Chapter 132 – Willow
As soon as Ogden put the ring on my finger he dropped to his knees and started to rub my stomach. I let him do this for a few minutes. The relief that I felt was beyond anything that I could imagine. I was so nervous to tell him about little nugget and how he was going to respond.
He leaned his head against my stomach. I know he just found out about this, but I wasn’t expecting this reaction. I knew that he was adjusting to the new information that I was sharing with him. I tangled my fingers in his hair. I wished I could have taken a picture right now. It would have been a memory that I would look back on fondly.
My stomach growled. “I guess I’m hungrier than I thought.” I chuckled.
Within a second, Ogden was standing in front of me and then pulled me to the couch. He quickly grabbed the bag of food from the coffee table and started to unwrap a burger. “Here, eat.” He sat down next to me and watched me expectantly. “Did you need anything else?”
I held the burger in my hand and was just watching him. “Are you going to be like this the entire time?”
He furrowed his eyebrows at me. “Like what?”
“Overprotective and kinda like a mother hen?” I let out a laugh before taking a bite of the hamburger.
“Probably.” He gave a shrug and then laughed. “I need to make sure that my soon to be actual wife and mother of my child is okay.”
I snorted at him. “I just found out that I’m pregnant, I’m not fragile I can take care of myself. I don’t need you being distracted during your meetings.” I pointed at the burger. “This is amazing.”
“Yes, I am going to be distracted because you will keep things from me in an attempt to let me work.” He cocked an eyebrow at me. “Which will only worry me more.”
“You have been doing so much for me as it is. And you always had to move or cancel your meetings because of the random shit that has been happening in my life. I don’t want little nugget to be another distraction.” I put a hand to my stomach.
“Little nugget?” He smirked at me.
“Just a name for him while he is brewing.” I smiled back.
“You think it’s a boy?”
“I don’t know, I just have a weird feeling. But either way, I’m over the moon that I’m going to have a baby.” I said and then took another bite.
Ogden smiled at me. “I am happy too.” He took a thumb and wiped away some ketchup that was on my lips. “Now we have to plan a real wedding.”
“We don’t have to have a real wedding. We are already married.” I looked down at the beautiful ring. “Did Sophia help you pick it out?”
“Yes, she pretty much designed it in two seconds flat. I only made a slight change on how big the diamond was. I wanted it to be bigger but refrained.” He chuckled. “And I am going to give you the wedding of your dreams. The wedding at the courthouse that we had wasn’t anywhere near what you were expecting when you really got married. And I want you to have the perfect wedding.”
“It is just a lot of money and you already have spent so much on me, my mom and now Lucy’s brother. Not to mention the pool.” I pointed my thumb over my shoulder to the half-constructed pool.
“Yeah and now, we are going to plan the wedding of your dreams.” He furrowed his eyebrow at me. “No arguing.”
I smirked at him. I leaned forward and gave him a kiss. It was nice to feel like I could show him affection without worrying that our marriage was just a contract. This was everything that I ever wanted, and it really came true.
Something hit me. “Can I ask you something?” I took another bite and waited for his response.
“Of course, you can ask me anything.”
“What does the tattoo on your chest mean?” I popped a fry into my mouth. Now that I was actually marrying him, I needed to know if that date was for another woman.
He smirked at me. “You really don’t know?”
I shook my head at him. “Should I know?” I have spent endless hours thinking about that number and how it was intertwined in everything in his life. His chest, door code, and I’m sure it was used for other things as well.
“I thought you figured it out.” He let out a chuckle. “It was the date that I first saw you at school. It was the first day of school. I got that tattoo when I thought I never would see you again and I wanted that memory to last.”
I dropped my hands to my lap in shock; the burger almost fell out of my hand but I tightened the grip. “Really?”
“Yes, really. What did you think it was about?”
I looked away from him, embarrassed, and bit my lip. “I thought…I thought it was someone’s birthdate or something.”
“Would this someone be another woman?” The smirk started to grow into a full-on smile.
I nudged him with my elbow. “Shut up.” I took the last bite of my burger.
“It is cute when you get jealous.” He pulled me into his side and wrapped his arms around me. “This is the best day of my life.”
“I’m glad you said that because this is the best day of my life as well.” I leaned my head against his chest. “Are you going to wear this tuxedo all night?”
“I could if you like it.” He chuckled.
“I mean, you are hot, but I prefer you in your boxer briefs and nothing else.” I bit my lip again. I was able to confess everything that I had thought about him. He was hot and I didn’t’ have to hide my attraction to him.
“You think I’m hot?” He raised an eyebrow and gave me a smirk.
I elbowed his side. “You know you are…don’t even try to deny it.”
“Okay, okay.” He pulled his arm from around me and stood. “Your wish is my command.” He went upstairs to go change.
I pulled out my phone and video called Sophia. I was smiling at the phone while I waited for her to pick up. When she did, she didn’t say anything she just stared. “Soph?”
“I’m just trying to read your expression.” She pursed her lips at me.
“Well…” I held up my hand with the ring on it. “I said yes.”
Sophia screamed and I dropped the phone. “Yes, yes, yes!!!! We are going to be really related.”
I picked up the phone and started to laugh at my best friend. “Yeah and he is adamant that we plan the wedding of my dreams.”
“You’re going to like it, fiancé!” Ogden said as he walked down the stairs in nothing but his boxer briefs.
I scowled at him as he came to stand behind me to see Sophia.
“Just go with it, Will. We can plan the best wedding of the century!” Sophia said to me. “Good job, cousin. Will…did you tell him?”
I knew exactly what she was asking. “Yes, he knows about little nugget.”
“And?”
I looked up at Ogden and he was beaming. “I am beyond ecstatic.” He chuckled at Sophia as she screamed again.
“Okay, when do you want the wedding?” Sophia asked.
“I haven’t even thought about that yet.”
“Do you want to do it before you pop?” Sophia pulled the phone away and faked a pregnant belly.
“Yeah, I would like to really get married before little nugget arrives.” I bit my lip. “When do women start to show?” I knew that for some random reason Sophia knew a lot about pregnancy and I would need to figure that out.”
“Everyone is different, but usually around the fourth month.” She said as she tapped her chin. “So we need to plan it soon.”
I looked up at Ogden. “In a month?”
“We can make it happen.” He gave me a smile.
“Sweet!” Sophia yelled. “We have a lot of work to do, and I am expecting to be your maid of honor. Right?” Her face became serious as she stared at me.
“You know you are.” I laughed. “Buckle up, Sophia. I’m going to be a raging bridezilla.”
She snorted at me. “Girl, you are a teddy bear. I’m the one that is going to be the maid of honorzilla.”
I took a deep breath. “We are going to get married in a month.” I looked at Ogden and he was reflecting my smile. I was going to be living the life that I have always wanted. And I couldn’t ask for anything more.
