Chapter 44 Punishing Andrew?

Chapter 44 Punishing Andrew?
The bird flew away as I opened the door for Andrew. Andrew's eyes looked sad; he knelt before me and apologized.
"It was all a misunderstanding; it was all a mistake. I'm under the influence of alcohol, thinking the person sleeping with me is you. But when the door opened and you were there, I finally realized." Andrew spoke with regret, and as he said it, he didn't dare to look me in the face; he truly felt guilty.
"Get up, I'm fine." Only when I said that did Andrew get up.
"Are you really okay?" What kind of question is that? No good wife would be okay with seeing her husband sleeping with another woman. Unless his wife no longer has any feelings for her husband, so why can't Andrew understand this?
"Yes. Don't bring that up again. Please return to your room." I was just about to close the door, but Andrew stopped me.
"You must be angry; I'm sure you're angry." Andrew didn't want to leave before getting a sincere apology. Even though I said it sincerely, I'm fine. Just a little disgusted.
"I'm serious. I just feel a little disgusted, so next time please lock the door, okay?" I smiled at Andrew. The first genuine smile after our feud and separation. Then I managed to close my bedroom door.
Andrew was still banging on the door, repeatedly apologizing until I had to cover my ears with my hands because I didn't want to hear it.
Until an hour had passed, Andrew's weak voice was still audible at my bedroom door. However, I completely ignored it and was able to sleep soundly at three in the morning.
The next morning I woke up quite late; it was already nine o'clock in the morning, and I had just woken up. After I looked at the clock, I realized there were noises in front of my room.I got up to listen closer, and it sounded like Andrew's voice with his maids.
"Sir, you must go have breakfast. I beg you, sir." The female maid's voice sounded quite soft.
"No, you all go. I won't leave until Matilda comes out and forgives me," Andrew said.
"You look very tired, sir. You should clean up, eat, and sleep comfortably in your room." The maid tried to persuade Andrew again.
"I told you no! I'm not going!" This time, it was Andrew who got annoyed and started speaking in a loud voice.
"If that's the case, I'll call Mrs. Matilda to have breakfast together. That way, you can have breakfast with her." The maid gave an idea, but Andrew remained silent, as if he was hesitant to agree.
"Mrs. Matilda. It's time for breakfast. The maid knocked on the door and spoke quite loudly."
"Don't be too loud; Matilda might still be sleeping." Andrew asked his maid to lower her voice.
"If I lower my voice, how will she hear me, sir?" asked the maid.
I'm holding myself back from going out. I should probably just stay inside, but the longer the maid's voice goes on, the more restless it makes me. She was just trying to get her master to go eat, and since it was up to me, the maid worked hard to persuade me.
I'm pacing back and forth in the room. Should I go have breakfast and try to convince Andrew to eat too? But seeing him reminds me of Andrew's disgusting activities with Lucy last night.
I waited for three minutes to make a decision, even though the maid's voice outside was still trying to persuade me to have breakfast.
"Come on, she doesn't want to come out. I'll wait for her to open the door here." Andrew, who gave up first, seemed to have sat under my bedroom door and waited for me all night.
Damn it, why do I have to feel sorry for him?
"I'm going to take a shower and come downstairs in a few minutes." I shouted a little so the maid outside and Andrew could hear me. I hope Andrew leaves the front of my door, because it's very uncomfortable for both him and me.
Without waiting for their response, I went to the bathroom and cleaned myself. I don't remember when I put so many new clothes in my wardrobe; suddenly the wardrobe was filled with a lot of new clothes.
I chose one of the simple dresses and did my makeup as usual before going downstairs. I'm grateful that when I opened the door to my room, Andrew wasn't there. I'm sure he's already at the dinner table now.
Before I went down completely, I saw Lucy's bedroom door tightly closed. I don't know what happened to her and Andrew last night after that incident. However, Lucy seemed calm in her room, not as noisy as usual. But maybe Lucy is at the dining table now, released and about to join them for dinner as the second Andrew-to-be?
When I arrived at the dining room, Lucy wasn't there. Only Andrew was sitting there, looking like he had just showered, with his clothes and hair still disheveled. When he saw me, he smiled and smoothed his hair.
"I rushed here because I was worried you were already waiting for me. I didn't have time to comb my hair and came straight here," said Andrew. I just gave him a smile and sat down. So I didn't show any emotion after seeing what happened last night. I wanted him to see that I was numb to him and didn't care who he was with now.
"Eat a lot; today's menu is all your favorite foods." Andrew filled my plate so full.
"Enough, Andrew!" I snapped at him without thinking. Andrew fell silent, his hands hovering over my plate as he was about to place the ebi furai there, but he stopped because of my shout. Andrew stood frozen and stared at me in surprise.
"I mean, I can't possibly eat all of it. My plate is too full." Andrew swallowed, putting back the ebi furai he was about to put on my plate.
"If that's the case, you can put back the food you don't want to eat." Andrew allowed me to return the food that was already on my plate. And I followed him as a sign that I wouldn't accept everything, hoping this little thing would hurt his feelings a little.
"Why isn't Lucy eating with us? Didn't you two make up?" I asked Andrew between bites of our meal.
"I locked it again. This is her punishment for daring to take advantage of my drunken state." Andrew brought up his innocence again, claiming he was drunk.
"When will she be released? She's been in her room for weeks," I said.
"At least until Sarah Olsen's joint hearing is over. So she doesn't make any more noise," Andrew replied. He ate calmly, thinking I had already forgiven and forgotten what happened last night.
"When is the joint hearing with Sarah Olsen being held?"
"On Monday," Andrew said curtly, meaning four more days, and I don't know what Sarah Olsen's next plan is after I give her the cooperation agreement.
