CHAPTER 31

I felt my blood suddenly disappear from my body after Adrian hugged me. I simply glanced at Andrei, his eyes were dark and his jaw tightening as he stared outside.

It was only then that I noticed Rozz with a cold emotion as he stood outside the door, and next to him was Mommy with a pale face.

"W-what are you doing here?" I stuttered.

I didn't know what to prioritize. My son who was happy to see me, Andrei who seemed like he was about to explode at any moment, Rozz, or my mother.

Rozz finally came in and approached me. He pushed me over to his side and gave Andrei a glare. My son immediately followed and hugged me, and started to get scared.

"I'm here to pick you up," he said coldly while holding my arm tightly.

I was hurt by his grip, but I couldn't say it, because my son might be more scared.

"I'm coming Rozz." I whispered softly, hoping he would calm down.

"You're not going anywhere, wife," Andrei said.

I just closed my eyes in frustration and pain, because Rozz's grip on me tightened even more.

"I'm hurting Rozz," I whispered, so that my son couldn't hear.

He stared at Andrei intensely and laughed foolishly.

"She's my fiancé," Rozz insisted to Andrei.

Oh fuck!

I immediately scolded Andrei and gave him a meaningful look, but like Rozz, they both just ignored me.

He smirked and walked near us. He was only a short distance from us when he stopped.

"You are holding my WIFE, Mr. Fuederigo," he said emphasizing the word.

The room was quiet for a moment. Rozz turned to look at me, and if before his expression was cold, his eyes were begging now.

"Tell me Cassandra, would you choose me, or him?" he asked while looking directly in my eyes.

I froze. I looked at him and Andrei.

It's funny to think that lately I was determined to continue my breakup with Andrei, but here I am now, confused.

I stopped, looking at Andrei, his eyes full of fear. Rozz tightened his grip on me as he saw me looking intensely at him. I could not help but feel pity for Andrei, whenever I remembered how I had driven him away and could not believe those times.

I shifted my gaze to Rozz. I could not really read his emotions; there was fear, but there was no doubt. It was as if he knew within himself that he was the one I would choose, and he just wanted me to tell Andrei.

"We're still married Rozz," instead of choosing, that's all I said and averted my eyes.

My eyes immediately hit Yhanna, who was now pale on the side as she looked at us. She was scared. Our eyes met, her jaw moving to speak, but she failed a few times.

My other roommates also noticed that. I don't know why, but Rozz seemed to loosen his grip on me as he turned his attention to Yhanna, who he had just noticed was with us in the room.

"Daddy," my son said next to me.

Shit.

I shuddered as I looked down at Adrian who was now smiling at his father. He quickly let go of me and ran to his father.

It was as if my heart was pounding with excitement as Andrei greeted him with a smile. He immediately picked him up and messed up the child's hair.

"How are you buddy?" he asked casually.

"I'm good Daddy. So did you already fix things with Mom?" My three-year-old son asked.

I felt like my world was spinning with nervousness, confusion, and anxiety.

"What the hell is happening in my life?" I mumbled as I saw my son with his father, talking casually like they already knew each other.

We were enveloped in a moment of silence until Rozz's weak laugh broke it.

He tightened his grip on me again and pulled me to his side.

"Let's go," he finally said and dragged me away, but even before we could get away, a strong force stopped one of my hands.

"Why do you seem to be in such a hurry to leave Mr. Fuederigo?" Andrei said foolishly while carrying our son on the other side of his arm.

He leaned closer to my son and whispered something. Adrian just nodded at him and got down from his father's grasp. He ran to a room and locked the door.

Somehow my anxiety eased at that moment. I thanked him in the back of my mind.

Slowly, Rozz faced Andrei. He sighed before giving him a punch. Andrei fell, Rozz quickly hit him, and kept punching him.

We all shouted in the room as they started to fight.

"Andrei! Rozzemick!" I called as I tried to get near them.

