Chapter 94 I Have Nothing To Lose

Chapter 94 I Have Nothing To Lose

"Are you serious? We just broke up and you're already seeing someone new? How low can you go?"

"Get lost." Olivia's anger flared at James's crude words, but she didn't want to make a scene in public. She shot him a cold glare and raised her hand to hail a cab.

"I'm talking to you!" James grabbed her hand, yanking her to face him directly. "Have you no shame? Don't forget, I'm still your fiancé!"

"Let go!" Olivia was fed up with his repetitive accusations. Her calm demeanor shattered as she furrowed her brows. "I've already said I want to break off the engagement. Can you stop clinging to me like gum? It's disgusting!"

She forcefully shook off James's grip, ignoring the redness on her wrist, and tried to walk away.

James, his face dark with anger, took large strides to catch up and dragged her towards his car.

His grip was strong, and Olivia, refusing to cooperate, was practically being dragged. As they neared the black car, unpleasant memories surged in her mind. She pounded on James's arm and sternly warned, "Where are you taking me? Let go! If you don't, you'll regret it!"

"I need to talk to you." James's voice was cold, his pace unrelenting.

As the car got closer, Olivia's anxiety grew. She lowered her head and bit down hard on James's wrist.

The sharp pain made James release her. Just as he was about to call her crazy, a slap landed squarely on his face.

The sound of the slap was crisp and loud, turning James's head to the side.

Olivia glared at him with fury, her teeth clenched. "If you lay a hand on me again, I'll call the police and have you arrested!"

"I will never marry you. I hope you and Isabella have a wonderful life together!"

"Bitch!" James was enraged by her defiance and raised his hand to strike back.

Olivia didn't flinch, her voice loud and clear. "Go ahead! Hit me, and I'll call the cops!"

Though furious, James hadn't completely lost his senses. He pulled back his hand, spewing venomous words, "You shameless whore! Pretending to be all high and mighty now, but who knows how many beds you've crawled into. You're nothing but a slut!"

"Me, a slut? Crawling into beds?" Olivia's mind raced. She immediately pulled out her phone. "I've recorded everything you said. Either you provide evidence, or we go to the police."

He always accused her of sleeping around? Fine, let him prove it!

"You want evidence?" James sneered, pulling out his phone and scrolling through it.

Olivia thought he was bluffing, but the next second, he shoved the screen in her face, demanding, "Is this whore you?"

One glance and Olivia's face went pale. She murmured in disbelief, "No way..."

The photo showed her and Alexander in bed, clothes disheveled and in an intimate position.

James, hearing her disbelief, smirked and swiped through more photos. "Take a good look. Is this you?"

Olivia's eyes were glued to the photos, her lips trembling, unable to speak.

How could it be? The foolish, reckless person in the photos couldn't be her...

What was more shocking was that every piece of evidence pointed to Alexander as the man she was with!

Alexander, the one who had been so kind and supportive since she woke up from the pool, whom she had come to see as family!

Olivia felt like an invisible hand was squeezing her heart, making it hard to breathe.

"Evidence is clear. You still want to deny it?" Seeing her shocked expression, James felt triumphant.

She was so loud earlier. Why was she silent now?

"Delete those photos right now. You've invaded my privacy!" Olivia's voice trembled slightly as she held her phone tightly. She took a deep breath, looked James in the eye, and said firmly, "If those photos get out, you'll regret it."

"Remember, I have nothing to lose!"

With that, she left.

Her pace was quick, almost like she was fleeing.

Watching her retreating figure, James's eyes were filled with hatred. "That bitch, how dare she threat me!"

Though he hated Olivia, he wasn't stupid enough to spread her scandal. Their engagement was still on, and her disgrace would also tarnish his reputation.

These photos were his leverage. If push came to shove, he'd use them as his trump card to deliver a fatal blow!

The next morning.

Alexander woke up late, having gone to bed too late the previous night.

Rushing downstairs, he noticed Olivia's untouched breakfast. He asked the maid, "Where's Olivia?"

Maybe she overslept too?

The maid replied, "I didn't see her this morning. She might have already gone to the office."

"Alright." Alexander didn't think much of it, quickly finishing his breakfast before heading to work.

The morning was busy, and by the time his meetings ended, it was already 1 PM.

Hurrying back to his office, Alexander couldn't help but wonder what Olivia had packed for lunch today.

She had been subtly asking about his food preferences yesterday, so today's lunch was likely to be quite a treat.

Wheeling himself into his office, he glanced at his desk but saw no lunchbox. He checked the coffee table, but it was empty too.

Could she still be at work?

Alexander hesitated, picking up his phone to call Olivia. Then he paused, reconsidering.

Why was he so eager? He didn't want her to think he was overly dependent on her lunches.

Instead, he called Simon to order lunch.

Without Olivia's lunch, Alexander spent the day in a foul mood.

This mood persisted until 11 PM.

Thinking Olivia would be off work soon, Alexander began to pack up, his movements impatient.

On a whim, he pressed the button for the design department floor in the elevator.

Coincidentally, he ran into the design team leaving for the day.

Unfortunately, Olivia wasn't among them.

After some subtle inquiries, Alexander learned that Olivia had left at 10 AM.

Back home, Alexander knocked on Olivia's door as he passed by.

He wanted to talk to her.

But there was no response.

Growing suspicious, he announced, "I'm coming in," and turned the doorknob.

The room was empty.

A sense of unease washed over him as he immediately called Olivia.

The phone rang for a long time before she finally answered.

"Where are you?" Alexander's voice carried a hint of worry.

Olivia had her excuse ready. "I've been staying at a hotel to focus on preparing for the design competition."
