Dawn of a New Day Part 2
Dawn of a New Day Part 2
“Yes.” After I used the restroom, he went in. I opened a few boxes to find something to wear. I opted for a nice white blouse and a black leather pencil skirt.
“You look nice,” he says with a smile.
I sigh. “We have to go to my work, remember?”
Chase smirks. “Oh, I do. Randall will regret touching you.”
“No bloodshed.”
“I will try, but I can't promise that Malcolm won't end him,” he replies.
“He didn't succeed with whatever he wanted to do. He doesn't deserve death.”
Chase shakes his head. “Doesn't matter. I'm glad he didn't because if he did, I would rip him to pieces.”
“Me too, but no ripping unless it's to get me naked.” I walk with Chase to his room. I sit down on the bed and watch him change. Thoughts of interrupting him flood my mind. I just bite my lip.
He just chuckles. Yep, he heard me. This is so embarrassing.
Chase kisses my cheek. “It's cute. I would love to take you again, but if we are any later, they will come looking for us. Besides us being able to hear each other, it might come in handy.”
“True.”
Chase kissed me softly. “I meant that we can try anything you want.” I blushed. He smirks and then kisses me harder. We walk to breakfast hand in hand.
“Fuck you, Charming!” Trent growls.
Chase shakes his head. “No amount of alcohol in the world, man.”
Trent smirks. “Oh, there will be a way.” He looks at me and winks. “Right, love?”
“Emma,” Chase warms. I just bite my lip.
Mike's laugh shakes the table. Everyone just looks at him. “It's funny.”
Chase glared at him. “Like Hell!”
Mike laughed louder. “Look at me and tell me that if she asked you to try for her, you wouldn't.”
Chase just looks at me. “Fuck!”
“You didn't say anything,” I reply with a wink. Mike laughs again. I won't ask, but having any two of these men with me at once is extremely tempting.
Chase grumbles. “Fuckoff. Just wait until you find a mate, man.”
Mike grins. “I can't wait.”
“We do have a question, though,” I say.
Eric smiles. “You can ask anything you want, and you know that.”
“We hear each other even when the bracelet is working.”
“I felt her, and that's why I went to her last night. Then once there, I could hear her a bit. The longer I stayed and the closer we got, I could hear everything,” Chase explains.
“Oh, that's some freaky shit,” Trent says. “Love, come here.” I go over and he pulls me onto his lap. Chase just watches him and doesn't react. Maybe he really does accept this? Trent runs his hands through my hair and over my arms. It feels good. It feels like being touched with sparks from a sparkler. “Her allure is still the same. But I feel more.” He nuzzled my neck. “You awakened something, Charming. Maybe it was attached to that light that you let loose last night.”
“Charming, you okay? You're not trying to kill him or storming off,” Mike says.
Chase smiles. “I accept her. I accept it all after last night.”
Eric thinks. “Hmmm…”
“What?” I ask.
“When you were touching him, what did you see and feel?” Eric asks, and I bite my lip. “Besides that.”
I blush, and they all laugh. Trent grins. “Love, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm only upset that I couldn't watch or, better yet, join.”
That just makes me blush more.
Eric laughs at Trent. “Try to answer me, ignore his ass.”
“Electricity, warmth, like I was home, and I felt this pull followed by this melting sensation like he and I were meshing together,” I replied.
“Charming, I'm proud of you,” Eric says.
“I'm confused.”
Eric smiles as he touches my hand. “He gave you a bit of his soul. And you him.
You're bonded now.”
“Do Sirens do that?”
Eric shakes his head. “They can, but usually not.
Usually, only their mates make that sacrifice.”
I gasp. “Chase!”
Chase shakes his head as he smiles. “I regret nothing. I love you.”
“I love you too, but your soul…”
Chase replies. “My soul is fine. It's in the perfect hands now.”
“What happens if we all do that and she gives some of hers?” Trent asks.
Eric runs his hand through his hair. “I don't know.”
“No, no one is risking anything!”
Mike looks at me. “It is their choice and yours.
You may feel differently one day when they do offer.”
I chew on my lip. “Maybe.”
Trent grins. “Love, we are going shopping later.”
“Why?”
“You need more clothes, plus I'm dying to play dress-up,” he replies.
I just laugh. “Fine.”
Trent bounces in his seat and claps. “Yippie.” I just laugh more. He kisses my neck. “Go eat.”
I get up, and he smacks my ass. I just laugh as I go and sit down by Chase to eat. Mike made a huge breakfast, and I'm practically drooling looking at it. I eat two plates full of food and part of a third. Mike stopped at two. Everyone just looks at me. “What? I was hungry.”
Eric chuckles. “Looks like it.”
Trent smirks. “My love worked up an appetite after all.”
I facepalm. Chase pulls my hands away. “Emma, they are merely teasing. Plus, they're jealous.”
Trent sticks his tongue out. I laugh. Chase chuckles. “Come on, we need to go and meet Malcolm.”