Even before I could get close, Andrei quickly grabbed Rozz, and pulled him under himself. Andrei started to punch him in the face, hard.

"Oh my God! Stop this please! Stop them." I cried to my companions.

Mommy stayed outside the door while quietly crying. Yhanna, on the other hand, was like before; trying to speak, but couldn't get a word out.

"Andrei please. Stop. Please baby, stop it." I cried please and just sat down.

Andrei's fist stuck in the air and he turned to look at me. I immediately waved my hand at him to approach while continuing to cry.

"Come here hubby. Please stop this." I pleaded..

His previously dark eyes immediately blinked. He slowly left Rozz alone and walked closer to me.

Instead of holding my hand, he quickly hugged me. As usual he quickly squeezed his head around my neck. I felt the wetness of that part, he was crying.

I hugged him back and stroked his head.

"I wanna kill him, wife. I wanna kill him," he mumbled as he silently sobbed.

"Please be rational Andrei. Rozz was also hurt, after all he's the victim here." I explained weakly.

He immediately shook his head and hugged me even tighter. "No baby, we are the victims here because he... He was the one who made our life miserable. Baby he's... the cause of your miscarriage," he said and let go of me. He touched my face and he looked me in the eye. "He is the one behind what happened to us Cassandra. Not just because of the stress. He really planned to kill them, he made you drink something that could cause miscarriage." He added.

I felt like I became deaf and mute at that moment. I turned my gaze to Yhanna to confirm what Andrei had said. She just nodded and cried.

I closed my eyes and tearfully remembered what happened that day. How I started to feel weird in my belly when we both ate, and how he said to me that a girl was close to Andrei. He's also the one who pushed me to go to the office.

It was all planned?

I looked at Rozz, who was now sitting. emotionlessly looking at me.

"Why? What the hell did I do to make you do all that to me? Was I a bad friend?" I asked in tears.

A few seconds later he laughed and slowly stood up.

"You did nothing, but your parents did. You should have married me, but what did uncle do? He married you to someone else. I just took my Cassandra back."

Anger lingered within me, so I quickly stood up. I approached him and slapped him hard. Andrei quickly followed me and hugged me, because I was about to fall when I stood up.

"That's my son, Rozz. He was my son," I cried.

His jaw tightened and he looked at me darkly.

"Your son with another man, so I couldn't accept that!" he kept shouting.

I dropped my jaw looking at him. "What kind of reason is that?" I could not believe what he had said, and what Ayesha had repeatedly told me came into my mind:

He's obsessed.

"Let's go home. We will take care our wedding," he said coldly.

I just stumbled, watching him adjust the clothes he was wearing.

"You expect me to marry you after I just found out that you are the reason why my son died?" I said, almost mocking him.

An evil smile appeared on his lips. "Believe me, you will. Besides, one of them survived, isn't that enough? Adrian was there, but of course he can't live with us. Leave him to your mom, or maybe to your man, he is the father anyway."

"FUCK YOU!" I couldn't help but swear at all the madness coming out of his mouth.

"Let's go home," he commanded sternly.

"No! Who the hell will come with you?!" I hissed and clung to Andrei even more.

"You?" he replied laughing, and looked at Mommy.

I was immediately nervous at that moment.

"Do you want to see what's behind the door?" he said foolishly, and there a man slowly came out. He was holding a gun to my mom's head.

No, no, not my mom...

"Now, let's go home my queen. I'll wait for you in my car." He spoke coldly and walked out.

He overtook Mommy and walked along as his companion's gun remained pointed.

Andrei hugged me tightly and bent over my shoulder.

"Please don't leave me again," he begged weakly.

My tears began to flow and I hugged him back.

"Please take care of our son Andrei." I whispered, crying.

I could feel the weakness of his hug once I said it.

"I'm sorry, I can't leave Mommy. Please take care of our son." I mumbled and ran away.

Away from him, away from our son, and away from my family.
