Keegan'' POV

"Lucas and I kissed," Shannon said then she turned her face immediately.

"You don't say? How did it feel?" I asked her fully invested in the story than the food before me.

Well, I was preggo hence I had to eat as much as my tummy could take.

"It was electric and I felt plenty of emotions but then again, I am just not sure if I would want to be with a werewolf" she explained.

"Why? You think they are evil people or what?" I asked her.

"No, not that I think they are evil, I just feel like I don't measure up to him and maybe he could just be playing around, he didn't even look at me twice after that" she explained and I seemed to understand what it was she was saying.

"But did you both talk about it after that?" I reasoned.

"No, we didn't immediately that happened I left and went to the guest room where I was shaken up and he didn't follow me or say anything the next morning when he came to the sitting room and I was watching television so I believe it was just a play for him" she explained.

"Don't feel that way, he most probably didn't know what to say too maybe he too feels awkward after you left" I tried to find a reason as to why he would not talk to her after something of that importance happened to them.

"You think the loves me?" Shannon asked.

"Well, he may live with you and hell he is your mate, but the only person who can tell you that should be him," I said.

"Mate? wait hold up, like me, I would be marked with his fangs and then what next?" she asked.

When she spoke of marking it dawned on me, Cruise had not yet marked me although he had said something about the marking ceremony.

Ahh, those canines into my skin I wonder how it would be, would it be painful or would it be normal?

"Just thread wisely," I said.

"But you have to be careful Shan, Alright "I advised her and she nodded.

"But Keegan how did you know about this, " she asked me referring to the moment when Lucas would come and meet her or something.

"I saw you guys hugging " I replied with a wink I had seen them hugging before the kiss so I just wanted her to tell me how close they had gotten that day.

"Keegan stop it, I'm out of here, "she said and ran up to answer her boss who had well given her the leverage to be with me after a little tip.

An ugly-looking big pot-bellied man I would say.

I could hear her daughter from me where she was going, she indeed knew what she was doing.

" Hey you, why are you seated alone?" Cruise hugged me from behind with a kiss.

"Oh, Shannon just went in to answer her boss" I replied.

"Oh hey Lucas" I greeted and he hissed immediately knowing my friend must have told me something.

"She told you didn't she?" he asked.

"Oh I wouldn't know what it is you are talking about," I said.

If there was anything I kike about Lucas he could be straight to the point with his feelings and he didn't need to beat around the bush to have to let you know something happened or if he was scared.

"She told you something" he insisted.

"She told me a lot of things so I don't know what exactly you are talking about" I responded.

"Okay, so I brought you some ice cream since you've been craving some lately" Cruise chimed in on us as it seemed we had forgotten he was standing by our side.

"Thank you booboo," I said and dug into it immediately.

"Hey Cruise you are here" Shannon went on to say then she turned to Lucas.

"Hello, you are welcome," she said and then turned to me with gooey eyes.

"We would be going now bestie, I have to rest my feet and waist," I said and then she looked at me pleadingly not to go but we had to give them space.

"I'll stay back I have to order something by the way," Lucas said looking at Shannon.

"Okay, that would be fine," Crusie said happily I think he knew something too so we both went into the car as I waved bye to Shannon,

The drive was silent because I was eating my ice cream. And he kept looking at me and smiling.

I kind of felt bad because it felt like I would know that he was trying his best to make me happy but my hormones didn't want us to be happy, I was always pissed by something he did or said.

I was trying my best and at this point, I was about to puke because of his cologne.

"Why did you wear that cologne?" I asked not looking at him.

"You said I should wear this one because you didn't like the other because it irritated you" he answered.

I was trying hard to choose my words.

"I don't like it, it stinks bad," I said.

Cruise looked defeated but if he felt bad he didn't show it much.

"I am sorry ill dispose of it'll take off my shirt now," he said and then took off his shirt and he was shirtless.

"Thank you," I said and turned to the window and continued with my ice cream his muscles and chest were tempting me.

We reached the condo and then he opened the door for me, our neighbour looked at us as though we were crazy because of him being shirtless but I didn't mind she was not my business but Cruise was.

"Be careful honey?" he said.

"I will be thank you" and that was it.

I got to the room and dropped my bag on the bed, Had a quick bath and changed into some normal clothes I was in heat like I was sweating profusely so I needed the air and the child water to my skin.

Cruise had gone into his study to check on something.

After doing all that I picked up my iPad and sent Shannon a quick message

"Guess what girl"I sent to her and I dropped my IPad on the bed waiting for her reply.

Two minutes later my iPad beeped and I picked it up she responded.

" Keegan, you know I hate guessing so spill the beans "Her reply made me chuckle because I just loved teasing her all the time with this guessing game.

" Well I just wanted to ask you how far you have gone with Lucas, it's been an hour and thirty minutes since we left you both how did it go?" I asked.

"I'm now officially Lucas'sgirlfriend" she texted back.

"Like for real," I asked and decided to call her instead of a back-and-forth texting.

"Hello, Shan?" I said

Yeah for real" was her response and she sounded ecstatic.

"So tell me how it all happened," I asked and she explained how he took her to a quiet place.

"He told me he was scared of getting hurt and stuff and h too had felt a connection but was scared if I would accept him and he also said his will wouldn't let him rest, it kept growling 'mate' and also he made me hear his wolf it was frightening yet beautiful Keegs" she explained and I could hear the happiness and sadness in her voice.

"OMG I'm so happy for you girl," I said.

"Finally, you have Lucas to yourself, "I told her and she laughed.

"Babe, are you done with your evening routine? Dinner is ready!

I heard Crusie say by the door.

" I've got to go," I said and she told me good night.

"Alright that's fine I would call you tomorrow," I said and rushed to hug Cruise at the door.

"You smell good baby," he said.

"Thank you, can we eat with my dad babe?" I asked and Cruise was more than willing to do so.

"Yes of course we can do that," he said and my dad was wheeled by the maid to the dinner table.

He had been healing slowly and I was excited and I was happy he was saved.

As we sat there eating he started making some movements with his fingers and I could tell he wanted to say something.

I called and a pen and paper were given to him because he had been showing me that he wanted to write.

"I am happy to see you happy and tell this fine man I am grateful he makes you happy, and I can't wait to see my grandchild" he struggled and wrote down.

I burst into crying I was emotional, so I rushed to his side and hugged him hard.

I was happy.
