Chapter 155 CHAPTER 155

Chapter 155 CHAPTER 155

ROBIN

“I want to be inside you so bad.” Jack purred, stroking my lips softly.

“I know. I want you too.”  I gave out a despondent sigh, allowing my thoughts to roam wild to all the times he’d had me. This sabbatical period was going to rip me in pieces.

“It’s already been a month. I think it’s safe to say I’m losing my fucking mind. I miss you so much.” He cooed, leaning in to kiss me. Slowly

Painfully slowly.

Just talking about sex made me miss him even more.

Gosh, it felt like eons already.

“I miss it too.” I sighed. “Should we try?” He shook his head, I frowned.

“You’re still sore, baby. It’ll hurt like hell if we try now, and I can’t have you going through that. We need to wait some more, until you’re fully healed.”

I pouted stubbornly as he shifted his weight on top of me, making sure he didn’t crush me in our oversized bed.

“I know.” I whispered, tracing the outline of his face. He looked impossibly delicious.

“I’d like to get more supplies for the babies later today.” He cocked his head to the side, his eyes narrowing on me as though he didn’t comprehend what I had just said.

“We have an entire nursery full of supplies, three nannies taking care of our babies… and me. If you need anything, I’ll get it. You don’t need to lift a finger.”

“I know… but I really what to today. Please?” I squinted my eyes, in hopes my request could be granted.

“Robin Betton… did you just lie to me?”

I rolled my eyes, but only because he couldn’t see. “Fine. I lied.”

“I thought we agreed you were never going to lie to me.”

“You’d never agree to it if I’d told you the truth.”

“Which means what you’re planning to do is dangerous.” I wriggled beneath him, trying unsuccessfully to escape. He had me trapped, his whole arms surrounding me. “Where do you want to go?”

“Holloway prison.”

Jack recoiled, glaring at me.

“For what?”

“I want to see Millicent. I need to say a few words to her.” He released a long breath, shaking his head a little bit.

He was mad at me.

“NO.”

“See?” I groaned “This is exactly why I didn’t want to tell you. I just want to say everything I’ve bottled up to her pathetic face.”

“She’s dangerous. She can still hurt you and I’m not taking that chance.”

“Come on, Jack. It’s a prison for fucks sake, the whole place is surrounded by officers. There’s shit she can do.”

“I don’t know where this potty mouth is coming from, but I’m going to let it slide.” His expression hardened. “You’re not going to Holloway.”

“Please, Jack.” I cupped his face. “I just need to let it out.”

“Then I’m going with you. You’re not stepping foot in that shitty place alone.”

“Okay.” I relented, not willing to stretch my luck. “But I’m seeing her alone. You’re waiting in the car.”

“Not happening.”

“Please!” I begged. “Five minutes, just five minutes with her.”

He silently studied my face, obviously deliberating my request. “You get two.”

“Just two minutes?” I blinked at him in disbelief. How unreasonable could he be?

“Precisely.”

“That’s not enough.”

“Well, that’s all you get. Take it or leave it.”

I fought the boiling urge to unleash a barrage of swear words and roll my eyes at him just to spite him.

Two minutes?

What was I supposed to do? Exchange pleasantries?

“I’ll take it.” I muttered through gritted teeth, scowling. He all but laughed.

“Kiss me.” He whispered against my lips.

“No.”

“You’re not going.”

“Oh, for God’s sake.” I grabbed his head, yanking the breath out of him in a desperate kiss, leaving him giggling.

“You sneaky manipulator.” I accused.

“You should know by now Robin ...”

He pressed his lips to my cheek.

“I always win.” He winked, a smug smile lingering on his lips.

“The fuck you do.” I muttered beneath my breath.

“What was that?”

“Nothing.”

“You’re definitely not going now.” He grumbled, digging both hands into my flank, leaving me jerking uncontrollably.

“Jack!” I exploded into laughter, twisting beneath him. “I didn’t say anything!”

After minutes on end on the road, the infamous Holloway came into view, sending my stomach flipping uneasily.

“You okay?” Jack asked, gazing at my hand clawing into the leather of my seat. I immediately let go, oblivious to the fact that my fingers were digging into it the whole time.

“Um” I swallowed. “Yeah. I’m okay.”

Jack reached over and squeezed my hand. “If you feel uncomfortable, we can always go back.” I shook my head.

“No, I want to do this.” He nodded, leaning in to kiss me before I reached for the door handle, slipping out.

“Five minutes.” He called after me. I turned around, stunned.

“What happened, Mr McCullen?

He smiled. “I’m feeling incredibly generous.” He pointed towards the prison. “Chop-chop, time is ticking.”

I blew him a kiss before making my way into a place I never imagined I’d visit.

By the time I was escorted into the private visitation room Jack had arranged, five police officers were already stationed around the room.

Completely encircling the space.

This was ridiculous.

Then Millicent came into view. Her skin looking pale, dry and flaky, her posture slumped against the wall.

I inched closer, looking her up and down through my lashes. Prison did have a nasty habit of humbling people.

“The whore in person… you didn’t bring along your marionette?” Millicent snorted, smirking at me.

“Oh, I did. He’s actually waiting outside in the car.” I tilted my head, smiling sweetly. “A gesture you never had.” Her smirk slowly disappeared from her face, morphing into a vicious scowl.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” she growled, her eyes burning with rage. The nerve!

I was absolutely seething.

“To do it this.” WHAMM! I threw a resounding smack across her face, making her lurch ungainly, her hand clutching her cheek.

“That was for the hell you put me through at McCullen confectionery.”

Another hard slap landed on her other cheek, making sure it had the outmost power to make her stumble again. I yanked her upright by the neck.

“That was for what your sick brother did to me.” She stood huffing and puffing, glaring at me with a hateful gaze I’d never seen before. I didn’t fucking mind. I lifted my hand, and let it land heavily across her face, this time sharper than the last.

“This is for killing my father, bitch.”

She snarled, her chest rising and falling with fury before lunging towards me.

Two officers intercepted her immediately, slamming her against the hard table in the centre of the room.

“I’M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU, ROBIN!” she screamed, thrashing wildly in their grip. “I SWEAR TO YOU!”

I looked her dead in the eye.

“Maybe in your next life.” I smiled. “But not this one, honey.”

I stepped much closer towards her.

“You’re going to rot in this prison for the rest of your miserable life, Millicent. The only freedom you’ll ever see, is when they carry your body out in a body bag.”

I turned, walking towards the door.

“FUCK YOU!!!!!!” She screamed, hitting her forehead furiously against the table over and over again, each sickening thud reverberating around the room.

I stopped just at the doorway before slowly looking back, facing her one last time. “Yeah, fuck you too.”

I walked out, shutting the door behind me and leaving her ear-piercing screams trapped inside.

A long guttural sigh slipped from my mouth, satisfied I got to let some steam out—even if it only cost her three stinging slaps.
