CHAPTER 24

"Taxi?" Azaia answered immediately.

As I expected, Ayesha burst out laughing again, almost sinking into the table. I just laughed in my mind too.

"Well, welcome to the club, Azaia! There is no thrill, since you do not have a love life," Ayesha hiccupped. "And no one has ever popped your cherry. Here is your chance to be with a man. HAHAHA!" Ayesha continued while looking foolishly at Azaia.

"All right. Don't be KJ," Ayesha groaned while pushing Azaia.

Azaia did nothing but obey.

"Choose handsome Azaia!" I laughed out loud.

She just gave me a middle finger before finally going out. Ayesha just laughed and leaned on the couch.

"Men are trash, why are you making her find one?” I suddenly said then sat down properly.

I just laughed and drank the rest of the wine from my glass.

What a waste.

"It's not like she will be like us," Ayesha said seriously which stopped me.

She looked at me and smiled. "You know she may find a better one, unlike us," she shrugged.

"I hope so," I whispered softly.

We were consumed for a moment by silence as we continued to consume the remaining bottle of wine.

"It's been four years since you left," Ayesha said while looking at the ceiling.

"It's been four years since you followed me to America," I said and closed my eyes.

I could hear her soft laugh. "We've been together for four years," she mumbled in an awe.

I automatically smiled remembering the three of us together in America.

That's right, the three of us together in America. I had been in America for a week when I asked Mommy to find Azaia to follow me. I was so shocked when a month later I found Ayesha in front of my house. And ever since then, we have been supporting each other. In fact, Ayesha and I are very grateful to Azaia. She is the one who took care of us, even though I am paying her.

My mind returned when my phone rang. I picked it up and answered seeing the caller.

"Rozz," I said his name.

"Hey my queen. How's the Philippines?" he asked softly.

I answered him with my eyes closed because my body was overflowing with alcohol. "Happy. We are here at the bar," I said.

I heard his gasp on the other line. "Be sure, Cassandra, that no one approaches you," he said sharply I laughed.

"Chill. We're just here in the VIP room and on our way home. You? How are you?" I said while squeezing my senses.

"Lonely. You're not here. I don't have a secretary anymore. I miss you."

"I miss you too," I immediately replied then opened my eyes.

Ayesha immediately greeted me. She rolled her eyes to what I was doing.

"Wait for me my queen. I can follow you there in the Philippines this week, then we'll prepare our wedding," he said on the other line.

"I'll wait for you. Take care always Rozz." I replied.

"I have to hang up; the meeting's starting. You be careful, and please my queen, stay away from boys," he emphasized the last word.

I just laughed at what he said.

"I love you," he said full of emotion.

I smiled and sat up. "I love you too," I replied.

I heard him breathe a deep sigh again before hanging up.

"I didn’t expect that you two would be together in the end," Ayesha said without emotion.

I rolled my eyes before leaning back on the couch.

"You still don't like him." I laughed.

"I already told you the reason," she said with a shrug. "Do you love Rozz enough to get married?" Ayesha asked seriously.

I slowly opened my eyes and turned my attention to her.

I smiled at her. "There's no reason for me not to love him. He's a good guy after all. And there is no woman besides me in his life."

"Is that it?" Ayesha laughed.

I faked a smile. "If anyone gives me a chance to choose, it's Rozz. He has done a lot for me, for us. He gave us work remember? So we lived our lives when we were still in America." I explained.

She nodded as a sign that she understood what I was getting at.

"Let's just say Rozz is my safe zone. He loved me from the start. Me alone. There is no reason for me to hurt because of him." I added.

"I love you, but you don't love me. What a twist." She smirked after saying that.

"I can learn to love him. He's not hard to love." I said and slowly stood up.

"I'll pee first. I'll also look for Azaia," I said goodbye to her, she just waved at me and leaned on the table.

Wasted as fuck.

I staggered around walking until I reached the restroom.

I will never really drink too much again. Damn it.

After I peed, I adjusted myself in front of the mirror.

I stood up at the sink as I rolled my eyes again.

"Fuck really," I hissed before washing my hands.

I wiped my face and walked out of the bathroom.

Even before I got far from the door, I was hit by an incoming woman, causing me to lose my balance.

I just closed my eyes and prepared myself to fall. But that did not happen because of the strong arm that wrapped around my waist.

"Jeez! Baby you're drunk," a familiar voice hissed.

I slowly opened my eyes to see what was in front of me, but I could not see, because it was really blurry.

I just laughed and clasped my hand around his neck in support.

He straightened me up while my arm was still resting on my waist.

I sank into his massive chest because of the softness.

Smells good.

"I wanna go home," I said softly.

I want to sleep.

I could feel him hugging me at the same time as I was lifted into the air. I did not complain or go crazy. I didn't know why, but I was comfortable with it.

"Yeah, we will go home." I heard him mumble before I was completely swept away by darkness.
