90. The Wedding!

90. The Wedding!

Author's POV

"We need to talk, come out!"
Arthur sounded offended by Arabella's decision.

Everyone watched him as he stormed out of the meeting room.

"It's okay, tell them whatever you feel. I am with you."
Damian assured her.

Oliver was also looking offended but he grabbed her hand to led her out carefully. He had turned extra soft since he has heard about the pregnancy.

"Arthur!"
Arabella called him, she was feeling guilty.

Arthur turned around madly. It was like he is more hurt than mad.
"See, I know you are more raw and skilled than us but that doesn't mean you should underestimate us... You think we can't handle this situation?"
He scolded her.
Arabella tried to grab his hand but he stepped back.
"It means you don't trust us."

Arabella's eyes filled with water. She hugged Arthur and held on him tightly.
"I trust you more than myself but this was never the reason. I am marrying you because of my own insecurities."

Arthur sighed and wrapped his arms around her.
"Dove, we want to marry you too. As soon as possible! The only reason to delay it was that you should enjoy your wedding. We will be free from the chaos."

"What is your reason?"
Oliver asked while kissing back of her head.

Arabella took a deep breath.
"I was abused because I was born before my parents marriage... I don't want that for our baby."
She held his hand promisingly.
"I trust you and I am sure that you will win the match but can you guaranty that you won't be injured. What if we have to wait because of that. I want to birth our baby when I am your wife... We don't know the future, I just want to be your wife as soon as possible."

Arthur felt guilty for misunderstanding her. His anger flew out when he realized that this is the first time she has talked about her childhood.
"I am sorry, I should have known that you will be having strong reason."

"Why don't you have any questions regarding my past?"
She broke the hug when the doubt of them knowing about her poked her. Both of them stood there quietly and that answered her questions.
"You know about me? My identity?"
Oliver nodded.
"Why didn't you throw me out after knowing it?"
She asked.

"Why did you fell for us knowing we are your enemies?"
Oliver questioned and this time she stayed silent.

"Were you scared that we won't trust you?"
Arthur placed hand under her chin and made her look at him.

There was no intension to let anyone find out about it but it happened.
"How did you find out?"
She asked him confused.

"You think I wouldn't know that your trackers will stop working on that island. You had hidden trackers and mikes in your suit."
Arthur smirked.
"It doesn't matter, you belongs to us and it's not going to change."

"He is one of the reason why I want to get married as soon as possible. He is not happy that I am with you."
She was hesitant while confessing.

"As you wish... If you want to get married now then we will do it..."
Oliver assured.
"I'll ask everyone to do the preparations."

She grabbed his hand when he was about to leave.
"I don't want big wedding... Signs on papers will do. I am not in state of big celebration."

Brothers looked at each other and understood that she is under pressure, she just wants to get married before anything happens. They decided to do big wedding after the match and agreed with her.
"Okay, as you wish."
Oliver promised and went inside to inform his family.

Everyone was still waiting for them.
"We will get married but she doesn't want big celebration so I guess we will just sign the papers."

"Why not big celebration? I want my sons to get married like they deserve all the happiness."
Damian frowned.
"If you are worried that Rancho will do something then I'll take care of it."

"No, Dad!... It's not about that. She is not in right state currently. After the match we will do the big fat wedding but right now she just needs peace of mind and assurance."
Oliver explained.

"Fine, we will do it. Damian, it's okay"
Rose agreed, knowing what Arabella is going through now.

"But at least we can have a small family get together in the garden. Small ring ceremony kind of celebration within family. Can we?"
Julie asked excitedly.

"I think we can"
Rose nodded.

"Great! Leave everything to me, I'll do the preparations."
She grinned.

Arabella went back to her room. Sleeping that night felt like a task, she was anxious about the morning and wedding.
Knight brothers were beside her, occasionally checking on her but she was still not feeling stable.

She got up and silently sat at the balcony. Arthur noticed it and joined her.
"Everything will be fine, Dove."

Arabella sighed and leaned on his chest.
"I don't know... What if something happens... This silence feels like a silence before the storm."

"We can handle the storm if you are by our side. We can face challenges to have you... We are not stealing you from anyone, we are winning you and for that we can fight more battles if we have to."

Arabella smiled.
"I love you!"

He smiled back.
"We love you too."

She placed her head on his chest and he kept caressing her, allurring her to sleep. Oliver was admiring them while leaning against the window frame.

From being jealous to admire each other, they have come a long way.

Arthur tucked her under bedsheets and Oliver asked him.
"What do you think?"

Arthur smirked.
"let the emotions flow, brother... It will be in our favour."

Oliver looked at Arabella and sighed.
"Hopefully!"

Next morning, Arabella got up and Julie was already there to get her ready.
"Come on, everyone is waiting for you downstairs."

Arabella saw white dress in her hand and raised her eyebrows.
"Seriously?"

"Of course! This is a normal dress, go and wear it!"
Julie tossed it towards her and Arabella huffed. She was feeling uneasy.

She wore the dress, it was light, simple and elegant with deep neck and satin fabric.

After getting ready she went to the garden where everyone was waiting for her. She felt grateful seeing that they respected her wish and kept everything simple.

Knight brothers smiled and made her stand between them at the table. Papers were placed in front of them.

Both of them signed papers and handed the pen to Arabella, she was about to sign the paper when she heard the voice which was haunting her for the whole night.

"What happened to the tradition where they ask if anyone has any objection for the marriage.?"
Everyone's eyes snapped towards the entrance.
"Because I want to object this wedding!"
Egon's deep voice created pin drop silence.
