Chapter 118
Flora?
Everyone looked at Mason, having no idea what he was talking about.
But he was actually with Scarlett.
The elders all disagreed, standing up one by one to object.
"Mason, this is outrageous. Scarlett is your sister. How could you have an affair with her?"
"You've offended the Thomas family. Can you handle the consequences?"
"Don't try to fool your parents. Flora has been gone for years. Where are you going to find her?"
"You boy, stop upsetting your parents. Hurry up and bring Scarlett back, and tell everyone what's really going on."
Everyone talked over each other, not believing a word Mason said.
Mason couldn't out-talk all of them.
Seeing Heath and Rhea so upset about the wedding that they were about to faint, he stepped forward and handed them a test report.
It was done using the hair Ella gave him, and he had taken Heath's hair again for testing.
The results showed that Ella was indeed his sister.
Heath took the report.
Seeing his and Ella's names on it, and reading that the tested parties were consistent with a biological father-daughter relationship, he quickly handed the report to Rhea.
Rhea was shocked when she saw Ella's name.
She passed the report to the relatives nearby and looked at Mason, "Mason, did you get Ella to help you deceive us? How could you lie to your mother about this too?"
Flora's disappearance had always been Rhea's pain.
She had always suspected that Scarlett deliberately lost Flora when she took her out that day.
So all these years she hadn't been good to Scarlett.
But Mason always spoke up for Scarlett, so she reluctantly let Scarlett stay in the Lewis family.
Twenty years had passed, and there wasn't a day she didn't think about Flora.
Now Mason was actually using Ella to put on an act, just to get them to accept him and Scarlett.
It was too much.
"That's right, Mason. How could you use Flora to deceive your mother? You know she misses Flora—it's her lifelong pain. This is completely unacceptable."
The elders began scolding Mason again.
Flora was the only girl in the Lewis family.
Since Flora went missing, this huge family hadn't been able to produce another daughter.
Whenever the Lewis family mentioned it, they felt heartbroken and sad.
Mason felt helpless and patiently explained, "How would I dare deceive everyone about something like this? I really found Flora. She's Ella, who lived with the Thomas family for five years."
"Actually, I didn't find her—Ella and I have the same key. She grew up without parents and suspected we were related. After she accidentally met Mother in a car incident, she did a test with Mother herself."
"Mom, Dad, I also did a test with you and Ella. The results show she really is your daughter. I didn't ask her to help me put on an act."
Heath was still studying the report.
From his experience, this report didn't look fake.
He looked at Rhea, his voice trembling, "This report is real. Didn't you tell me before that you had a special feeling about Ella? Maybe she really is..."
When Rhea heard this, tears burst from her eyes. Excited, she quickly looked at Mason, "Go bring her here right now, and that child of hers too. I need to ask her how she's been all these years."
If Ella really was her daughter, thinking about how she had just lost a child and divorced Joshua, and they had arranged for Scarlett to marry Joshua, how could they face Ella?
Rhea suddenly felt scared—scared that Ella wouldn't recognize them, wouldn't want to come back to this family.
"Okay, I'll go get her right away."
Knowing that Heath and Rhea were too preoccupied with Ella's situation to worry about him and Scarlett, Mason left first to pick up Ella and her son. After Scarlett stayed outside for a while, he would ask his family for their blessing.
Ella brought Dorian back to Zachary's place. Zachary told her, "Scarlett and Joshua's wedding was canceled. Joshua canceled it unilaterally. He left everyone behind and walked away. No one knows where he went."
The wedding had made the news and become the talk of the town.
Ella remained silent.
She knew Joshua had gone to find her and asked her to return to Tranquil Villa.
Now that she couldn't use Joshua to get revenge on Scarlett, she needed to change tactics and use the Lewis family instead.
Perhaps what Scarlett cared about more was still the Lewis family.
If she returned to the Lewis family, Scarlett would be furious.
So she didn't need to deal with Joshua anymore.
"That bad guy came to find me and Mom. I even hit him."
Dorian chimed in from the side, "Mom hit him too. You don't know—we really told him off."
Zachary looked puzzled, staring at Ella, "So Joshua canceled the wedding and left everyone to find you? What did he say to you?"
He suddenly felt a sense of crisis.
He was afraid that if Joshua turned around, Ella would be won over by him.
He was afraid Ella would forget Aurora's death and fall in love with Joshua again.
Ella told the truth, "He asked me to return to Tranquil Villa. I don't need to use him anymore. I don't want to have anything to do with him ever again."
Thinking of her decision, she told Zachary, "If Mason comes to find me, I might go back to the Lewis family with him."
Actually, besides getting revenge on Scarlett, Ella did want to get to know her parents a bit.
She had grown up with Finn since childhood and really wanted to know why Finn never told her about her identity.
Zachary supported her, "That's your home anyway. It's natural for you to go back. But after dealing with Scarlett, will you still be willing to leave with me and Dorian?"
Zachary didn't want to force Ella to do something she didn't want to do.
But he was from Eldoria after all, and would have to leave sooner or later.
Yet he couldn't let go of Ella.
Zachary was really afraid that once Ella had her own family, she wouldn't want to leave with him.
Ella considered it.
Seeing the disappointment on Zachary's face, she made him a promise, "Yes, once I get Scarlett into prison, I'll leave with you and Dorian."
After all, she hadn't grown up in the Lewis family.
She had no feelings for Heath and Rhea either.
After getting her revenge, she would leave with Dorian.
Ella picked up Dorian and sat him on her lap, asking him, "Dorian, do you want to go back to Eldoria with Zachary?"
Dorian nodded, speaking innocently, "Yes, I'm very happy with Mr. Baker. It would be even better if Mom could become Mr. Baker's wife and let me call him Dad."
With those words, both adults felt awkward.
Seeing Ella stay silent, Zachary picked up Dorian and went along with what he said, "You'll get to call me that eventually. In the future, our Dorian will be the happiest child in the world."
Too bad Aurora wasn't here anymore.
Thinking that Ella would be sad, Zachary felt upset too.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
Zachary put down Dorian and went to open the door.
It was Mason.
