Chapter 519 One Hour
Chapter 519 One Hour
"Clumsy, hold it properly."
Myron shoved the milk cup into Luann's hand, his gaze returning to the lit-up computer screen as he continued handling his work.
Luann blinked in confusion.
She couldn't believe it.
She had never used such a little trick before, and to think it failed on her first try.
For a moment, Luann didn't know whether to be angry or anxious.
"Anything else?"
Myron raised his cool eyebrows, his tone unusually distant and cold.
"If not, please leave."
Myron was actually issuing an eviction order.
His long fingers rested on the mouse, clicking it.
He seemed to be getting busy.
Luann's eyelid twitched violently.
Oh no.
She had never seen Myron this angry before!
It seemed she really needed to coax him well.
Luann placed the milk cup on the table with a thud, twisting her waist as if trying to squeeze out a space between the table and Myron.
However, Myron's figure remained motionless.
Like a rock standing there.
Luann's efforts were futile.
Myron stared at her unblinkingly, as if wanting to know what she was up to.
This time, Luann was truly anxious.
She directly lifted her long leg, sweeping it over Myron's upright posture.
Then, she straddled him.
Her arm naturally draped over his shoulder.
She raised her chin slightly, with a hint of pride and provocation.
Myron cooperatively said, "Hmm, you're really something."
Luann bit her lip, pinching his cheeks with both hands and pulling them to the side.
"Petty, you don't have to be so narrow-minded. I just said a few things you didn't like, didn't I?"
Myron's smile was faint, his large hand on the armrest slightly curling his fingers.
Only he knew how hard he was gripping the armrest.
Afraid that if he let go, he wouldn't be able to resist wrapping his arms around Luann's slender waist.
"Are you sure it was just a few things?"
Myron squinted his beautiful dark eyes, a dangerous glint flashing in their depths.
He was already extraordinarily handsome, and this expression made his features even more striking, with a touch of mischief.
Luann coughed awkwardly.
"Dozens of things."
Myron snorted coldly.
"Honey." Luann hesitated to speak, the words of coquetry stuck in her throat.
She seemed like a deflated balloon, her whole body softening, her chin resting on Myron's shoulder.
Her voice, soft and sweet, was even softer than a teddy bear from a toy store.
"Please don't be mad at me."
"I really know I was wrong."
Myron's Adam's apple bobbed violently.
After waiting for a long time, there was no response from Myron.
Luann felt a bit embarrassed.
"I think you're the one who doesn't appreciate what you have."
"When did you ever dare to be this mad at me before?"
"Now, no matter what I say, I can't make you happy."
She complained bitterly in his ear.
"Fine, I'll leave. Is that what you want?"
Luann made a move to get up.
The next second, her waist was held tight.
Luann felt a small sense of joy.
This man who says one thing but means another!
But just then, an untimely voice sounded in the room.
"Mr. Curtis, since you're busy, let's postpone our meeting by half an hour."
Luann's body stiffened, turning back in surprise.
She saw that Myron's computer screen had somehow connected to a video call.
And the camera was perfectly aimed at the two of them, capturing everything that had just happened.
Luann's beautiful almond eyes widened.
Myron's deep, magnetic voice sounded in her ear, "Let's postpone it by an hour."
As soon as the call ended, Luann was a bit frantic.
"Myron! When did you start the video?"
Myron's expression was calm, unhurried.
"Just when you were trying to squeeze over."
Luann, exasperated, grabbed his collar, "Why didn't you tell me! Why! Are you mute?"
Her image!
"Myron! You're really too bad!" Luann was on the verge of tears.
"Thanks for the compliment." Myron seemed to enjoy it.
Luann gritted her teeth, trying to get up, but she couldn't stand up no matter what.
"Don't expect me to apologize to you again!" Luann's cheeks puffed up in anger, looking particularly cute.
Myron gently tucked her stray hair behind her ear.
"Okay, I forgive you."
Luann let out a sound of surprise.
Happiness came so suddenly?
Actually, Myron wasn't mad at Luann at all, but at himself.
He was angry at how bad his cooking was.
He had made Luann suffer for so long.
When she ate those things, she must have felt terrible.
But to save his face, she could only smile and say it was great, just to encourage him.
"That's more like it." Luann breathed a sigh of relief, not expecting Myron to be so easy to coax.
"Then you continue with your meeting, I won't disturb you!"
However, Myron's gaze suddenly darkened.
Those eyes were like the calm before a storm.
The two of them were cheek to cheek.
Myron's smiling voice was like the best emotional catalyst, making one unable to resist sinking into it: "Although I forgive you, you still owe me a little compensation."
"Don't worry, we have a whole hour, plenty of time."
Luann's mind buzzed.
Her face instantly turned red!
She belatedly realized Myron's true purpose for postponing the meeting.
He was waiting for her!
Myron lifted Luann in that position and walked towards the sofa.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the video call, far away in another country.
In an office filled with company executives.
They couldn't help but gossip.
"Didn't expect Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Curtis to have such a good relationship."
"Yeah, Mrs. Curtis was just making Mr. Curtis happy, it's really enviable. My wife and I argue every day, and it takes hours to make up, it's such a headache!"
"If you looked as handsome as Mr. Curtis, your wife wouldn't want to argue with you."
"That's true."
An hour later.
Myron carried the exhausted, sleeping Luann back to the bedroom, then returned to his computer.
The soft warmth he showed only to Luann was hidden away, leaving only coldness and seriousness.
The video conference reconnected.
Myron coldly said, "Let's begin."
