Chapter 321: It Is Over
Abigail
“I am almost there!” Nicolas yelled in my ear.
“No!” I yelled back.
“Who do you belong to, you fucking brat.” Jeff shouted, shooting the ground three times without looking.
“I belong to you,” I shrieked.
“I belong to you, please, stop. Stop it” I cried into my hands, watching as Rodrigo removed his hands from around his head, a look of shock on not only his face but mine as to how none of the bullets hit him.
Everything went silent as my body slumped in defeat and Jeff approached me with a proud smile on his lips. The sound of tires screeching filed my ears just as multiple footsteps hit the ground closed by. I raised my head, seeing a large black car stopped as Jeff grabbed my hand and started pulling me towards it. My eyes widened, the scene feeling so familiar, so terrifying as I screamed.
“No, please, stop.”
“Shhh, come on, no fighting.” He whispered into my ear as I cried looking at Rodrigo who was pushing himself up. Nicolas appeared behind him, aiming his gun at us.
“Get her, Nicolas!” Sonia yelled.
“Let her go.” Nicolas demanded.
“I will shoot you in the fucking head, let her go!” He said and something fell on the side of my head.
“I will shoot her, you better put it down.” Jeff threatened, holding me in front of him as he backed us up into the car. Capo appeared as well, his gun raised.
Nicolas helped Rodrigo up, allowing him to use his body for support. Rodrigo lifted his head and looked at me, making more tears fall down my eyes.
“She has made her choice.” Jeff said.
“You heard it yourself, Rodrigo. She chose me, she is mine.” I sobbed out a plea, fighting against him.
“Let me go.” He only held me tighter as I struggled, making the earpiece fall to the ground somehow and Sonia's voice disappeared.
My eyes were stuck on Rodrigo, wondering why he wasn't doing anything, why he didn't look panicked or scared. He looked oddly calm, he took a deep breath and looked at Nicolas and Capo.
“Put your guns down, she made her choice.” He said. The hatred he felt was clear on his face and it didn't waiver when Nicolas and Capo stared at him in shock.
“You see?” Jeff whispered to me as I stopped fighting.
“No one will fight for you like I do, no one.” He opened the car door behind us and pulled me inside as I stood there, stunned.
“Muffin,” I whispered but he just looked away in anger. I shook my head in disbelief.
“No, please, no! He is going to hurt me, help me, please, no!” Jeff pulled me inside and closed the door, nodding to the driver as I tried grabbing at the doorknob, banging on the window as I screamed at them for help.
“Get in your fucking seat.” He ordered, shoving me back down. The chicken lock was on so I couldn't pull the door open.
I cried and cried the further we got as Jeff told the driver where to go. When I looked forward, I couldn't see much of the driver's face as he silently obeyed every order, not paying any mind to me.
“Come on, babygirl.” He said in my ear as he grabbed my thigh, and pulled it closer. I cringed, trying to shy away from him as much as possible without making him angry. He lifted me off the seat and came beneath me in the middle before sitting me on top, making me straddle him.
He lifted his hips for a moment and then put them back down when he got his gun from his waistband and put it on the center console behind me for the driver to take. I whimpered as his arms wrapped around me, his hands exploring my body. The look on his face was animalistic, it wasn't normal. I shivered as he attached his lips to my neck, kissing and sucking all over. I kept my hands at my side as he pulled the bottom of my hoodie up, touched the scars on my skin on purpose to remind me of them. I closed my eyes, letting out silent cries as each touch brought back the pain I endured all those time ago. My body was hot in the worst way possible, my sanity hanging on by a thread when something poked the skin of my back. I turned my head, seeing the driver's hand with the gun in it, pushing it into my hold. I pulled Jeff’s head closer, making him become rougher and more consumed with me, causing him to be less focused on everything else.
“I love you,” he groaned against my skin.
“You are mine, forever and I am going to hurt you so good, babygirl. We are going to have a good life, just like I told you so long ago, it is just us now..” He cut himself off when I pushed his head back and placed the gun underneath his chin.
I clenched my jaw, my face contorting in pain as I watched the look of confusion on his face turn into realization. He chuckled, closing his eyes.
“Abigail,” he said and I shook my head.
“Don't speak, don't make this any harder than it needs to be. I am begging you, please.” I begged, he swallowed, opening his eyes to show how glossed over they had become.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you, Abigail.”
“No,” I shook my head, crying.
“You hurt me, you loved me by forcing the pain you felt onto me, you took your pain and inflicted it onto me, you piece of shit!” I seethed through my teeth. My forehead fell against his as my thumb caressed the skin on his cheek.
“I hate you.”
I pulled away and cocked the gun but he didn't fight or struggle. If he was going to lose me, he would be satisfied to know it was by my own hands, no one else. It is not the same as if Rodrigo took me, it is me saving myself from him and he is okay with that. I looked away and my fingers pulled the trigger, my body shaking as I collapsed on top of him and held him with my arms. His chest was stuck in place, no longer lifting up and down and his hands fell from my hips down to the seats. I screamed out in pain, so much pain that I couldn't even tell if this was relieving a burden or adding on another one. He was gone, he couldn't hurt me anymore but it didn't feel good to know he was really gone. The same way Fiona is, I will never hear her voice, or feel his touch ever again. I felt the car slow down to a stop, the driver's door opened shortly before the back door. Gentle hands unravelled mine from Jeff’s body and pulled me out of the car before holding me tight against them, embracing me as I cried into their chest.
“It is over.” He said and my eyes widened in shock as I pulled away from him. He smiled down at me as I covered my mouth with my hands and cried even harder before throwing myself back into his arms.
“You said…you said you wouldn't get here in time.”
“I got here days ago, darling.” Alec said.
