Lily stared at Emily with so much hatred and anger. Emily wasn't even up to her level and the only reason why she had mingled with her was that she wanted to get information about Jack since Emily was the only artiste who had worked closely with Jack.

If she had known that it was going to cost her this much then she would never have even looked at Emily in the first place. Anyways, there was no need for her to get so worked up. Her brother had hired the best lawyer available while Cindy was just a small-time rookie.

She was going to win the case especially since there was a video that proved that Jack assaulted her. The only thing was that she wouldn't end up with him which was her goal in the first place.

It was his choice to go to jail so no one could blame her. Besides, if he went to Jail, Cindy wouldn't have him as well. That satisfaction was enough to mend her broken heart.

Emily took out her phone and gave it to Cindy. She already hated Lily from the moment she met her because Emily was too vain and wouldn't stop bragging about her family and her beauty.

She had merely put up with her because her brother was a renowned actor and Emily was hoping to get an opportunity to be featured in one of his movies.

However, when she heard Lily bragging about how she was going to make Jack hers. She had quickly turned on her phone recorder since her phone was in her hand. Although she didn't record everything Lily had said, what she had was still good enough.

She had made the recording, intending to send it anonymously to Cindy and tell her to watch her back and protect her man. She never expected that it would turn out to be so useful.

She felt so happy that she was able to do something nice for Jack and Cindy. Cindy accepted the recording, expressed her thanks, and gave the phone to the judge who in turn played the audio which had been paused.

It was a shirt audio but Lily's voice could be heard saying, "And I'm yet to see a man who can resist my charms. Mark my words girls, I'm going to make him mine sooner than later and the lady by his side cannot stop me."

Lily's attorney got up and said, "Your honor that cannot be the plaintiff's voice because she has told me that Emily isn't her friend and they never had such a conversation before."

The judge nodded and replied, " Do not worry, I will confirm the authenticity of this recording. Defense counsel, you can go on."

"Thank you your honor," Cindy replied. "Miss. Emily, you can step out of the witness box. Thank you very much. Now, I will like to ask Miss. Lily Belov a few questions."

Lily was surprised. She had thought that she would only be asked questions during the main trial. Not that she didn't know what to say, she had carefully and perfectly planned her lies but she wasn't expecting to be called out today.

She walked into the witness box and made an affirmation. After that, Cindy asked her, "Miss. Belov, please tell us, when Mr. Grant met you at the Blue Sky hotels, did he drink any alcohol, or were you the one who did?"

Lily had a pitiful expression on her face and acted like she was in pain. Tears fell from her eyes as she said, "I didn't take a sip, he drank all the alcohol."

Cindy smiled, "When you were in pain, did Mr. Grant really offer to help you or you asked for his help?"

"I never asked for his help," Lily replied.

Cindy smiled once again, "Have you ever asked Mr. Grant to marry you?"

Lily stared at Cindy in surprise as tears kept falling from her eyes, "What are you saying, Cindy? I know he is your boyfriend but how can you be so cruel despite being a woman? Are you trying to pay me back for what happened when we were kids?"

"Please, answer the question, Miss. Belov" Cindy replied as her eyes darkened.

"No, I would never do such a thing to a disgusting man like him," Lily responded.

Cindy nodded thoughtfully and said, "One more question Miss. Belov. Can you tell this honorable court why you felt the need to book a room one hour before you met with Mr. Grant?"

Lily broke down and began to cry while her attorney said, "Objection, your honor. The defense counsel's unnecessary questions are making my client relive her painful experience at the hands of a monster."

"Your honor, these questions are necessary to prove that Miss. Belov is nothing but a shameless liar who would go as far as defaming an innocent man just to get him for herself," Cindy argued.

The judge stared at Cindy and said, "Defense counsel, you can let Miss. Belov off the docks and proceed with whatever you have to say."

Lily's attorney went to the witness box and took her out while Cindy said, "Thank you, your honor. First of all, I am going to prove that my client Mr. Grant was not in a condition to have coitus with anyone.

My client suffers from insomnia every once in a while and uses Benzo pills to help him sleep. These pills have an adverse effect on him. They make him impotent for almost forty-eight hours meaning it is impossible for him to have sexual intercourse during that time.

On the thirteenth of June at about 8pm, me and Mr. Grant were on our way back from the celebrity party when I stopped at a pharmacy and bought some Benzo pills. I have the receipt here with me.

At about 11 pm, I fed Mr. Grant the Benzo pills because I knew he was meeting with Miss. Belov the next day and Miss. Emily had already warned me about her intentions toward Mr. Grant.

I didn't know what was going to happen but I didn't want to take chances because I have known Miss. Belov's character from childhood.

Your honor, a test that was conducted on Mr. Grant while he was locked up in the cell showed that he still had traces of the Benzo pills in his system and as such couldn't have assaulted Miss. Belov as she claims."

Cindy went over to her file and opened it. She walked closer to the judge and said, "Your honor, here is the receipt for the pills, Mr. Grant's medical history, and the result of the test that was carried out on him on the fifteenth of June at the police station."
