Author's POV
"Rancho, Knights have challenged you for fight..."
Rancho's personal assistant informed him.
Rancho smirked while cleaning his gun.
"As expected! I was waiting for this, finally it's time to destroy Knights."
"But don't you think that they are strong... You know that Arabella and Rose can single handedly take down our people. Knight brothers, Rosetta and Skyler, they are group of powerful people... We shouldn't underestimate!"
He sounded little hesitant.
"We have chances of loosing against them..."
Rancho scowled annoyed.
"You think they can defeat master?"
He cleared his throat awkwardly.
"Apologies if I offend you but Renzo used to say that raw experience is always greater than heritance and advance skills are of no use if you don't know how to use them... I believe that Arabella has more than enough raw experience, we have seen her taking down Egon's men effortlessly. That was the reason why he wanted her as his bodyguard but she was involved with Knights so he rejected her... She was Egon's choice which shows that she is a major threat..."
"Please, Borlo... I don't want to hear whom you fear... I am the master and I know how to win."
He dismissed him annoyingly.
Rancho showed his confidence in front him but deep down he was worried, he knows that he wasn't loyal to his skills. Masters are supposed to take missions which will shook them to the core but he was lazy in that, he used Arabella for those mission while he was busy in enjoying his luxury.
No doubt he is powerful and can easily fight any fight but is he ready to handle Arabella who is burning in hate for him. She will come prepared and if he loose against his student then it would be shameful for him.
If he takes care of Arabella then Rose will enter the ring and he is lowkey afraid of her, he knows that she is a beast. They were trained together and he has doubt that she has observed his moves and might have counter attacks for it.
He wasn't showing but he was definitely worried about the fight and wasn't underestimating Knights.
He called his man.
"Have you done the work? It's been three weeks now yet we haven't received any news."
He was getting anxious.
"Master, I have done my work and news must be on the way... I am sure of that."
The person informed.
Rancho disconnected the call and still he was not convinced. He didn't want to but had to call Egon.
"Hello, Cousin!"
"Come to the point, what favour do you need now?"
Egon replied in his deep voice.
"Don't say that, I also have done enough favours on you..."
Rancho chuckled playfully.
"Fine, I'll come to the point... Knights have challenged me, I'll handle them but if it's required then I want you to step in for me... We are our only family now."
"Send me the date and time, I'll be there."
Saying that he disconnected the call.
Rancho smirked victoriously knowing that now he is not alone.
Meanwhile, Arabella was practicing with Rose. Learning new few advance techniques which Rancho didn't taught her.
"You are close. Done!"
Rose clicked the stopwatch and Arabella sat on the ground exhausted. She was drenched in sweat and had turned red.
"You are a beast."
She laid back on the soft grass and looked at Rose.
Rose smirked.
"We have just started, darling..."
Arabella huffed.
"Have you taught these techniques to Arthur and Oliver, if yes then they didn't use it on me when we were fighting."
Rose nodded.
"They know but it can kill the opponent on spot so they didn't use it on you... They wanted to win you, not kill you."
Arabella chuckled.
"So kind of them!"
"Girls, let's have lunch now... You can resume this craziness later."
Arthur walked there and gave his hand to Arabella to stand.
She grabbed his hand and her legs trembled while standing up. Her body was breaking with the ache.
"Now I understand why you don't practice with your mother anymore... This woman doesn't know how to stop!"
Arabella rested her head on his chest and complained making Rose laugh.
Arthur chuckled.
"I still feel that she is more gentle with you... You should seen us begging for mercy."
"Keep complaining, I am going for a lunch."
Rose shook her head with chuckle and started walking away.
Arthur picked her up but Rose stopped and turned towards him.
"Don't pick her up, let her walk so her muscles can loosen up..."
She ordered.
He placed her down but held her hand, Rose again shook her head, disapproving it.
He huffed and stepped away from Arabella.
Arabella took a deep breath and started walking on her trembling legs. Each step was painful for her, the pain which she haven't felt for years. But this pain also felt victorious because she was up-skilling herself.
Arthur stood behind her and watched her proudly as she took baby steps. He could see how hard she was working.
The things were going smoothly till now, their relationship was also flourishing. They have created so many memories in just few days.
He just wants things to go as planned and wants their woman to be happy.
His smile faded when Arabella stopped and collapsed on the ground.
"Dove?"
He ran towards her with lighting speed.
Rose heard and turned to see her on the ground. She also rushed towards them.
"Mom, what's wrong with her?"
Arthur scooped her in his arms.
"She shouldn't be fainting like this... Something is wrong."
Rose got worried and called the doctor.
They placed her on the bed and and Arabella was still in daze.
"What was the last time she had her periods?"
Rose asked checking her wrist veins.
"It's not possible, Mom..."
Oliver shook his head.
"We use protection... It's impossible!"
"Right! We were careful."
Arthur agreed.
Rose looked at them confused because the traditional way of checking it said something else.
"Okay, let's wait for the doctor."
She wanted to confirm it.
The doctor came who works in their private hospital.
He did necessary checkups and got up.
"Nothing to worry about, it's a good news!"
He announced and all faces drained colours. Brothers looked at Arabella shocked and she was still recovering from the unconscious.
