Chapter 9 Chapter 9
Ty
Something was off.
The moment I calmed down I felt it.
No, that wasn’t right. I didn’t feel it.
I smelt it.
Sweet like candied fruit , sweat and a little dust and under it the taste of sex that coated the back of my tongue and forced my wolf’s body to move through the palace on huge paws.
The scent of sex wasn’t something new but the smell of sex under the tantalising smell of a human woman was.
Eirian had brought another human here. Another attempt to break our curse and like all of the others it would end badly.
Grumbling to myself I followed the scent.
So that’s where my twin had gone. To the humans. To bring us another woman.
It was useless. None of them were right. They never would be and the only girl who might fit the bill I had kept from him.
He couldn’t know about her because even in my crazed state I had known she was different.
She was good and I didn’t want her anywhere near-
I inhaled sharply and my head snapped around. My lips drew back from my curved teeth and a growl vibrated the walls around me.
I knew that smell. I dreamt about it.
Had my brother-
Panic slammed into me, causing my heart to beat so fast that it threatened to pound its way out of my chest.
He wouldn’t have brought her here?
Would he?
But there could be no mistake. She was here. And now I could sense her, it was like she was everywhere all at once.
My paws pounded on the floor as I flew down the corridors and stairs at breakneck speed and my staff scuttled out of the way.
Which was completely normal. They didn’t approach me. They knew my rages were unpredictable.
Last night alone I had wrecked one entire wing for no reason but that my brother had gone somewhere without telling me.
Now I knew where he had gone.
He had gone to collect the one person I never wanted here.
Taking a right I moved into the long dark hallway that houses the bathing rooms and slowed.
She was here.
Creeping forward, I lowered my nose and sniffed. Following her scent until I found the right door.
Pushing it open I stepped forward, the steam hiding me from her view but giving me an unobstructed view of her as she slipped naked into the sunken tub which was big enough for six.
I had three seconds to marvel at her beauty. At the soft curve of her hips and the fullness of her breasts and-
I whined as I caught my first glimpse of the soft dark curls between her legs.
The sound carried and startled she lifted her eyes to find me staring at her.
Clutching at her throat , she scuttled up and out of the water. Her feet working to push her across the cobblestone.
I’d watched her for years, a hunter stalking its prey but she had never been this close and she had never been naked.
Launching myself across the pool, I hit the other side with barely a thud and stalked towards her and a growl fell from my lips.
Instantly Sloane froze. Her body went completely still except for her eyes. She studied me quickly, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she watched me prowl towards her.
She really was here. Eirian had brought her here even though I had said never to do that.
He had gone against everything I had said and brought her here and what was more she smelt like-
I thrust my nose into her lower stomach and she fell on to her back with a small scream.
Not that I blamed her for that. My teeth would gut her in seconds.
It wasn’t her, I was going to rip apart though. It was my brother. He had touched her. I could smell his hands on her skin and under all the fear and stench of poverty I was sure I could smell her arousal.
Had they fucked?
Had he-
“Tywyll?”
I reeled backwards. I’d heard Sloanes voice before but I had never heard it form my name.
She made it sound musical.
I sniffed up her body, right between her breasts until we were face to face.
This close she was even more beautiful. I wasn’t sure how that was possible but it was true.
“That’s your name isn’t it?” She carried on in her singsong voice. “That’s what Eirian said and I’ve seen you before. You’re the one who has been watching me.”
I pressed my nose into her hair, inhaling her.
“Eirian said-“
I growled again and she fell silent. Her breasts were rising and falling so heavily that her nipples skimmed across my chest.
My fur, rippled. Disappearing into a body that was suddenly all man but I didn’t move away from her. Instead I pressed my weight down into her.
All of my hardness against her softness.
“Please don’t-“
The words had barely left her mouth before I was on my feet and I’d swung her up into my arms.
“Do not mention my brother to me Sloane.” Completely naked I headed back the way I had come. “In fact it will be safest for everyone if you don’t talk at all.”
She fell silent. Chewing on her lip as she searched my face with her saucer round eyes.
She shouldn’t be here , Eirian had made a huge mistake and I would deal with that soon.
In fact I would deal with Eirian one way or another because I was fed up with him bringing me girls. They were never the ones to break the curse and I ended up -
A single tear slid down Sloane's cheek and I paused to stare at it.
My head cocked to the side. “Why are you crying?”
“I’m afraid. Your brother-“
“I told you not to-“ roaring. I smashed open the heavy wooden door with such force that it splintered. “Do not mention his name. I can smell him all over you, I can-“
I could feel the madness sweeping over me. Like a tidal wave but this time it wasn’t just a white hot rage.
There was just and need mixed in with it.
After years of watching her from afar. She was finally in my arms and she was naked.
But she had been in his arms first and I hated that.
“Did you let him screw you?”
She did a double take , almost like I had slapped her. “How dare you. What kind of woman do you think I am, I am-“
I let my eyes trail down her face to linger on her small round tits. “A beautiful one. I don’t smell any lie on you Sloane and it’s the only thing keeping you alive right now. But I can also smell his hands on you. He touched you and you enjoyed it.”
“I was kidnapped from my home. Forced to leave my baby brother. I do not want-“
“You don’t want my brother?” Heading towards the corner, I pulled back a curtain and showed her the cage. Thick metal bars , nothing on the floor but a ragged blanket.
It was what I used when the rage got too much and I was a danger to myself but it would do to keep her safe.
Dropping her to her feet I pointed to it. “Get in.”
“Please.”
She sounded good when she begged.
“Get in. Do not make me repeat myself.” I growled.
She scampered toward, and inside. Moving to the furthest corner and covering herself with the blanket.
“That’s better. You will stay there until I work out what to do with you.” Turning I headed back towards the door. I wanted to find Eirian.
No, I needed to find my brother.
“Please don’t-“
Ignoring her I locked my bedroom door and went after my brother.
