Ruan's pov

I was dodging home when Reis’s call came. He sounded like there was trouble until he mentioned that the trouble involved that petty girl, Luceila.

I had succeeded in staying away from the house, not wanting to be anywhere near her that could make me lose my mind or lose control and now, my beloved brother was calling me to come help her.

“You're joking right?” I was completely irritated when he made emphasis on how important it was. Like I cared.

“Ruan…you can decide to be rude and stupid another time but not today. Don't make me come looking for you.” He hung up. That was his way of warning me to keep up or I'd regret it.

I’d ignore it and do whatever I liked but Reis would love to have my head first so it wasn't a chance I was willing to take. I lifted myself from the bed as I turned to face Faye who was sleeping behind me.

The moment I made my way out of the bed, she caught my hand, causing the sheets to fall from her body, exposing her breasts. She flashed a sly smile.

“Leaving already? I thought we were going to spend the night together.” She whined, pulling me to the bed and I followed her movements, let her lure me to her.

I sat back on the bed, using both hands to lift her and place her on top on me. My dick was already awake and she noticed it and began grind herself against me.

“Yes baby” I groaned, pulling her even closer as a soft moan escaped my lips. “My dear brother needs me to help me uncover some mystery behind our stepsister.” I made a face to show how unbothered I was.

Faye wasn't really paying attention because her eyes were already dragging backwards in pleasure. My dick was begging to be free but knowing that Reis could have my head soon, I was eager to leave.

I made to pull away from Faye but she didn't want to break loose. “Do you really have to go? Tonight was supposed to be ours.”

I planted kisses in her cheeks, finally getting her to unplug herself from me. “I know baby but if Reis finds out that I'm not on my way yet, we won't remain here for long. But I promise to come back as soon as I'm done.”

She whined, making a sad face. “Are you sure? I don't like spending the night alone and you know that.”

I cupped her face, kissing her fully on the lips this time. “I know baby, I promise I'll come back to you as soon as we're done. Hopefully, Reis doesn't bore us with any of his talks.”

It didn't take long for me get soured in a frown the moment I stepped into the house. As I had expected, her scent was everywhere and it tortured me. It got even worse when I heard her laughing in the living room.

I increased my pace to see why she was laughing her lungs out. I got to the living to see her seated with Dad, he was showing her something in his phone.

I cleared my throat to get their attention and their eyes were instantly turned to me. Dad was the first to speak.

“And he eventually showed up. Welcome back.” He laughed, nudging Luceila to continue looking at his phone. “If you're looking for Reis, he's in his room with Silas.” He added without looking at me from his phone.

They were laughing again and for some reason, I felt a strong sting of jealousy steep through me. Why would she be happy with my father? A father who barely looked at me the same without a scorn on his face.

I made a huff and stormed up to Reis’s room. Reis was working on his laptop when I found him while Silas laid on his bed. Reis thew me a quick glance and suddenly his face was looking judgemental.

“You were at her place, weren't you?” His question caught me off guard. I was surprised as to how he knew where I was. I didn't answer him, I only pretended like I was trying to get lost in my phone.

“Pretending not to hear me now, is it?” I glanced at him, he still wasn't looking at me. He was working on his laptop and trying to fuck with my mind.

“That is none of your business. I do what I want with whoever I want and no one—”

Reis stopped typing and keep his eyes on me. He placed the laptop on the table and knotted his fingers together. “With someone father is against? What if he finds out that your constant absence from this house is only because you've been fucking with the enemy's daughter. Is she the one that has slept with all the wolves in this city?”

My fist folded and soon, I was standing in front of him, itching to plant a blow in his face. “Say that one more time and I will—”

“Or what?” Reis asked with a smug smile on his face. He was enjoying my frustration. Typical diabolical brother of mine. “Go on, throw that punch and let's see who survive it tonight.”

On a normal level, I stood no chance with Reis. Even now that I was mad and felt like it mattered, daring to throw the first blow only meant my funeral. I accepted defeat and dropped my hands, only shoving him to the side, earning a smirk from him.

I dumped my bag to the bed and folded my arms. “Why did you call me here? It better not be a waste of my time.”

“In a hurry to leave? Well, after tonight you won't be able to leave as much as you like.”

I blinked, wondering what other stupid things he was saying again. “What the hell are you talking about? How will I not be able to leave?”

“Well” Reis made a circle around the table. “Be
cause we are going to find our sister's mate. And it's all us.”
