Chapter 26
Krystal POV
Nathan pushed me and a snake bite him.
“Argh!”
I aim the snake mouth and it turned into a stone. I make my feet hot and the ice melted and when it was totally gone I dash towards Nathan and look at his arm, it’s already violet and it’s already swelling.
“We need to get out of here,” he said
“Are you okay?” I ask.
“I’m okay, don’t worry. We need to get out of here we need to say it to Lux,”
I help Nathan stand up and we look for Lux, but he’s still inside the fire that he created.
“Lux!” I shout calling his name
The fire that surrounds him is gone and the corpses of the enemies lay on the ground. Lux looks at us panting. He let go of his sword and it vanish in thin air.
“What?” He ask. He look at Nathan that had a swell arm “Disgusting, what happen to you brat?”
“We don’t have a time for conversations we need to get out of here” Nathan answered
“How?” Lux ask
Nathan made a portal out of his charm. I look at Sir Rex that is fighting Vince. I let go of Nathan’s arm.
“Go inside the portal I will go to Sir Rex and tell him to come with us” I said
“No” I heard Nathan object
“Are you nuts?!” I look at Lux that is holding my wrist, stopping me from what I want to do “We need to get out of here or all of us will die here”
He dragged me towards the portal by my wrist, but I insist. Pulling my hand back but he just grip to it tightly.
“No! Let me go! I don’t want to leave him here!”
I kick him on his waist and he lets go of my wrist I run towards Sir Rex but before I about to help him he shout
“No! Go inside the portal with Nathan leave me here,”
“No, all of us will leave this place!”
“Your not going anywhere” Vince said and dash toward me. He was about to attack me but Sir Rex held him down
“Lux, take Krystal with you!”
Lux pulled me away and drag me towards the portal and push me inside.
“No!” Tears formed again in my eyes, flowing to my cheeks
“Stop it Krystal!” Lux said
I stop struggling to get out of his grip. Vince stab Sir Rex on his stomach and blood flowed from his stomach.
The portal closed and I can’t do anything to help him. The portal leads us to a forest that is far from the Academy, and the portal vanished. I bite my lips as my hands formed into a fist.
“Krystal,”
I grab Lux by the collar and pin him on the tree. My breath got heavy.
“Why did you stop me?! I can him even if I’m alone!” I shout in his face and he glared at me.
“Do you want to die, huh?!”
“So what if I die at least I saved someone from getting killed I’m not like you that is used to watch someone to get killed!”
“Lux, Krystal stop it” Nathan and Jerome separate us
“There is nothing you can do to save him because Vince is much stronger than you you’re just wasting the sacrifices they do for you,”
I stop from what Lux said.
“I-”
“Stop being a brat and try to be useful! If you don’t want others to die, then stop being useless and prove that their death is not useless, that they didn’t die in vain!”
Am I that useless?
