Chapter 61 Andrew's Visit
"Did you register the company as I asked you to?" Steven asked her casually.
"Yes, I'm waiting for the agency to handle it. They said they'll let me know when they need me," Nora replied.
Steven somehow felt that Nora had become much colder, not as warm as before.
He pressed his lips together and walked to the dining table, where breakfast was already prepared.
Next to it was a cup of black coffee.
Steven picked it up and took a sip. It wasn't the Geisha coffee he had given her.
Didn't she use it?
Steven's mood inexplicably grew heavier.
What exactly did Nora mean by this?
He felt irritated, but his pride wouldn't allow him to ask. In his mind, Nora was supposed to look up to him.
He had gotten used to her adoring, chasing attitude. Now that she was suddenly indifferent, Steven felt very uncomfortable.
He ate with a cold expression, and Nora still didn't come over.
Steven's whole presence became gloomy, and he said coldly, "Aren't you coming to eat breakfast?"
Nora flipped through her book and responded indifferently, "You go ahead. I'm not hungry yet."
Steven's face looked frozen solid.
His gaze fixed coldly on her.
Over on the sofa, everything looked peaceful and calm. She read her book and even picked up her coffee, taking a leisurely sip.
That profile of hers looked so content that it was irritating!
When Steven left the apartment, he slammed the door so hard it shook.
Nora jumped, startled. Looking over, the door was tightly closed, Steven had already left.
Her brows lowered as she took a sip of coffee. The smooth taste somehow turned into bitter sourness...
Actually, she wasn't in a great mood either, but she told herself not to be sad.
A low, negative mindset would drag a person into the abyss.
Nora didn't want to let that emotion surround her. She shook her head, pushing away the negative thoughts in her mind, and got up to go to work.
Nora arrived at the company at ten o'clock.
Amelia was waiting for her at the door. "Nora, someone's looking for you."
"Who is it?"
"A foreigner."
Nora immediately knew it was the person who had contacted her by email. She hadn't expected him to come so quickly.
Amelia said quietly, "Terry invited him into his office. They're talking in there now. You need to be careful."
"Got it." Nora walked in wearing her heels. Fortunately, she was wearing a dress and heels today, so she wouldn't look unprofessional.
This was Nora's first time meeting a client in person, and honestly, she was quite nervous.
Because in e-commerce, they usually didn't need to meet clients. Everything was done online—communicating, shipping. They rarely met face-to-face. Plus, foreign clients rarely chatted; they just placed orders and waited for delivery. Nora only had to handle three or four emails a day. Most of her time was spent sourcing products, editing photos, and learning about operations.
But operations were useless without money, and Nora was in the no-money category—she couldn't afford advertising fees.
Big sellers usually invested a large sum in advertising first, then started making profits once their store took off.
Nora entered Terry's office. Terry was entertaining two people at the coffee table—one from The Iron Country and his assistant.
The man from The Iron Country was very tall, at least 6.3 feet, but his assistant was just as impressive, at least over 6 feet tall, with extremely good looks—handsome and eye-catching.
Most captivating were those eyes, which had a unique quality.
"Please have some coffee." Terry was hosting the two men, but he couldn't speak their language, which made him look awkward.
"Hello." Nora walked up confidently and greeted them.
Both men on the sofa looked over at the same time.
Andrew looked at Nora, a sly smile flashing in his eyes.
Today, he was pretending to be an assistant. He stood up and shook hands with Nora. "Hello."
When he stood up, he was so tall.
Nora looked up at him briefly, then introduced herself before saying to them, "Let me show you around our company."
After speaking, Nora led the two men out.
Terry couldn't understand what was being said. He just suddenly saw Nora leading the people out, and his face showed some anger!
Taking advantage of the fact that he didn't speak the language!
Damn Nora!
"This is our company..." Nora took the two men around the company and gave them a tour.
Although this wasn't her company, if she wanted to close the deal, she needed to present a good front.
Many people did this. If clients knew the company wasn't yours and you were just a small player, nine times out of ten, you wouldn't get the deal.
So if you wanted to make money, you had to push through, and especially not let them see your cards.
She introduced the company calmly throughout, though inside she felt uncertain, afraid of being exposed.
When they passed by Philip, he stared at Andrew with wide eyes, and Andrew patted his shoulder.
Nora was introducing products to the client from The Iron Country at the company's product display, not noticing the two men talking behind her.
"Andrew, what are you doing here?" Philip's expression was surprised.
Andrew made a shushing gesture and said with a smile, "I've got my eye on a girl. Came to make my move. Don't tell anyone."
Philip was stunned.
The girl Andrew had his eye on was Nora?
Philip's feelings were complicated. Andrew had already lifted his long legs and walked toward Nora. The young women in the company were all secretly checking him out.
This assistant is so handsome!
After introducing the products, Nora had nowhere to host them, so she said, "Let's go downstairs for coffee."
She took them to a café.
The main issue was that the company only had two offices—one was Willie's and one was Terry's. These were her clients, so she couldn't use their offices.
Without an office to host them, she could only go outside. Otherwise, would she have them sit at her desk to talk business?
To close a deal, you couldn't be too stingy with clients. Nora graciously asked what coffee they'd like and if they had any special requirements.
"Two lattes," Andrew answered.
"Okay." Nora went to order the coffee, then brought it over and placed it in front of them.
At that moment.
A Maserati was parked at the café entrance.
James entered the café and saw Nora buying coffee, walking up to Andrew, and respectfully serving them coffee.
James looked puzzled as he got back in the car and handed coffee to Steven in the back seat.
Steven's well-defined fingers took it.
James said with confusion, "Mr. York, I just saw Mrs. York."
Steven looked up.
James pointed to the café outside. "Right in that café. I saw her with Mr. Andrew York and his assistant, Duke Wood."
"Andrew?" Steven looked at James.
"Yes." James nodded. Andrew and Steven were competitors, both vying for the CEO position. James didn't understand why Nora was with Andrew.
