Chapter 13 The Davis Family Doesn't Interest Me

Jeremy didn't know the relationship between the two and enthusiastically introduced them to each other "Cousin, this is my new friend, Ava Smith."

Ava's eyes shimmered as she confidently extended her hand to Ethan. "Cousin, hello, just call me Ava."

Ethan stood there with his hands in his pockets, his deep eyes lingering on Ava's sexy figure clad in a swimsuit. "Miss Smith, aren't you feeling cold wearing so little?"

His thin lips curled up in a sneer.

Ava touched her arm at his words. With the breeze blowing, she indeed felt a bit chilly after coming out of the water.

Jeremy immediately handed her a towel.

"Thank you." Ava smiled gratefully at him.

Ethan's face turned cold, his expression not very pleasant as he looked at Jeremy. "Do you have anything serious to do besides playing every day?"

"Cousin, spare me. If you want me to do those things for you, you might as well let me die." Jeremy grinned, occasionally making eye contact with Ava.

"Is that so? Do you want me to call your mother now?" Ethan took out his phone, about to dial, causing Jeremy's face to turn pale.

Jeremy said, "Cousin, please, don't tell on me. I haven't been out for so long, I just sneaked out for a day today."

Ethan said, "I'll count to three, 1, 2..."

"I'm leaving, I'm leaving." As he said, Jeremy turned to Ava. “Miss Smith, let me give you a ride back.”

Ethan said, “Doesn’t she have legs? Fuck off!”

Jeremy had always been afraid of Ethan. Seeing this, he didn't dare to delay and apologized with a remorseful expression before running off.

Ethan put away his phone and looked at the woman who was wiping herself with a towel. The wet swimsuit wrapped around her figure in a revealing manner, reminding him of the wild scene they had in the pool at the engagement party.

Ava's action of drying her hair paused, and she glanced at him askance. "Mr. Davis, do you also want a towel?"

She handed the towel to him generously.

Ethan's face suddenly darkened, and he walked towards her with steady steps. "Miss Smith seems to be in a good mood. Have you found a new lover so soon?"

Ava said, "Mr. Davis, your concerns are too broad.”

“Miss Smith, I suspect you of trying to get my attention again by being friends with my cousin, Do you want to…” Ethan suddenly hooked around her arm. His voice was low as he stared at her face. “Be Mrs. Davis?”

Ava smiled and pulled his arm away. “You are overthinking. The Davis family's status is beyond my reach."

She turned to leave but was once again stopped by Ethan. "Stop, have I allowed you to go?"

"And what else do you want?" Ava suddenly snapped.

Jeremy, who hadn't gone far, nearly tripped. He panicked and thought, ‘How dare Miss Smith talk to my cousin this way? Shoot, he is going to feed her to the sharks.’

He hurried back. "Cousin, I think I should personally escort Miss Smith home. She's my guest."

As Ethan was momentarily distracted, Jeremy shot a glance at Ava, then grabbed her hand and ran off.

As they were leaving, Ava glanced back unintentionally, meeting Ethan's almost ferocious gaze.

She thought, ‘If I knew that this was your territory, I would have never gone. I have just come to hang out, why is he so pissed?’

The more she thought about it, the more she felt that Ethan was more petty than she had expected.

Taking a deep breath, Ethan bit down hard on his back molars, feeling as if his chest was stuffed with cotton, incredibly frustrated.

He thought, ‘Very well, this woman dares to flaunt herself in front of me again. Does she think that I will never do anything to her?’

Staring at the azure pool water, Ethan’s gaze grew even deeper, a barely detectable smirk appearing at the corners of his lips, like a wild beast guarding its prey.
