Chapter 79 The Angel King's Revenge
Chapter 79 The Angel King's Revenge
BELLA'S POV
I guess this is how my first life ends. With my shocked family watching as my soul unwillingly departs.
"Pull . . .it out . . . please!" I plead with Hayden. I am dying, but I don't want to close my eyes with that sword still in my chest.
Usher aimed for my heart and there is no way I can survive. She finally succeeded to kill me, she has won.
West picks up a crying Skylar and carries him away. Poor kid may never forget this appalling scene. At least West is wise to take him away.
Hayden's horror stricken eyes fill with tears as he takes hold of the sword and pulls it out of my chest. The pain is excruciating and I have to bite my lower lip hard so I don't scream.
I want to be strong for the sake of my mate and family even in the last seconds of my life.
Hayden puts pressure on the wound with his hands in a desperate move to save me. I am sure he knows I can't survive, he is simply refusing to accept it.
"Take . . .care of . . . Skylar for . . . me ple . . ." My throat gets totally blocked by blood that is flowing into my mouth and nose.
Hayden looks down at me with tears flowing from his eyes. He takes my hand and places a peck on my palm. His jaws clench with pain and anger as he stares down at me.
His heart is beating so hard that I can hear it. I reach out my hand and wipe away the tears on his cheeks. The move takes a million tonnes of effort.
I have had a tougher life than many. But I am proud of every decision I have made. I am glad I have always prioritized the welfare of others even though my life has ended so soon.
I can only trust that Hayden will look after my family with love and dedication. Because from now on, there isn't a thing I can help solve for them.
If I will be born again, I won't grow up fast enough to still look after them. But I will find Hayden and we will love again.
Images in front of me starts to fade away. "I will wait for you to come back . . .even if it takes a millennia." I hear Hayden whisper in my hear before everything becomes darkness.
USHER'S POV
My heart fill with dread as I watch Hayden mourn his dead mate. The pain makes his hands shake. He clutches the lifeless body of my sister hard against his chest.
"Nooooo!!!" His scream is as loud as thunder, the room shake.
I didn't think he would get this upset. I had anticipated a less intense reaction.
There are hundreds of eyes glaring at me, all seething with anger.
Someone throws a glass at me, I easily dodge. But more come and I can't evade them all. It's like they are all afraid of a direct, fist fight with me so they are throwing things at me. Someone even hurls a bread knife. I lean back slightly and it passes me.
I need to get out of here, but people are all around me, blocking every path.
I see Hayden slowly lower the body of my sister down to the floor, his eyes close momentarily as he pecks her forehead.
Her little family surround her, her mother weeps hysterically.
I take a step back when Hayden reaches for the sword he just pulled out of his mate's body.
He stands and his glowing eyes focus solemnly on me.
My whole body trembles with fear. I don't think the overwhelming anger is allowing him to think properly.
If he kills me, he will live a lonely life without a wife or children. He doesn't seem to have realized the consequences of revenging his mate right away.
I would have flew away if we were not inside a room with a roof. The crowd surrounding us has also made sure I have no space to run. My heart beat picks up speed.
When he takes a step forward, I hastily turn to run but immediately stumble and fall.
"Kill her! Kill the devil" The crowd shouts. He would be very stupid to follow their advise. All they want is too see him punish me, but who will he be with after that?
"Hayden . . . I am so sorry!" I say in an attempt to calm him down. "I love you . . . I am sorry I killed my sister, but it's was because I wasn't ready to give you up!" I plead with him but I can see he is too mad to hear a single word.
I try to crawl away as he marches forward, the golden blade tightly grasped by his right hand.
I think I may be terrified to a point of losing the ability to control my limbs or he is moving very fast.
I make an effort to crawl away from him but feel him step hard on my foot. I cry out as it feels like he may have broken a bone.
I stop crawling and look up at his angry face. My eyes go wide as I see him bring down the sword towards me.
I stupidly try to shield myself with my hands. The sword slices right through my palm. I scream as the pain is unbearable.
He pulls the sword up again and the pain is even more intense. I panic as I have never seen so much blood flow from a wound on my body.
"Please . . .stop!" I beg. He doesn't seem to care as he thrusts the swords downwards again.
I don't attempt to put my hands forward again to shield the rest of my body. The weapon enters my neck and I hear the faint sound of bones separating as the front end finds it's way out through the other side.
"He has killed me!" I think as my brain starts to panic.
"N . . .!" I try to scream but no words come out. Hayden stands glaring down at me as I gasp for breath.
The crowd of people that had surrounded me now steps closer, glad to watch me die.
My mother comes to kneel beside me, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I warned you that there is no good that would come from your selfish actions!" She mutters in a voice filled with sorrow.
I can't believe those are the words she is saying to me when I am taking my last breathe. Have I been that awful?
I wish I can tell her that I am sorry for all the mistakes. But I can't even breathe!
She affectionately sweeps back the stands of my hair that are covering parts of my face. I wish I can hold her and not let go. But I know this is the end. I killed my sister and now I am dead as well.
I wonder if Goddess Israel would forgive the kind of things I have done.
