Chapter 81 Willie Is Kicked Out of the Restaurant
"Yes, our company held a celebration lottery last week, and I won this," Steven said without batting an eye.
"That's pretty nice." Nora looked at the coupons. "One set meal is enough for both of us. Let's use one today and save the other for next time."
"Okay." Steven's eyes gleamed with amusement as he led her inside.
"Hello..." The manager stood at the entrance, greeting customers. When he saw Steven and Nora, he was about to say they couldn't enter without a reservation.
Nora pulled out a coupon. "Hello, can we use this coupon now?"
The manager took the coupon, glanced at Steven, and his expression changed dramatically.
He had received a call that afternoon saying the BOSS would be coming for dinner with a coupon tonight, and everyone must not show any surprised reactions.
Stay calm!
The manager took off his glasses, took a deep breath, swallowed all those complimentary words, and said calmly to Steven: "Sir, miss, this way please..."
The manager led them to a private room and personally attended to them, pouring coffee one moment and bringing fruit the next.
Nora felt a bit embarrassed. She had only mentioned that the coffee tasted pretty good, and the manager immediately had someone pack two boxes, respectfully presenting them to Nora. "Guest, these two boxes of coffee beans are for you."
Nora was stunned. She whispered to Steven, "The service here is incredible! A $99 set meal and they're pouring us coffee, giving us fruit, and now coffee beans too!"
Can they really make money doing this? Nora seriously doubted it.
Steven chuckled and said, "Maybe that's just how the service is here."
As he spoke, he shot the manager a cold look.
The manager felt the murderous intent in the BOSS's eyes and immediately didn't dare serve them anymore. He quickly ran out, brought the dishes, and didn't dare disturb them again.
The $99 set meal had a full 8 dishes, all famous seafood dishes!
Nora's eyes widened in shock. "Just this king crab alone must cost quite a bit, right? How can this set meal only be $99?"
This is totally abnormal!
Steven smiled and said, "Maybe it's just a promotion, or it's the internal price our company negotiated."
"It must be your company's internal price." Otherwise, it couldn't possibly be this cheap.
Nora was having the time of her life eating.
All delicious dishes. She mumbled, "I should have called Olivia too. Eight dishes, the two of us can't possibly finish all this."
"Even if it's good, don't stuff yourself." Steven watched her gobble down food, a bit worried about her stomach.
"It's fine!" Nora smiled happily, eating and eating, and soon she was stuffed.
She burped. "I'm so full. I'm going to the restroom."
Nora walked out and asked a staff member where the ladies' room was. On her way back, she ran into Hazel in the hallway.
"Nora?" Hazel said coldly. "What are you doing here?"
Hazel was dressed very beautifully tonight, clearly here to entertain someone.
A dark gleam flashed in Nora's eyes as she looked Hazel up and down.
In the past, if Nora had looked at Hazel like this, Hazel would have been scared already.
But today she lifted her chin and said arrogantly, "Nora, are you being kept by someone? Recently, with diamond jewelry and eating at such nice restaurants, your family doesn't seem like they have those kinds of means."
Nora smiled instead of getting angry. "I can't say for sure if I'm being kept by someone, but you, you're definitely already being kept by someone."
Hazel's face changed. She walked over close to Nora and said, "So what if I'm being kept? It's better than being a frumpy housewife at home with no one paying attention to you."
These words were clearly aimed at Olivia.
Nora's gaze turned cold, and she smirked. "What's there to be proud of about being a mistress? If the legal wife takes up legal weapons, the mistress has to give everything back, yet here you are thinking you got a great deal, feeling so smug."
Hazel glared at Nora and snorted. "I'm afraid the legal wife won't be smug for much longer."
By then, she would be the real Mrs. Reed!
Nora glanced at her. "You just enjoy feeling smug for now. Just don't cry later."
Hazel's face darkened.
Nora walked away.
Hazel hated the Adams family, Nora's sisters to her bones, but somehow, she felt like Nora had seen right through her.
Could she already know about her and Willie...
Hazel shook her head. Impossible. If she knew, there would have been a scene already.
After walking a few steps, Nora saw Steven standing at the end of the hallway. His light-colored eyes were watching them, as if watching a show.
His wife, Nora, was pretty good at arguing.
Nora could tell from his expression that he had heard everything. She made a shushing gesture at him, then turned around and followed Hazel.
Hazel returned to her private room.
Nora followed and saw Willie sitting inside with a foreigner, ordering food.
Sure enough, she was here entertaining clients with Willie.
Usuall,y Willie would bring Olivia to these business dinners, but today, he brought Hazel!
When a man cheats, his heart drifts away.
Nora was furious watching this.
She returned to her private room and sat in her chair, frowning, looking irritated.
"What's wrong?" Steven asked.
Nora said irritably: "Willie, he brought his mistress out to entertain clients."
"You're very unhappy?"
"Of course I'm unhappy! I really want to kick them out! Just seeing them makes me sick!" Nora had wanted to come back and have some soup, but after seeing those two, she felt too disgusted to eat.
"What's so hard about that?" Steven picked up his phone and sent a message.
Nora thought he was just bragging, but his saying this still made her smile. "You think saying that is funny?"
Steven fell silent.
He was telling the truth, okay?
The manager received Steven's message and went over with his staff to clear them out. "I'm sorry, our restaurant won't be serving you three today."
Willie's face changed, looking rather unpleasant. "What do you mean? We reserved this table a day in advance. How can you just not serve us?"
"Our boss doesn't like the look of you two." The manager smiled as he directly confronted them.
"What do you mean? Are you deliberately targeting us?" Willie's face darkened.
The manager maintained his smile. "That's right."
Willie: "You can't do this. I can file a complaint."
"Please do." The manager even gave him the complaint number, welcoming him to complain anytime.
Willie saw that the other party wasn't afraid at all and felt hesitant. He asked one more question: "Who is your boss?"
"The second son of the York family." The manager answered proudly.
Willie gasped.
The second son of the York family?
Was the new CEO about to take office at York Development Group?
"How could that be?" Willie didn't believe it. "He has business dealings with our company. Is there some misunderstanding?"
The York family was indeed someone he couldn't afford to offend.
