Chapter 19 This Account Will Be Settled Sooner or Later

Ava knew that Tasha’s participation in this competition was definitely Tyrone's idea. After all, winning the championship was the only way to obtain the investment Tyrone needed to revive his company.

Ava’s heart, which had been silent for so long, was once again ignited with anger by this deception. She wished she could rush up and slap Tasha a few times to let her know that the money of the Smith family wasn't to be spent so easily.

But she held back. Today's purpose was to participate in the perfume competition, not to settle scores.

Ava took a deep breath and walked towards the registration counter.

But before she could take two steps, Tasha blocked her way, accompanied by a sneer.

"Some people are really shameless," Tasha said mockingly.

Ava's gaze swept over coldly. "I advise you to keep your mouth shut, otherwise don't blame me for being impolite."

Tasha chuckled sarcastically, running her fingers through her hair gracefully. Her eyes turned and she sneered at Ava. "It's ridiculous. What do you have now to make me feel uncomfortable? Your sugar daddy?"

Many eyes turned towards them, and Ava didn't want to make a scene. Her purpose today was to participate in the competition.

She had intended to avoid her, but unexpectedly, Tasha blocked her path again.

"What? Are you too embarrassed to admit it?" Tasha taunted.

"Tasha, I haven't settled the score with you yet. Don't make a fool of yourself here," Ava retorted.

Tasha's face turned iron blue. "Who are you talking about?"

"Whoever just spoke up," Ava replied.

Tasha raised her hand as if to strike, but considering her current image, she restrained herself and put on a smile again.

"It's obvious that you seduced Tyrone and failed, so you started thinking about climbing into other men's beds. Otherwise, why do you, a fallen member of the Smith family, have the qualifications to stand here? Do you know who the people here are?" Tasha said, looking around with disdain.

A person on the side asked, "She seems to be the former lady of the Smith family, right?"

Another person said, "Relying on an old man to reclaim the Smith family, she's really despicable."

Someone else said, "Look at her waist. It's probably played by several old men."

The surrounding discussions grew louder, and eyes like curved knives fell on her, with some men already harboring thoughts of taking advantage of her.

Tasha crossed her arms and looked at her, saying, "See? Everyone's eyes are clear. A woman like you who seduces men everywhere to climb up the social ladder is nothing but a shameless slut."

“Slap!”

Ava slapped her hard, nearly knocking Tasha to the ground with the force.

Tasha staggered for a moment before regaining her balance, her eyes red with anger. She covered her slapped cheek and tears welled up in her eyes as she cried pitifully, "Ava, you have the ability to do it, but you don't have the ability to admit it. I just spoke the truth, and now you're furious."

"I don't care how I look to others, but I'm telling you, the day will come when I'll reclaim what's owed to me from you!" Ava's voice was resolute as she pushed past her and walked quickly towards the registration counter.

As for what others thought, she couldn't care less.

She placed her prepared documents and samples on the table. "Hello, I'm here to register for the perfume competition."

But the person at the registration counter only gave her a cold glance and immediately said, "Miss, you hit someone in public, which is very detrimental to Prosperity Group's reputation. Our group automatically disqualifies people who behave rudely. Please step aside, the next person, please."

Ava's chest swelled with anger. When she turned her head, she met Tasha's smug face.

She couldn't help but regret that she hadn't been able to control her temper just now.

Tasha successfully registered under Ava’s scrutinizing gaze. The staff, seeing the red palm print on her face, reminded her with concern, "Do you want to go to the hospital?"

Tasha shook her head. "It's okay. It's not the first time anyway."

The eyes of the crowd fell on Ava again. They realized that she was a habitual offender and had definitely done this more than once, making them even more disgusted with her participation in the competition.

Tasha walked quickly to Ava and said with a smug smile, lowering her voice, "Tyrone belongs to me, and the championship can only be mine."
