Chapter 510 Embarrassing Scene

Chapter 510 Embarrassing Scene

Holly sniffled, her little face scrunched up.

She was half-sitting with a thin blanket over her, the whole small room warm and cozy with the air conditioning on full blast.

Eddy heard the noise and groggily opened his eyes.

“What’s wrong? Did you catch a cold?”

Holly shook her head and got out of bed.

Her legs went weak, and she almost fell.

“Are you okay?” Eddy quickly jumped down and supported her.

Holly hurriedly looked away, “You should get back under the covers!”

Eddy had a mischievous smile on his lips, his alluring eyes slightly narrowed, exuding a teasing aura.

“What, are you shy now?”

“It’s not like it’s the first time we’ve been so open…”

Holly suddenly covered his mouth, “I’m going to wash up first, you get some more sleep!”

In the bathroom, Holly looked in the mirror and found that her neck was covered in marks!

“Oh no, if Adolph sees this, he’ll definitely make fun of me!”

Holly hurriedly rummaged through her things and found a black turtleneck to wear.

After getting ready, she went downstairs with Eddy.

“Morning!”

Holly’s walking was a bit awkward, and she was holding onto the railing.

Luann, Myron, and Adolph all turned their gazes towards her.

Holly paused, feeling a bit embarrassed.

“You’ve all started eating already.”

Why was she panicking?

Adolph had said the house had excellent soundproofing.

They sat across from Luann and Myron.

“You’re here,” Myron said to Eddy calmly.

Eddy nodded, “Yeah.”

The atmosphere at the dining table was a bit gloomy.

Holly tried to start a conversation.

“Hey Luann, why do you look so tired? Didn’t sleep well last night?” she teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Luann paused while drinking her porridge, the spoon clinking against the bowl.

“I went to bed pretty early last night.”

“But I couldn’t sleep in the second half of the night.”

Holly’s heart skipped a beat.

Since the topic was already out, she had to continue.

“Insomnia?”

Before Luann could respond, Adolph chimed in, “It’s because you two were making too much noise too late.”

Holly’s eyes widened, her voice suddenly rising.

“Didn’t you say the soundproofing was good? You lied to me again!”

This was so embarrassing!

So awkward!

Adolph pushed up his glasses, a dark light under the lenses, “You believed me?”

“You!”

Just as they were about to argue, footsteps came from the stairs.

Holly and Adolph instantly fell silent.

Soon, Jones came down.

He had dark circles under his eyes, clearly having stayed up all night.

Jones glanced around at everyone present.

Eddy immediately stood up and bowed slightly, “Good morning, Jones.”

Seeing Holly holding Eddy’s hand, Jones understood their relationship.

But in this house, except for Luann, he didn’t care who was with whom.

“Sit down, everyone, eat.”

Jones said, sitting at the head of the table.

The Miller family was still the Miller family.

The seating was still the same.

But for some reason, Jones felt something was off.

Especially with Myron sitting to his right.

This meal was not enjoyable!

So, Jones finished his breakfast as quickly as possible and left decisively.

After breakfast, a few people huddled on the couch, discussing what to have for lunch.

Myron said to Adolph, “Why don’t you teach me how to cook?”

Adolph nodded, “Sure! My roast chicken and beef stew are the best, Luann loves them! If you can learn my skills, Luann won’t have to keep asking me to cook!”

The servants exchanged silent glances.

When did Luann ever ask him to cook?

It was clearly Adolph who kept asking Luann to taste his cooking!

“To make these dishes, you need fresh ingredients,” Adolph said, stroking his chin, “Myron, get ready and come with me to buy the ingredients!”

Myron asked in confusion, “Are we buying a cow?”

Adolph was stunned, “Why would we buy a cow?”

“You said we need fresh ingredients?”

Adolph almost spat out his drink, “No, no, that’s too much. We just need non-frozen beef.”

“Okay.”

Holly and Eddy watched them discuss, happily munching on chips.

Adolph noticed their gaze and couldn’t help but ask, “Eddy, aren’t you going to join us? This is a rare opportunity! My personal teaching isn’t always available.”

Holly opened another bag of chips.

“I think takeout is pretty good.”

Eddy frowned, “We have a chef at home.”

Adolph said seriously, “Food made by a chef doesn’t have the soul of food made by your loved one. It tastes better when you make it yourself.”

Holly blinked.

“Ask Luann if it’s good?”

Luann didn’t expect to be asked.

For someone who can’t cook, learning to be a chef from scratch is tough, but as the one tasting the food, it’s not without its challenges.

Adolph suddenly remembered Myron’s cooking from a while ago.

Forget it.

Some things are better left unmentioned.

Luann avoided answering, “You two should hurry up, or we won’t have lunch on time.”

After all, teaching someone to cook takes more time than doing it yourself.

Fortunately, they were quick and returned in an hour.

In the kitchen, the sound of their discussion could be heard.

Holly sighed.

“Luann, you really have it tough.”

Who would have thought that Myron, who was good at everything, would have a weakness in cooking?

He had been learning for months, but his cooking skills hadn’t improved much.

They were busy in the kitchen for hours.

Finally, the food was ready.

The kitchen was a mess, looking like a battlefield.

There were only four dishes: two roast chickens and two beef stews.

The ones on the left were perfect in color, aroma, and taste, clearly made by Adolph.

The beef stew on the right was black and burnt, sticky and unrecognizable.

The roast chicken was barely passable, but it was clearly overcooked, probably tough and dry.

Holly swallowed.

Commenting.

“They’re not identical at all, they’re completely unrelated.”
