send them in. You can leave. Over and out." I bit my lip as I heard footsteps echo louder and louder with every second. "Astrid? Alex?" "Where are you?!" "Over here!" I shouted and saw silhouettes of my brothers approaching us. When my eyes landed on them, they sighed in relief along with Alex and me. Hastily, they stepped towards us and noticed the weird wheel. "W-What is it?" Ash asked. "Keep your right hand next to us on this wheel." They frowned but reluctantly did it. Their palms sunk in the clay and in a heartbeat's time, I saw a red glow illuminating every boundary of circles on the huge wheel. "Whoa!" "What just happened?" "Is that real?!" We gasped collectively and removed our hands once the last circle glowed. As we stepped away from wheel, I heard rocks of the walls move in different direction. My brothers held me protectively as we took in the scene before us. A grinding sound resounded, forcing us to look down. The wheel was spinning slowly and when it stopped, a new circle was built around our handprints but that didn't shock me. What shocked me was our handprints. There were different coloured jewels studded on each print. We looked at each other and nodded. I picked mine up and it was a diamond. Alex had an aquamarine. Aiden had an amethyst and Asher had an emerald. My jaw was gracefully sitting on the floor as I looked at it with awe. "W-What are w-we supposed to d-do w-with that?" Aiden breathed out in awe. "I have n-no idea." Alex whispered as I raised the stone upwards to study it. My eyes flitted past the shine of diamond and fell on a stone with strange carving. "There." I pointed and everyone followed my direction. We rounded the wheel and stepped towards the stone. It was in shape of a balance. Balance of Law. There were 10 round slots on each side of balance's carving. I frowned in confusion. "What next?" Everyone fell silent until Asher clapped his hands. "You all may be the potential class valedictorian, but I know what this may mean." Every head snapped towards him. "What is it?" "See, diamond represents innocence, emerald is for happiness, aquamarine signifies courage and amethyst implies sincerity." We nodded as hint of reality settled in. "If I am studying it right then, all these stones are representation of our qualities. We need to balance them." "Makes sense." Alex nodded and patted a smug Asher on shoulder. "How do we balance?" I mused. "I think innocence and happiness are soft qualities while courage and sincerity are kind of tough sounding? We need to sort them out." Aiden shrugged. "I think innocence is balanced by courage and happiness with sincerity?" Alex offered and we sighed. "Like, my twin balances your twin and vice versa? Interesting." "Let's try it." I shrugged and they nodded. "On the count of three." Asher said and everyone positioned their stones on first two slots of each side. "1...2...3" And we pushed our gems inside as we stepped back. The heavy side of balance shifted upwards and the balance equalized. I squealed and my brothers whooped as we shared a group hug. Tears filled my eyes and I wanted the moment to stay forever. After a minute, the stone wall on right slid upwards to reveal a metal door meanwhile the stone of the balance rotated and a single gold key was placed behind it. It was beautiful and I had a feeling that it was made a few seconds ago. Why? Because all 4 of our stones were studded in its gorgeous end. Taking the key with trembling yet excited hand, I looked at my brothers. They nodded with a smile and we stepped towards the metal door. "Hold m-my h-hand." I whispered and they grabbed my arm as I poked the beautiful gold key in hole and twisted it. A gasp escaped our lips as the moment the door opened, the room behind it lit up while the sound of fireworks echoed outside automatically announcing the moment. My eyes reflected the mild golden hue of the huge room filled with statues, books, scrolls, paintings and other artefacts. It was enchanting. A single gold studded scroll caught our eye. It was a metre in front of the entry. I gulped as I stepped towards it with my brothers. Alex picked it up and unfolded it. Step out, my children. Your destiny awaits. ~~~~~THE END~~~~~
