88. Unfair Ways!
Author's POV
Arabella quickly grabbed Rose, she was shot on the arms.
Rose looked up and saw the assassin with her egale eyes, Arabella also saw him.
Their reflexes worked in sink, both had compact javelins which became full sharp slender things with the press of one button.
The assassin tried to run while jumping from one roof to other but he failed to understand that women he was messing with are warriors.
Arabella and Rose threw the slender javelins at the same time and it cut through both the thighs of assassin. The crowd around them screamed and started running away.
The man shot himself before he gets caught alive.
Arabella checked on Rose, the wound was deep and bullet was still inside yet Rose didn't even flinch in pain. Arabella tied her arm with her scarf.
"Let's go to the hospital!"
Arabella grabbed a bike and Rose sat behind her.
Meanwhile brothers and Damian came running towards the hospital when they got the news.
Arabella informed them about whatever happened and Damian was fuming in anger.
"I want Rancho alive in my basement..."
He ordered his sons.
"It's yours responsibility."
He slammed open the door of the operation theatre.
"Sir, please stay out."
The doctor requested but Damian's one glare made him tremble in fear.
Rose looked at him and smiled.
"Stop scaring people..."
Damian's eyes filled with pain when he saw her swollen arm and blood around her.
"Angel?"
She grabbed his hand and placed her forehead on his.
"I am fine, Dami..."
"We'll ask doctor about it."
He kissed her forehead deeply, his heart was clenching in pain and anger at the same time.
"The bone has little crack and wound is deep... It will be fine after surgery, nothing to worry about..."
The doctor informed.
Brothers looked at their mother and with passing second their anger was rising.
"I am sorry, it's all because of me..."
Arabella apologised.
She was feeling guilty after looking at Rose.
Arthur pulled her in a hug and placed hand on her belly.
"It's not your fault... You are safe and that's the only thing matters right now."
"She got injured because of me."
Arabella sighed.
Rose shook her head.
"You were never the target."
Arabella frowned confused.
"Right!"
Arthur agreed.
"Rancho knows that he can't directly hurt Mom so he planned it smartly. He knew she will try to save you and he will get the chance to hurt Mom... He is using unfair ways..."
"If that coward is so scared of facing my wife then he should stay in his bed... Motherfucker is going to regret this stupid stunt."
Damian gritted.
"He was always insecure of her... He shows that he can kill Rose Ma'am but doesn't have guts to face her... It's ridiculous!"
Arabella was annoyed.
"It shows he is scared of us..."
Oliver felt disgusted.
"It's okay, he has no escape from Knights... Now he have to face Arthur and me... He loved the concept of twins being one person, now he will understand how it feels to deal with them."
Rose looked at them proudly.
"I trust you!"
Arabella also believes in them but she was little worried about them getting hurt.
"Don't worry, Kitten... We will win."
Oliver assured her.
Arabella was not worried about that, what bothering her was that Rancho was using unfair ways and she was sure that he will do the same with them.
"We will plan for that too, guys... Don't worry!"
Rose assured. Her phone rang but she wasn't able to move her hand as anesthesia had numb her one side.
Damian grabbed her phone and rolled his eyes.
"Who's it?"
Rose asked amused after looking at his reaction.
"Your little fan plus minion."
Damian placed it on speaker.
"Vladimir Volkov!"
"Rose, was it Rancho?"
Vald asked her, voice was deep and dark.
"Probably! Who else?"
She wasn't surprised that he found out.
"Just say it and I'll blow up his agency... Knights have ethics, I don't!"
He sounded mad, he deeply respects Rose and this act of Rancho offended him.
Rose chuckled.
"You sound mad."
"Because you are too calm for the situation... I don't understand why is he still alive?"
Vlad questioned.
"Thank you for the concern Mr. Volkov but we have got this."
Damian mocked.
"No doubt, Mr. Knight... I trust you with her safety... Let me know if you need any help."
He said and Damian always gets amused how Rose has all mafia's wrapped around her fingers. Everyone loves her.
After Vladimir, Dominik and Alexander called her.
Arabella felt little relieved knowing they have support of other Mafia's.
She noticed how Knight brothers were looking at Rose's injury.
She never wanted to start any chaos, but now that it has started then it has to be put to the end.
They took Rose home and once she was stable, they started planning for the fight day.
"Done for the match, now what about your future?"
Damian asked as a head of the family.
"She is pregnant and it doesn't make any sense to delay your marriage anymore."
"We were thinking the same but I guess it would be better if we do it after the match."
Arthur suggested.
"If you ask me then I suggest that you should do it before the match."
Damian suggested.
"Are you scared that something will happen to us?"
Oliver questioned.
"Don't you trust us, Dad?"
Damian sighed.
"I trust you but we can't see future... I just want Arabella's future to be safe. She is pregnant, she needs Knight name for her baby."
"Nothing is going to happen..."
Rose stated.
"I don't need any other assumptions."
"Let's ask her."
Damian declared.
"What do you think, Arabella?"
She was already in deep thoughts, thinking what should be done.
If she gets married now then it will indicate that she doesn't trust them and if she doesn't then there is someone who might won't let it happen.
She was stuck.
