You need to talk Damon
The door opened and Harry walked into the room. Chase immediately stood up, stretched and approached the giant vampire.
"So this is where my cat has been sneaking around too "I said as Chase moved between Harry's legs , begging for his attention.
"I don't know why he complained." I hate cats.
He leaned over to pet Chase between the ears, making my cat purr in seconds as he reached his sweet spot.
"Sure did," I said with a chuckle. It was amusing to watch the teddy bear-like man pay attention to my furry ball of cat. Especially since he was doing it with a scowl.
He snorted and moved further into the room, with Chase at his heels.
"Any news?" I asked as Harry sat down across from me.
"Not yet. "Chase jumped up and sat on his lap, much to his chagrin. He muttered something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like 'fucking hairball.'
Is she always like this
Jim, does he always wait for her?

"Maybe " Harry replied .
I was a little nervous about how I felt about it. Damon was doing who knows what, while I waited patiently at home, trying not to sit idly by and worry until I got an ulcer. What if he came back with a hole in his stomach? What if he didn't come back this time? And then what?
I ran my hand through my hair, tugging a little at the strands to ground my thoughts and keep them from spinning.
Can I ask you something? If it's too personal, don't worry, I'll-
"Hanna " Harry interrupted with a raised eyebrow and a warm smile. "Ask me anything you want. If I don't like the question, I'll tell you."
Fine. Okay. "Uh... how do you become a vampire?"
Harry froze for a moment, his hand hovering over Chase . "Why do you want to know?"
"I'm just curious, I guess. " I shrugged, trying to sound calm, though inside I was dying to know.
"I can't answer that for you, Harry . You need to talk to Damon."
"Oh. "I tried not to be disappointed, but I don't think I succeeded.
What I will say is that you have options. You don't have to become a vampire to stay in a relationship with one. And besides, you don't have to make any decisions now. You just met the guy and found out that vampires exist.
I was right. I knew, I guess I just wanted all the answers right away. "What about folklore and legends, are they true?"
He chuckled. "Which ones?"
"A crucifix?"
"No. It has no effect."
"Garlic?"
"I can't cook without it."
"Holy water?"
"I could bathe in it every day if I wanted to."
I leaned forward and lowered my voice to a whisper. "Blades under the sun?"
"No way!"he said with a deep chuckle. "It's totally ridiculous!"
"Thank God." I wasn't sure I could live with that if it were true.
The only way to kill a vampire is to cut off our heads or shoot us in the heart with a silver bullet. That won't kill us alone, but it will give you a chance to get close enough to cut off our heads.

I had always made good decisions. I studied hard, worked hard and, when I had the opportunity, I had a lot of fun. I just didn't party much. With my job at the hospital, I didn't have time to do much of anything but sleep. And it was usually Mery who would get me out of my mind so I could let loose once in a while. But Damon...it made me want to tell the world to go fuck itself. That I was jumping off the cliff into the unknown, hoping I wouldn't crash and burn when I hit bottom.
