Chapter 40: Aurora P.O.V
I was so excited ot get ready with the help of his mom btu I was also feeling really nervous. My mom always wanted me to try and wera make up but there was never anytime when it came to making sure that the hosue was taking care of and making sure that my little sister was taken care of. Most of the time I could convince my brother to help me take care of her when his Beta duties weren't sky high but even then I barely had the time to braid my hair and throw on some none work out clothes.
His mom was nothing like the mom I grew up, I know they were 'friends' at least thats what mom said but she was everythign I always hoped my mom would be. She is warm and endearing, teh second that levi left the rom I was expecting her to leave me to fend for myself but instead she turned on the bath and put a bunch of soaps in the water to make it all bubbly. It smelled like roses and everythign floral by the time she asked me to come into the bathroom, "Rory, why don't you test the water for me. i want to make sure you don't burn yourself when you get in?" His mom asked, smiling at me lightly. I nodded my head and put my palm towards the water, "It's perfect actually." I smiled back at her. She took her hands in mine and sat on the edge of the tub with me, "I know you are my sons mate but I really wnat us to be close rory." She said, it sounded more like a question than a statement. I nodded my head, "My mom was never really around or like this... I dont know what to do or say." I whispered, my voice was hoarse an dmy lips trembled.
The luna looked confused, "What do you mean Rory?" She asked, pulling me closer into her arms. I sniffled and tried to breathe in the sweet aromas surrounding me, " She was always angry and gone. I couldn't even tell you her favorite smell." I whsiepred, this is sad and embarassing that I feel so close to their mom mroe than my own very dead mother.
"Rory, I would love to help you." She smiled. I nodded my head, "I would love that." I smiled a big toothy grin and looked at the servants walking back and forth out of the room.
"Luna, what are all the servants in here for?" I asked, their constant pacing throwing me off. she laughed, "They don't know what to pick out for you. What do you think you want to wear?" She asked, moving a strand of hair out of my face.
" I was thinking a dress.. maybe blue?" I smiled, biting my lip. The luna nodded and smiled, "Good choice, can I wash your hair for you?" she asked and tears fell down my face. I had no plans of letting my emotions out so freely, "Rory, your okay." The luan cooed and I nodded my head.
I spent the rest of the time in the Luna's room being pampered more than I ever thought possible. The Luna had clsoed the door from the other servants and I undressed, hiding my body under the warmth of the colorful bubbles and the rose petals that danced around me, "This feels so godo." I sighed, letting my nerves relax. I felt so nervous, I was naked in front of my mate's moms and I know that she can see all three of her sons marks and one permanent mating mark. What does she think of me?
"Can I untie your hair now?" the luna asked, she is everything that a luna should be. Everythign that they deserved to have and i wasn't. Maybe my idea of her was focused, I grew up hearing all the amazing stories about he rhelping wolves regardless of what it costs her, the many ways that she decided to help the pack even if she had to get rid of her own clothes. On the other side all of her energy and movement with into being graceful and classy, she did it all effortlessly. The luna pulled my hair out of the bun I had pulled it into while she sat behing the tub, "Can you sit up for a few minutes, love?" The lun asked, sweetly. I sat up with my knee's to my chest in the middle of the tub, "Like this?" I replied, she just started humming some sweet lullaby.
She poured the luke warm water over my hair, blocking it from getting in my eyes and scrubed my scalp with some shampoo and laying the conditioner in my long strands, "Alright, there you go. Let it sit for a few minutes and then we can wash it out." She smiled, handing me a razor. I smiled, yeah okay real smooth.
After I finished shaving my legs, the luna came abck and helped me rinse out the rest of the conditioner and she gave me a bath robe to sit in while she did my hair. I was just planning to towel dry my hair and then put it in braid liek always but apparently when you are mated to not one but three alpha's the she-wolves of the world are at your whim. After I dried off my body the luna had me sit in front of a vanity where I saw three beautiful dresses laying on the Luna's bed, each of them were rich in design in a different way.
"I was thinking that we could blow dry your hair and we could curl your hair?" The luna suggested and I nodded my head. I've never actually had my hair curled but it sounds pretty. After the luan spent the next twenty minutes blow drying my hair she turned on the curling iron and we had to wait for a few minutes. All of a sudden my stomach growled and I got super embarassed, "I'm sorry!" I cried out, the luna laughed, "Can we get a fruit tray and some juice in here?" the luna asked one of the servants, they dispersed like the moon goddess herself had asked.
A few minutes later they came back with several plates of fruits dispersed on gold trays with a pitcher of orange juice, "Pick out what you like dear." The luna smiled, seperating my hair into sections and started to curl my hair. I looked over the plates before I asked the servant named penelope to give me a plate of the strawberries and peaches. Ten minutes later the Luna had finished my hair and pinned a few curls away from my face, "Which dress do you think you like?" the luna asked and when I turned around ten more dresses in all lengths were on the bed with various purses and shoes.
My eyes must have been huge because the servants giggled and all had rosy cheeks like I must have. I got up and ran my finger's over the fabrics until I landed on a dark navy blue dress with glitter. I looked at it one more time, "This should do the trick." I bit my lip and smiled. The luna laughed, "Your definitely Lucas and Levi's mate." She shook her head.I looked over the body con dress again, it was an off the shoulder dress with a small cut-out under my breasts.
The servants came back with a pair of matching blue heels and a pretty rose-gold necklace with a matching anklet, " I dont blame you dear. I would want to show off for my mate too if I looked that good.Go try it on." She smiled, I took off the robe. Earlier they handed me a strapless blue bra and dark blue thong, i guess someone predicted I would go with blue. I took the pretty dress off of the hanger and slid into it, it fit like a glove when I finally pulled everything into place and then I sat down and buckled the heels. I gave the necklace and anklet to penelope, "Do you think that you could help me with these?" I asked her, trying to give her a sweet reassuring smile. She nodded quickly and set the food down.
A few minutes later I was ready, "Thank you Luna, I was hoping I could ask you a question before I leave." I smiled, taking her hand in mine. I always wanted this kind of contact when I was younger. She nodded and sat down on the bed, "What is it dear?" She asked, concerned. I took in a deep breath, "Can my brother and sister move in here?" I let out, trying not to let my words sound rushed. She smiled, "They are already on their way. They just had to pack up some of your sister's stuff. She said she wanted to make sure you had your sketches."The luna smiled, and I let out a breath.
