Chapter 32 Me Vs Lucy
Chapter 32 Me Vs Lucy
Lucy released her grip on her hand, rolled her eyes, and folded her arms across her chest. "This is your new house, right? You need to know which parts you shouldn't go to carelessly, even though you're the mistress here."
"That's right, this is the house of an entrepreneur, a famous CEO. Why is there a detention area inside?" I asked, but I didn't wait for the answer; I left Lucy there.
This time I really can't find a way to meet Collin. It seems I'll have to be a little patient if I don't want to be found out by anyone. Lucky Lucy didn't know that Collin was actually in the holding cell. If Andrew had caught me, he would have definitely guessed why I went to the holding cell.
I returned to my room empty-handed, while the contents of my head kept thinking about how to meet Collin. It's impossible for me to fight Andrew's men one-on-one, because that would cause chaos. Not to mention Lucy will definitely be watching my every move while I'm here.
As I was daydreaming on my room's balcony, I suddenly saw a man jumping over the fence of this house. I'm trying to see it more clearly before reporting it to anyone.
However, I was surprised when the man turned out to be running toward me and jumped over the balcony of this room. One hand covered my mouth; our eyes met, but I couldn't be sure who he was because black cloth covered his mouth.
He pushed me back into the room, bravely cornering me against the wall. At that moment, I could no longer hold back; I twisted his arm behind him until he stumbled to the floor.
"Who are you?" I asked firmly.
"It's me. Let go of my hand first." I paused for a moment, trying to remember whose voice it was. Because he used cloth to cover his mouth and nose, his voice was also muffled.
I didn't give him a chance at all; instead, I pressed my hand even harder against his back.
"Is this how you treat your teacher?" That question immediately made my eyes widen. Now I remember who the voice belongs to, and I quickly let go.
"Anthony?" I asked softly, and only then did the man remove the cloth covering his mouth.
"Yes, this is me. I'm great at finding you, aren't I?" Anthony smiled proudly; in such a critical and guarded situation, Anthony could still joke.
How did you get here? I spoke softly, pulling Anthony away from the open balcony of my room, worried that Andrew's men might see him from below.
"I'm following you. Actually, I've been waiting for you to come out so I'd know which room you were in," Anthony said.
"Really? What about the villagers? I left them battered and bruised, and construction wasn't even thirty percent complete."
"They're actually worried about you; that's why I'm here. All of this is their command." Anthony's words made me sad; I should have met these good people earlier than I met Andrew.
"You must live well and comfortably, just like before. Don't worry about me anymore; I think the martial arts you taught me are enough for me to take care of myself. Deliver this message of mine to all the villagers, and you don't need to come here again. I don't want you in danger." I turned my face away, gently dismissing Anthony from here.
"Even if I leave, I will return. My students are here; I can't possibly leave them." And Anthony insisted on getting involved.
"Where's Collin?" he asked.
"Put into the detention room, I don't know how to find him; there are too many guards, not to mention Lucy is also staying here, and that makes my every move watched by her," I said.
"Why does a wealthy businessman have a holding cell? Is he a businessman or an evil mafia boss?" Anthony's question was actually my question too when Andrew first said there was a detention room here.
"I'm curious too. Why does he need a holding cell?"
"Let's do this; I'll come another time. Your only task is to find out which holding cell Collin is in. You just need to tell me where he is when we meet again and let me take Collin away." I nodded in understanding, and at that moment Anthony put his face covering back on.
"The ground floor is in the hallway on the right, but I haven't gone in yet. I'll make sure of it later." Anthony nodded, holding my shoulder as a farewell before leaving again through my room's balcony. Just like when he came here, he jumped nimbly. And I made sure he could really get through the gate from a distance.
Luckily, Anthony was able to get through it safely. The crew seemed quite tired and sleepy, so they weren't patrolling.
I didn't hide my sense of calm when I knew Anthony was aware of my presence. After Collin was kicked out by Anthony, maybe they can start planning to get me out of here. I feel like I have hope again.
Thanks to Anthony, I was finally able to rest peacefully that night.
The next morning at the dining table, our family grew. Lucy sat across from me, while Andrew was next to us. This position made it seem like Andrew had two wives, and Lucy served him well and pampered him, which made me giggle on the spot.
"Lucy is your secretary, right? It's a pity that she has to work as a maid as well." I don't know where the courage came from, but I started liking to attack first. It seems the martial arts skills Anthony taught me have made me too arrogant.
"Are you jealous, darling?" Andrew teased me instead. But when I saw Lucy's jealous look at me, I felt challenged to tease her.
"Didn't you say I was the lady of the house here? We are legally married, registered in the religious and state courts." I put a piece of meat in my mouth, with a few words that reminded Lucy that we were indeed legally married.
"But someone insisted they got divorced yesterday. Now I suddenly want to be recognized again." The words came boldly from Lucy's mouth, and she even rolled her eyes in mockery.
"I didn't want to be recognized, but your master here dragged me back to him." I warned her, and this successfully made Andrew throw his fork onto the table in anger.
"Can't you two be quiet while eating? Matilda, Lucy is my secretary, which means she is my subordinate. If she serves me, that's natural because she's my subordinate. And Lucy, you should understand Matilda's jealousy; she's my wife, and I belong to her." Lucy stood silent, while I smiled inwardly.
"I think Andrew explained that status well. Don't let anyone feel like they're the best and the most knowledgeable, and forbid me as if you're the mistress here." I said it sarcastically and bluntly, while Lucy could only grip her fork and knife with emotion.
"Very well, madam, I will remember this," Lucy said reluctantly.
