78. The Danger Ahead!
Author's POV
Arabella kept staring at Rancho's name. Knights got up and Oliver grabbed her phone.
"Rancho, I believe that she is working for us now and not you then may I know the reason for calling her?"
Rancho smirked.
"You started talking, looks like presence of the person really matters."
"What do you want, Rancho?"
Oliver rolled his eyes.
"Even if she is working for you, remember that I am her owner and I have just rented her to you... Owner always have the right to check on his property... Now be kind to me and let me talk to her."
He mocked.
Rose placed hand on Oliver's shoulder and nodded. She knows how things work.
Arabella grabbed the phone from Oliver but it was still on speaker.
"Good evening, Rancho!"
"Good evening my foot, Arabella... You have hung the naked sword on my head after killing Spider..."
Rancho hissed angrily.
Arabella took a deep breath, she doesn't know how he found out.
"I didn't kill him."
"Shhh... Don't you dare lie to me, sweetheart... I know that its just you who can handle the effect of that poison. Only you know how to do it... You fucked up by killing him..."
He sounded restless.
"If Egon finds out that it was you then I am fucked for good... Do you even realise what you have done?"
"I didn't kill him, Rancho..."
She was settled on her response, she was not going to accept it in the open. She knows that Rancho is not hundred percent sure and he is trying to make her confess.
"Arabella, Egon will ask me to kill Knights if it gets confirmed that you killed his trusted man and I will have to follow his order... If you come in between then I have to kill you too, why in the whole world you had to mess with Egon. You know who he is... I am fucked now, he is going to demand your death. Do you understand?"
He was screaming on top of his lungs.
"Come back, leave everything and come back... I am ending contract with Knights. I can kill them but not you. You are my biggest asset. If you want to save yourself then leave Knights and come back now..."
Arabella looked at Knight brothers when he said that.
They shook their heads. Rose assuringly grabbed her hand.
"Say, no! I am with you."
She mouthed.
Her eyes met with Knights and they were waiting for her answer. They just confessed and completed her biggest dream.
Now she was standing on the path which will break their hearts again and turning around will invite darkest danger.
She took a deep breath.
"I am not coming back, Rancho... I want to leave the agency and want to stay with Knights."
She turned around on the path because it didn't lead her towards heartbreak. Going back wasn't an option as Rancho was anyhow going to hurt Knights.
Arthur and Oliver finally breathed in relief when she said that.
"You what?"
Rancho scowled.
"Are you out of your fucking mind? Do you understand what you are saying? Looks like that Rose has influenced you... She was a slut, you are not..."
"Rancho!"
Knights growled when he abused their mother.
"You have invited painful death for you by saying this shit!"
Rose saw Damian angrily calling someone but grabbed his hand and stopped him.
"He is trying to trigger us, don't fall for it..."
She requested.
"I don't give a fuck because now Egon is on the way to destroy you... I'll just sit and watch your doom... All the best to you."
Rancho disconnected the call.
"I am sorry!"
Arabella looked at Rose.
Rose shook her head.
"It's not your fault..."
She cupped her face and kissed her forehead.
"Welcome to the family!"
Her smile was proud.
"Don't worry, we'll deal with this together."
Arabella nodded and hugged Rose, she always gives her warm feeling. Just like a mother.
The party was over and Arabella went back to her room. She changed into comfy clothes and slept on the mattress which was on the floor.
She saw Arthur and Oliver walking in, she didn't react. Just placed her arm on her eyes and tried to sleep.
Arthur took off his hoodie and slide down on her right side while Oliver slide down to her left side. They left space of one feet between them knowing she feels suffocated in crowded and closed place.
"Why you guys are here?"
She asked with closed eyes.
"You are sleeping on the floor then how can we sleep on the bed?"
Oliver questioned.
"Why would you declare everything in front of everyone knowing it's dangerous?"
She mumbled. Her voice held no complaint but curiosity.
"Because nothing is more scary than loosing you."
They just admired her from far.
None of them tried to touch her knowing she still haven't forgiven them.
"What's next?"
She asked.
"We are destroying Egon's biggest warehouse, it will weaken him more after Spider's death... We both will be executing it."
Arthur informed.
"The biggest warehouse is located near his castle... It means Egon will be nearby."
She looked at them.
"You are not going there, I'll go..."
"No!"
Oliver shook his head.
"It's not safe!"
"Exactly!"
She stated.
"He lived in a castle which is surrounded by dense forest and that forest is surrounded by the ocean... Egon has complete control over his area. I know the place better than you, I have researched on it... I am going there and that's final."
Arthur sighed.
"But Dove___"
Arabella frowned at him and he rubbed his face.
"Fine but you will not enter his Castle... Just destroy the warehouse and come back."
Arabella nodded but she had other plans and it might lead face to face with Egon.
