Chapter 520: Little Devil
The next afternoon.
Luann returned to the old house with Myron.
Naturally, some people were not to be seen.
Only Joshua and Emma from Lily's family came.
"Luann, you're really something! Hahaha!" Watson couldn't stop praising Luann as soon as he saw her, his mouth full of compliments, "I knew someone must be guiding you. The first time I saw you, I thought you couldn't possibly be from the countryside."
Watson seemed genuinely happy, his crow's feet deepening with his smile.
Charles's praise was much simpler.
But it hit the mark.
"Not bad."
"You have the demeanor of your mother back in the day."
Back then, Shirley, the most famous socialite on the Upper West Side, was naturally skilled in all the arts and was a true talent.
Zoey smiled slightly, genuinely happy for Luann.
Although Shirley died young, her daughter had a good life.
Luann smiled slightly.
But when she heard her mother Shirley's name, she couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in her heart.
Emma quickly ran down the stairs, rushed to Luann's side, hugged her arm, and then started taking pictures with her phone.
"Hahaha! I've worked with the Millers' young lady too!"
Everyone couldn't help but laugh.
Vito said, "Your big brother is the boss of RH, why don't you take a picture with him?"
Emma shook her head, looking very mature for her age.
"Grandpa, you don't understand. The person standing next to Myron should be Luann, not me!"
Vito picked up his cane and couldn't help but lightly tap Emma on the head.
Emma knew Vito had been particularly happy lately.
Because several times when she came down, she heard Vito humming songs.
So she wasn't afraid to retort.
"I like it, I like it, don't worry about it."
Vito indeed didn't get angry.
Luann looked around.
She finally noticed something was off.
Usually, she had two fans in the Curtis family, but today there was only one female fan and no male fan?
"Where's Alvin?" Luann asked.
Emma shrugged lightly, "I haven't seen him for days, probably off somewhere messing around again!"
Zoey: "Exactly, don't worry about him, just pretend he doesn't exist."
Luann was silent.
Is he really their own?
While everyone was chatting, Luann took a moment to call Alvin, but as before, she couldn't reach him.
This wasn't the first time it had happened.
But why wasn't Alvin even replying to her messages this time?
Even if he was out having fun, he wouldn't ignore his phone, right?
Luann felt something was off.
"What's wrong?"
A gentle voice sounded from behind.
Her petite body was enveloped by Myron.
Luann leaned into Myron's embrace and raised her phone.
"A bit worried about Alvin."
Myron's expression was indifferent, even a bit jealous of Luann's concern.
But he didn't show it.
"Don't worry, Alvin is very smart, nothing will happen to him."
Luann doubted this.
"Is he smart?"
Myron thought for a moment, his gaze falling on Luann's slightly dry lips, and handed her a glass of water.
"He's not very smart at work, but when it comes to having fun, he's never been afraid of anyone."
Luann looked skeptical, "Really? He seems pretty well-behaved to me."
"Well-behaved?" Myron snorted, "Do you think he got the nickname 'Little Devil' for nothing? He's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve. You can't even guess what he'll do next."
Luann became interested and took a sip of water.
"For example?"
"When Alvin was eight, Joshua tricked him with a thousand dollars to wear crotchless pants at a birthday party," Myron said quietly.
Luann burst out laughing.
If she hadn't stopped herself, she might have sprayed water all over Myron.
"Did Alvin really wear them?"
Myron nodded, "He did, and then got photographed. It was the top trending topic on the Upper West Side for a week."
Luann laughed out loud, "And then?"
"About two years later, on Joshua's birthday, Alvin secretly tore his pants," Myron recalled the beautiful scene.
The tall, lanky teenager, playing games with friends at the birthday party, suddenly had a big hole in his pants, revealing his eye-catching underwear.
It was quite a sight.
Luann was stunned, "Alvin can really hold a grudge? Two years?"
Myron nodded, "There are many similar stories, so you really don't need to worry about him."
Luann sighed in relief but still felt a bit uneasy.
"But I'm still afraid someone might bully him."
Myron raised an eyebrow, "He's always the one doing the bullying!"
And far away, Alvin didn't disappoint Myron.
At this moment, he was squatting on the ground, precisely measuring the trap he had just set up.
Emily stood beside him, full of confusion and curiosity, watching his every move.
Alvin clapped his hands, dust flying from his palms.
"Okay!"
He stood up, his legs a bit wobbly.
After squatting intermittently for two hours, he was really feeling it!
Seeing Emily's puzzled look, Alvin patiently explained, "I haven't been idle these past few days. I've been observing those guys' movements. I found out they don't always act together, so we can take them down one by one and teach them a lesson! Let them know I didn't get beaten up for nothing!"
Emily's expression changed, and she shook her head vigorously, gesturing.
Although Alvin couldn't understand, he could guess.
Emily definitely didn't want him to take such a risk. If the plan failed, he might get beaten up again.
"Don't worry, I'm not that easy to bully." Alvin pulled Emily to hide in a corner.
By now, the sky was already bright.
This rarely traveled, rugged alley was particularly quiet.
After a long time, the sound of slippers scraping the ground finally echoed.
