Cruise's POV

When she calls I have to oblige, I had not wanted to go to this meeting and this was just the perfect t opportunity to leave and come home.

"Lucas you'd take care of the rest of this project if there is anything needed from me you know what to do alright," I said and he nodded.

"Take care of our Luna okay," he said and gave me a bro hug.

Immediately I got inside the house I met Keegan sitting down on a couch in the sitting room

"Babe, how are you" I rushed to her side and she rushed to me and hugged me so right I. would feel the fright in her.

"What happened baby girl?" I asked she was stuttering and shivering so I carried her to the bed I could tell she was appalled.

"I just want to sleep," she said and I just lay down by her giving her the comfort she wanted at the moment.

The remainder of the night went on smoothly but she was just laying down.

"Ouch," she said as she turned on the bed.

"What happened?" I asked confused at her pain and scream.

"No baby, the baby kicked and it was hard," she said with a smile and her eyes full of tears.

"Oh, can I hear him?" I asked and she just nodded.

When I put my ear to her stomach I felt the kick and I felt like I was a baby boy as I heard the kick of my pup.

"He would be a strong boy," I said.

"What makes you think it is a boy?" She asked crossing her hand under her breasts which turned me on but I just had to control myself for now.

We did our morning routine and then I had to rush back to Lucas because of the business deal needed for sure and even over the phone I could do anything.

"Please be careful," I said and she reciprocated and kissed me as I left she went to meet Shannon as I dropped her off at their favourite spot.

"So Are you and Shannon an item now," he asked

"Why would you ask that?" Lucas asked me.

I didn't say anything his reaction was unreadable. I was waiting for him to criticize or say something that would make me question him even more.

"Are you guys dating?" I asked once again.

"Something happened but I am not sure if it is official or not.

Slowly my face curved into a smile

"Tell me how it happened, man," I asked and he breathed out in relief

I sat down on the couch facing Lucas and narrated everything to me but skipped the kissing part.

Lucas was my Beta but I wanted him to have a life aside from the lack and if he had found a mate in Shannon I didn't see why he would be pulling back.

"Have you guys kissed yet? "I asked him with an arched brow

" Come on man no "he replied to me while avoiding making eye contact with her.

"Don't lie to me, Luke. "I said to him in a song form and I chuckled

"Okay Man we kissed but I didn't to el anything "he replied to me with a flushed face

I knew that he was lying but then again what was I supposed to do?

" Lucas you are lying if you have found a mate in Shannon Don't waste time please, we all have our lives to live aside from being Beta and Alpha, you need to have your pups and a life to live to the fullest," I said and he just sat there looking at me before he spoke.

"Since when did you become this manly man, this responsible family man Alpha, damn where did Crusie go to? The Cruise who didn't give a damn about anything at all but his business and not even a concern about the pack" he asked which caused me to laugh but then again I feel like he was right.

I had changed so much that I didn't know what to think do or say about this newfound Cruise but I could thank just Keegan for this man I had become.

"The women who are in our lives always have us do the right thing," I said and he just laughed.

"Let's focus on these documents in front of us would we before our investors pull out," he said changing the topic so I just stayed quiet laughing at how shy he was at the topic of a relationship.

"I'll be going to pick Keegan up after work so would you go with me so that you can be able to see Shannon?" I asked and he gave me the shut-up look I raised my hands and told him straight up that he would follow me to where I was going.

After two hours of working and drafting plans and whatnot, we were done.

I got up and made a call to Keegan.

"Hey baby," I said into the phone.

"Yes, are you done," she asked no beautiful name-calling.

"Mood swings?" I said a question I shouldn't have asked because I knew from the way she stopped the call my head was going to be flying at night because as a pregnant woman, the hormones were everywhere.

"Oh, shit, " I exclaimed and Lucas looked at me before he laughed.

"Woman problem?" he asked.

"Yes, I said something I should not have said" I replied to him.

"Reason, why I don't want to get involved with any woman, is that a lot of problems come with women.

" No, don't think of it like that, she is just having mood swings for the pup in her womb" I explained.

"Oh then you should have explained to me that way then," he said and went off to the car entering before me.

"I see that you wanted to see Shannon," I said and laughed while he pouted.
