Chapter 35 35
Hazel’s POV
Just then, the physician came out of Draven's room. “The Alpha is..." he drawled before turning around again mysteriously. "Yes, what happened to the alpha?" Sam asked once more.
"I've managed to stop the bleeding, so you can be assured, but there's something else." In the heat of the moment, the physician meticulously walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.
The elders that all had their gazes on me shifted it to the physician, and they all hurriedly gathered right before her like bees, their eyes filled with concern and worry for Alpha Draven.
Amongst them, I could see the look in Sam's eyes; he seemed so worried about their Alpha, more worried than the rest. He suddenly stepped forward and spoke to the physician first.
"Noah?" He asked, his voice etched with worry and concern, as he fully came out.
"Yes, what happened to the alpha?" Sam asked once more. With a deep breath, Noah finally spoke up, his voice carrying calmness in the chaotic atmosphere.
"Well, Alpha Draven needs rest. It's imperative that we keep noise levels to a minimum. The noises outside the room will make it hard for him to find peace in his sleep and have a swift recovery." He explained calmly.
From how he looked, I could tell he was trying his best not to sound rude in any way. A collective sigh of relief washed over each and every one of us. He had scared me at first.
The elders all left collectively, and Morris gave me a scoff before walking past me. Once they were gone, the physician turned and disappeared into the room once more.
As I stood near the entrance of Draven's room, my heart suddenly began racing with fear and trepidation. I heard the sound of loud coughs and hardened breathing. What was going on? I thought Draven was supposed to be asleep.
I tried to open the door, but it was locked, so I had no choice but to call. "What's going on? Open up." I yelled, my voice laced with worry.
"Don't worry much, Miss Hazel, just stay outside." He ordered. I had no idea what was going on, and not knowing felt like a curse. I began praying to the moon goddess again.
Draven doesn't deserve this, so why does it keep happening to him? The minutes felt like hours, stretching out into an agonising eternity.
But just then, as if the universe had heard my silent prayers, Noah meticulously walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. "What happened? Is he okay? What happened to Draven?"
I urged him by rambling out my questions, hoping he would answer one immediately, as his silence was annoying. "Calm down, Miss Hazel," he urged.
"How do you expect me to calm down? Tell me what happened to him." I urged in a flurry. "Alpha Draven just had a small fever, and then he began coughing. He is fine now." She explained, and I felt a huge weight lift from my chest.
He placed a hand on my shoulders, gently soothing me before he continued, his gaze steady and piercing. "I've done what I can do for now, but he will need constant monitoring.”
“I think you should be able to look after him tonight and monitor his temperature changes, just to be on the safe side. His body will take time to heal, but it will most definitely be okay." He explained.
With a slightly stressed smile, I nodded in agreement. "I will speak to the elders about his health right now, but they won't be coming here, so he will be able to have some rest. They would only come see him once he was fully healed.”
And just in case, I would also tell the guards that the Alpha has ordered them to stand outside his room and not let anyone come in without permission," he said. I felt so grateful to him at that moment.
"Thank you so much, Noah." I thanked him sincerely, and he chuckled, his beautiful smile coming out to play. "I'm just doing my job, Miss Hazel.
"I shall take my leave then. Goodbye Hazel." He said that and turned the other way, walking down the hall. " I opened the door of Draven's room and, with controlled steps, approached his sleeping figure.
He looked so calm and peaceful, yet so handsome at the same time. I got to the side of the bed and knelt right next to him. I inspected his every facial feature, meticulously making sure to pay attention to every detail.
From his hair to his luxurious lashes and his long pointed nose, all the way down to his... lips His beautiful, pink, thin lips urged me to get closer. I found myself leaning in towards him; my brain and mind screamed at me to get away from him.
I needed to stop myself, and I was screaming inside my head, pleading with my body to, but it just had a mind of its own. His lips were just a hair's breadth away. I could feel his calm breaths fanning my face.

Zac's POV
I threw every damn thing on the table to the floor in anger. I felt enraged, and I was blazing mad. I was just about to get him—to get that Draven. I wanted the one person who betrayed me to suffer slowly as he lost his last breaths.
But I failed. Failed!. And to whom did I fail? The pack warriors of the Diamond Pack A mere little pack that had just witnessed the downfall of their Alpha. What is it with these werewolves?
On neutral ground, once the Alpha is taken out, the warriors and guards have nothing to fight about anymore as their feelings would weaken in fear and they would be left to turn into an emotional state.
But had this formidable pack been able to fight back? And more fiercely. "Reuben!" I yelled, and a tall guard ran in and knelt before me. "Yes, Alpha Zac." He responded, respectively.
"Go and get a maid to clean up this mess! And then invite Maddy to my room. Tell her I'm in a bad mood and need her comfort right now." I heard Reuben hum in the affirmative before turning away in a hurry.
I closed my eyes and wondered just how many times I'd go at it with Maddy once I got my hands on her once more. I thought of how good it felt to be in her always-tight, womanly area.
The thoughts of Maddy filled my head with images of lewd and intimate moments between us. I had momentarily forgotten about the failure of the war against Draven and his foolish pack.
My Adam's apple bobbed up and down as I swallowed hard. Today she'll have to do more work, pleasuring me, and I'm going to take things slow for a while.
"Zac?" I heard Maddy's sweet, melodious voice call to me and opened my eyes to see her standing there in casual wear. Wait, why casual wear?
Maddy's POV
I had been told by Reuben that Zac had wanted to see me, and with that, he said I could tell Zac wanted to have sex with me. Which only meant that he had succeeded in this war so quickly. Oh no.
I felt upset but also decided to calm myself down first and not just jump to conclusions. Because if Zac also failed, he'd need a distraction, and sex has always been his perfect distraction.
I’ve always wanted to leave this hell of a pack. I was stuck here as a sex slave to Zac and I didn’t want that anymore. I hope the plan Jason has works out, if not I’ll be stuck here forever.
Jason was my only hope of freedom right now. I quickly dashed off to his room. "Zac. Is everything okay? D-... did you do anything to them?" I was stuttering uncontrollably in fear of the unknown.
I could see his face contort from that of lust and longing to a mix of disgust and anger. “What are you doing, Maddy? I asked Reuben to inform you that I am in a bad mood and need your comfort. So why are you in my room dressed in this?"
On hearing that, I realised that he was definitely in a bad mood, which meant all was well Alpha Draven. With a smile on my face, I replied to him calmly.
"Oh, that was a foolish mistake of mine. I'll go get ready and be back now." I informed them and turned to leave when he stopped me.
"Prepare yourself and room for me; I'll come over to meet you in 5 minutes." He said, and with that, I left his room and immediately headed for mine. After a few minutes, I was already done prepping the room.
I had the room set to an erotic mood and even prayed myself with my most amazing scented perfume. I shaved and put on my sexiest red lingerie. As though on cue, there was a knock on the door, and I immediately went over and opened up for him.
