Why Him?
Why Him?

What the hell! Damn it! I could not believe what I was hearing from Andrés! He has already got Carolina, now he just has to put a ring on her finger, but what's wrong with this guy? In everyone's eyes, especially my father's, Andrés is the perfect son. I am going to have to keep a very close eye on him, and the time has come for me to have a serious talk with him. He is never scorned or heard our father insult him, but rather to remind me that I am the ugly duckling of the family. Why is he interested in Orely? Is he up to something with our father? Or with his Mercedes, his mother?
She has always hated me, trying to turn Andrés against me because I am not her son! Fortunately. But it is also possible that my mother is not dead, because the investigations are still ongoing and it is just a matter of time before her marriage to my father is annulled. Then, I'll be the first to celebrate, champagne glass in hand!
I clench my fists as I think about how she has managed to win my father's trust. She is a real manipulator and I can see right through her at home, the holy nitwit! She does not know my true identity yet, and the day she does, she will come crawling up to my feet, I will make her lick my shoes and make her eat dust, that old fishwife! I'll have to keep an eye on her too. She is like a mouse in the house. As soon as the big cat is not around, she will be dancing her ass off.
After spending some time by the sea, chatting in the sunshine with Orely, we decided to come in for a cup of coffee. I am slowly learning that if she does not have her coffee in the morning, it is a wasted day. I'll have to carry coffee with me at all times, then I can calm her down with it or else with my talent in bed. Y
Oh yes, white hat, white hat! Octavio was in charge of making them for us, and Miss Rebel enjoyed them, even remarking that they were top quality. With me, nothing is low-end, she will always have the best and most refined like her.
Now that she is gone to her room to rest, enough joking, I take my phone out of my pocket, dial Alvaro's number and ask him to take a look at Andrés and Mercedes. I want to know everything about them, what they really do all day. And above all, especially Andrés, why did he take a chance on Orely? Holy shit! It pisses me off just thinking about it! But I stay calm because I have already got these twins to deal with. Going back to Mexico won't be any time soon..
Since I have got a bit of time before I am off to join Alvaro and Leopoldo to take action, I head to a private gym to blow off some steam on a punching bag. You can't imagine how good it feels to sweat and throw punches over and over again. Earphones in my ears, music blaring, all I have to do is think of my father and now Andrés and the adrenaline kicks in and I smash the punching bag. Luckily, the gym is empty, and as I stare at my reflection in the big glass window, my face is terrifying. Don't even think about getting close to me, it will be certain death!
After twenty minutes of calming down and doing push-ups, I get into the shower to freshen up. All that is left for me to do is get dressed and leave. My driver and men are waiting for me downstairs. Wearing my sunglasses on my nose, I step confidently out of the building, giving myself an air of both class and mystery. The sun is shining brightly, casting a glare on the deserted street. I would advise you not to stand there unless you want to burn your skin.
Outside, my driver, impeccably dressed in a black suit, stands by the armored car, doors open, ready to greet me. Around us, a few of my men stand in position, making sure every move is secure. Their eyes scan the surroundings vigilantly, ready to react to the slightest threat. Finally, I get into the car and make myself comfortable in the back seat. I take my mobile out of my pocket and dial Alvaro's number.
"I am on my way. Prepare the weapons." I announced, my words laden with authority.
Everything is under control. Alvaro confirms that everything is ready and I hang up. The driver starts the car and, aware of the power and security that surrounds me, I look out of the tinted window, watching the trees begin to fade as the driver picks up speed.
Let the serious business begin.
