Chapter 100 Willie Meets Steven
Andrew's order is now half done, and she needs to take all the purchased goods back home.
But there's still a tricky problem right now.
Her store withdrawals need to go through Willie's bank account. What if he doesn't give her the money when she tries to withdraw it?
Nora feels she needs to solve this problem first.
After packing everything up, she has two large boxes.
Philip shut down his computer and came over, saying, "Nora, you have too much stuff. Let me drive you home." He has a car, so it would be more convenient.
At Apex Technologies Corporation, he can leave whenever he wants without anyone saying anything.
"Okay." Nora was grateful to Philip; otherwise, she would have had to call a moving truck.
Nora stood on the first floor of Golden Tower waiting for Philip.
Steven happened to be at Harman Tower for business. As soon as he left the building, he saw Nora standing next to the building, with two boxes beside her.
James said, "Mr. York, it's Mrs. York."
Steven saw her.
He immediately spotted that familiar figure in the crowd, his expression darkening.
James suggested, "Mr. York, Mrs. York has two boxes next to her that look pretty heavy. Should we go help her?"
Steven glanced at his watch.
Five o'clock in the afternoon.
Where was she going with two large boxes at this time?
Steven was about to walk over when Philip's car pulled up in front of her and honked.
Nora broke into a smile.
"It's Philip," James reminded him.
Steven's face turned cold.
James was about to say something else when Clarence quickly covered his mouth and said through gritted teeth, "Can you stop poking the tiger?"
James fell silent.
He was just trying to remind the boss.
Philip got out of the car, wearing a simple and elegant blue shirt. He walked to the car and helped her load the two boxes into the trunk.
Steven stared at Philip's blue shirt, his gaze completely cold.
This guy.
He seems to really like wearing blue shirts.
The gloom on Steven's handsome face grew heavier.
"Thank you, Philip." After Philip finished loading the stuff, Nora smiled and thanked him.
"It's nothing." Philip walked to the passenger side and opened the door for her.
Nora got in, and then the car drove away.
Steven's entire face was ice-cold.
She's hanging out with this Philip guy again!
If he's the owner of that blue shirt, Steven will divorce her!
The Porsche arrived at Riverside Apartment.
Philip helped her carry the boxes up. Nora said, "Thanks, you can leave them at the elevator. I can handle the rest myself."
"Okay." Philip was a considerate person. He straightened up and smiled at her, "Was today really hard for you?"
Nora shook her head, "I feel relieved, actually."
She had endured for too long. Today, she was finally free, though she felt a bit bad about Olivia.
And a bit uncertain about the future.
She had left impulsively and might face a series of problems afterwards.
First, she no longer had a company, so she couldn't sign monthly payment terms anymore.
Second, she couldn't use Willie's warehouse anymore.
Willie's company was big, and buying in bulk meant lower prices. The price for one item versus a thousand items was different.
If she went to buy goods herself, she wouldn't get wholesale prices but retail prices, which would greatly reduce her profit margins. Some items might have no profit at all.
Also, some goods were sold directly from factories. If she only wanted to buy a few or ten items, the factories wouldn't even bother with her.
So it was quite a headache.
"Go home and rest well, then make a plan and see what your next step should be." Philip comforted her like a big brother.
Nora nodded, "Yes, that's what I'm thinking too."
She'll cross that bridge when she comes to it!
Nora entered the elevator and waved goodbye to Philip.
As the elevator doors closed, Philip felt a bit regretful. He always wanted to mention how they first met, but never found the right opportunity.
He sighed and left.
Nora brought the stuff into the apartment and saw Willie sitting on the living room sofa with an expressionless face.
Eleanor had already complained to Willie about what had happened at the company earlier.
After meeting with suppliers, Willie had taken the call and come straight to Riverside Apartment to find Olivia.
Olivia asked him to come upstairs to talk. Her stomach was uncomfortable, so she was leaning on the sofa with two cushions behind her back.
Then Nora came home.
Nora felt a bit awkward.
Walking in on Olivia and Willie's conversation felt kind of weird.
Willie, like an elder, immediately started criticizing, "Nora, how could you do that at the company? We're all family. By posting those videos, how is Terry supposed to show his face at the company now?"
Family is family. Even though Terry often harassed female colleagues, Willie always turned a blind eye.
Nora said nothing and changed her shoes.
She placed the two large boxes to the side, then walked to the sofa and sat down calmly, meeting Willie's gaze. "First of all, they came to the company to cause trouble for me and accused me of seducing Terry. I only released those videos to prove my innocence."
"Couldn't you have just called me privately?" Willie looked at her with a heavy gaze.
This Nora was too sharp.
Willie was now certain he wouldn't let Nora stay at the company.
Otherwise, if she ever found out about him and Hazel, she would definitely make it known to everyone.
"Privately?" Olivia took over, "Willie, when Eleanor and Giselle misunderstood Nora, why didn't they ask Nora privately first? Now that Terry's dirty secrets are exposed, you want Nora to contact you privately. If she had contacted you privately, would you really have stood up for her?"
Willie would probably just tell Nora to endure it and swallow her anger!
He wouldn't care about Nora's reputation at all. Nora wasn't his real sister!
"What are you saying?" Willie glared at Olivia. "My mom is your mother-in-law, and my brother is also your brother. Show some respect when you speak."
"Forget it, Willie." Olivia took a sip of water. She was sitting on the sofa with her pregnant belly. "I'm never going back to your family. Eleanor falsely accused Nora, Terry tried to harass Nora, and Bianca constantly causes trouble for Nora. Your family—I can't handle people like that."
Olivia's meaning was clear. She wanted to divorce Willie.
Hearing Olivia say this, Nora felt relieved.
When she came home earlier, she was worried about Olivia. But now hearing Olivia say this, she knew Olivia was on her side.
Thank goodness Olivia saw through those monsters!
"Over such a small matter, is it really necessary to talk about divorce?" Willie looked at Olivia with displeasure.
"Very necessary." Olivia had seen through it all. The Reed family just looked down on her and Nora. If Willie wanted to be blindly obedient to his family, he could do it himself. From now on, Olivia would never put up with this treatment again!
Being pregnant, Eleanor demanded they sleep in separate rooms, constantly making things difficult for her. They wouldn't let her go back to work at the company she founded, and Nora was being driven to the wall, too.
With people like that, even a lady would be driven to become a shrew!
Willie was also a selfish person, only caring about his own comfort and keeping his family happy, but expecting his wife to endure all the grievances.
After thinking it through, Olivia felt completely at ease.
That's it then. She would use the law to protect her rights.
As they were talking, the door opened. At six o'clock, Steven walked in with a dark expression.
He had come back specifically to see if Nora had brought Philip home.
As it turned out, three people were talking in the house.
As soon as Steven entered, the people on the sofa stopped talking.
Willie glanced at Steven. This man was very tall, wearing a light trench coat, with a cool and noble air about him.
He was as handsome as a movie star.
Willie was stunned for a moment and looked at Olivia. "Who is this?"
