Cindy began, "First of all, I will like to inform this honorable court that my client, Mr. Jack Grant is a model Citizen who has never broken the law before. Yes, he has his excesses just like we all do but, he has never done anything illegal.

The accusation against him is not only false but preposterous, to say the least. The fact is that the complainant, Miss. Belov has had her eyes on my client for a long time.

She knew that he would never look at her because not only does my client have no interest in women who have gone under the knife, he has a girlfriend whom he loves more than anything else.

As for the allegation that he forces himself on his employees, I will now like to ask Miss. Drew a few questions. Miss. Drew please."

Jack's former secretary got up from her seat and entered got into the witness box. Cindy went closer to her and said, "You claimed that when you worked for Mr. Grant, he took you to his house under the pretext of working and you had no choice but to let him sleep with you.

Please tell us, when he took you to his house, did he threaten you? Did he say I will fire you if you don't have sex with me?"

"No, he did not," the secretary replied. "But he implied it because if I had said no, he would have fired me."

Cindy smiled, "Miss. Drew, you cannot assume what Mr. Grant had in mind."

"Objection your honor," Lily's attorney cut in. "The defense counsel's questions are unnecessary because what happened back then doesn't change what the accused has done to my client."

Cindy argued back, "Your honor, these questions are necessary to establish Mr. Grant's character and to show if he is capable of committing the crime he has been charged with."

The judge looked at Lily's attorney and said, "Overruled, go on Miss. Banks."

"Thank you, your honor," Cindy replied and continued, "Miss. Drew, when Mr. Grant tried to have his way with you did you reject his advances?"

"I wanted to but I was scared that..."

"Thank you Miss. Drew" Cindy cut in. "So the fact is that Mr. Grant took you home and made advances at you and you did not refuse him because you assumed he was going to fire you. I don't see any force here, all I see is that you were willing to sleep with your boss because you wanted a job.

For crying out loud, there are so many places you could have worked at, you said so yourself that you were already aware of his reputation so you cannot play the saint now and pretend that Mr. Grant forced himself on you. What happened between the both of you was mutually consensual.

As for firing you, the company records showed that in the one week you worked at Star Entertainment, you were absent for two days and went to work late almost every day.

You probably felt that you could do whatever you wanted because you were sleeping with the boss.

Your honor, we can clearly see that my client never forced himself on his secretary, nor did he threaten her. She willingly gave in to his advances, because she wanted to feel like the boss and act however she wanted but there are rules for employees at Star Entertainment and when Miss. Drew broke those rules, she was punished accordingly.

Yes, my client doesn't have a perfect sense of morality. He has his faults quite alright but he has never forced himself on any woman before and he has never committed any crime.

Now to prove that Miss. Belov plotted everything that happened, to force my client into marrying her, I'm going to call on Miss. Emily to tell us what the complainant personally said to her."

Emily was called to the witness box while Jack's former secretary went back to her seat. She felt quite ashamed because Cindy had humiliated her. She hated Cindy so much because she knew that she was Jack's new secretary and girlfriend.

She had wanted to insult Cindy when she kept asking her stupid questions but she was afraid because she did not want to end up behind bars.

Emily got into the witness box and made an affirmation under the instruction of the judge. After that Cindy said to her, "I am aware that you have a good relationship with the plaintiff and you two can be considered friends.

"That is correct," Emily replied.

"Thank you, Miss. Emily. Please tell us, has the plaintiff at any time whatsoever expressed her desire to have Mr. Grant as her own?"

"Yes, she has," Emily replied. "I am going to talk about what she said to me and another girl on the thirteenth of June. It was at a celebrity party and Mr. Grant had just walked in with his girlfriend when Miss Lily said,

'See who just came in, the CEO of Star entertainment agency. He is my dream man, so hot and sexy and I am going to make him mine. I've worked so hard just to get close to him.'

I told her that he already has a beautiful girlfriend so she should just forget about going after him.

But she said, "It doesn't matter. She isn't nearly as beautiful as I am and I'm yet to see a man who can resist my charms. Mark my words girls, I'm going to make him mine sooner than later and the lady by his side cannot stop me."

"Objection," Lily's attorney said as he got up. "Miss. Emily is an artist of Star Entertainment and will naturally support her boss so her statement is not reliable."

"Sustained," the judge replied. "Miss Emily, you cannot just tell us what the plaintiff said to you. We can't rely solely on that. Defense counsel, we need proof."

"I have proof your honor," Emily replied, surprising everyone including Cindy.

"Then I'll love to hear it," the judge replied.

Emily came out of the witness box and went to where she kept her bag while Cindy walked over to Jack and said, "Emily never told me that she has proof of her conversation with Lily. At this point, the case is already in our favor so we might as well go all in."

Jack stared at her in surprise, "Are you saying you want to end everything today?"

"Why not Jack? I guess it's best this way. Let's just get it over with."
