Chapter 41

Chapter 41

Dorian stood tall with his chest out and answered firmly, "Yes, what do you want with my mommy?"

Scarlett was shocked.

She could hardly believe that Ella had two children this big.

And although they looked small, they spoke clearly and moved quickly - they were obviously around two or three years old.

So Ella was already pregnant when she went abroad back then?

Were these two children Joshua's?

Scarlett stood there frozen, thinking back to four years ago when she had someone drug Ella.

She had thought that when the drug took effect, Ella would have sex with Samuel who was helping her back to her room, but unexpectedly Samuel left right after taking her to the room.

When she went to take photos of Ella sleeping with a man as evidence, she saw that the man beneath Ella was Joshua.

She hadn't expected Joshua to enter Ella's room.

She hadn't expected her plan to backfire and bring them together.

But fortunately, Ella ran away after waking up.

So when Joshua woke up and saw her, he thought she was the one he'd slept with.

She had admitted to it at the time.

After that, Joshua said he would take responsibility for her and brought her back to the Thomas family.

But the Thomas family strongly opposed them being together.

To make herself excellent so the Thomas family would see her differently and everyone would think she was worthy of Joshua.

After Ella went abroad to study, she also chose to go abroad for further education.

She had thought that when she returned more accomplished, the Thomas family would agree to let her be with Joshua.

She never expected that Joshua had already gotten a marriage certificate with Ella.

Was it because of these two children that Joshua was unwilling to divorce?

Scarlett really couldn't accept that the man she had waited for ten years had married someone else and had a pair of children with that person.

What right did Ella have?

They were both orphans.

Why was Ella luckier than her?

Scarlett was so angry she was about to go crazy.

Especially looking at the two children in front of her who bore some resemblance to Joshua, she felt such hatred that she really wanted to kill them.

Scarlett suppressed that hatred, took out her phone and pretended to make a call.

In reality, she took photos of the two children, then turned and left.

Sitting back in her car, Scarlett pulled out her phone and instructed the person on the other end, "You must get rid of that person for me as soon as possible. If you can't do it, I'm sending you a photo - go after the children instead."

Ella spent the whole morning at the hospital.

After getting the results, she drove home.

But halfway there, Brian called and told her to come to the company after her appointment.

Ella had no choice but to have Karen go back first while she took the results to the company.

When she arrived, Joshua was alone in the office.

Ella handed him the test results and honestly said, "I didn't fake anything. The test results show fallopian tube lesions and ovulation problems."

Joshua sat in his executive chair in a dark suit, proud and composed.

He glanced at the report beside him without much concern.

Just moments ago, Karen had already called to report the results to him.

She said it could be treated slowly, but when it could be cured was uncertain.

It could be several years, or possibly never.

So Ella would never be able to give birth to the Thomas family bloodline.

Joshua buried his head back in his work and coldly replied, "Take it away."

Ella picked up the report. Seeing how unhappy he looked, she lowered her head and said, "If you're unwilling to divorce, I'll educate the children well, and when they grow up, they'll be good to you too."

She now had children, Joshua didn't.

But they were husband and wife, so naturally he was unhappy.

If Joshua was willing to treat her children as his own, she would naturally teach the children to respect him like a biological father.

But Joshua had never thought about having a future with Ella.

He stared at her expressionlessly, "I told you, if Grandpa passes away, I'll divorce you."

"Ella, even if I allow you to keep those two children under my nose, I'm telling you, I will never accept them."

They were someone else's children - how could Joshua possibly accept them?

Since Ella couldn't have children anymore, he would let her go when the time came.

Ella suddenly felt a sharp pain in her heart. She forced a smile, nodded and replied, "Okay, we'll do as you say."

She wanted to go back and be with her children.

But Joshua didn't want to let her off so easily and ordered, "Go downstairs and get me some dessert."

Ella thought she had heard wrong and turned to look at Joshua. "It's almost time to get off work - you're not going home for dinner but eating dessert instead?"

Besides, Joshua didn't even like sweets.

Wasn't he just making trouble for no reason?

"Are you questioning me?"

Joshua looked at Ella coldly.

If he didn't give her something to do, he felt uncomfortable.

After all, during this time he still had to support her two children, and just thinking about it made him depressed.

"Fine, I'll go buy it."

Ella put down her computer and got up to leave.

As soon as she left, Joshua also packed up and left work.

When Ella returned to the office with the dessert, Joshua was already gone.

She called him and learned he was already in his car.

Ella gritted her teeth and had to carry the dessert to the parking lot.

When she got in the car, she saw Joshua had already taken the back seat. She handed him the dessert and said irritably, "Eat up, hope it's sweet enough to kill you."

Then she drove off.

Joshua didn't really want to eat dessert.

He hated sweet things the most.

He tossed it aside and ignored it, leaning back in his seat with his eyes closed to rest.

After a while, his phone rang.

It was Scarlett's number.

Joshua put the phone to his ear, and soon opened his eyes to look at Ella who was driving.

"Go to the hospital."

Ella thought Joshua still didn't believe her results and wanted to go to the hospital to ask himself.

Although she felt hurt, she obediently drove the car to the hospital.

After arriving at the hospital, Joshua got out and instructed, "Wait here for me. Don't leave no matter how late it gets until I come back."

Ella didn't give him a pleasant look and reminded him sarcastically. "Go ahead, better ask clearly, so you don't think I'm deceiving you again."

Joshua knew what she was referring to but didn't respond, turning to enter the hospital.

He was going to see Scarlett.

He didn't know why she was so delicate - getting hospitalized over a sprained ankle.

Ella sat in the car, bored, and was about to call to check on the children.

Then Patricia's call came through.

Ella answered and spoke first, "What's wrong Patricia, did they hide again and you can't find them?"

Aurora and Dorian loved playing hide and seek the most.

They often hid around the house, driving Patricia crazy trying to find them.

Ella figured that Patricia was calling at this time because she couldn't find the children again.

Patricia said anxiously, "Yes, I don't know where Aurora is hiding. I've searched the entire villa and can't find her."

Ella wasn't worried and patiently said, "Look around some more. The house here is bigger than the one before, so she's probably hidden somewhere more concealed."

Patricia's phone was taken by Dorian, who said in a crying voice, "Mommy, we really can't find Aurora. Please come back, okay?"
