Sophia's POV.
“Mr Hayes.” Finally, I spoke, breaking the awkward tension. He didn't say anything, just kept looking at Colin.
“Uhh, Colin, this is Mr Hayes my boss and Mr Hayes, this is Colin, a friend.” Colin brought his hands forward and shook hands with Mr Hayes.
“It's nice to meet you” Colin spoke while he just looked at him angrily.
“Ms. O'Brien.” He called my name angrily and I shivered. I had never really experienced anyone's wrath before and that was the reason I was so afraid to reply to him or even look in his eyes.
“Follow me.” He ordered and my eyebrows knitted in confusion.
I glanced at Colin who seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but here.
“Right now!” I could feel the tears prickle in the corner of my eyes.
I gave him a slight nod and turned to look at Colin with an apologetic look on my face. He seemed to understand my silent plea and said “It's okay. Don't worry about it. I'll let Steph know you left.”
“Thank you,” I said before leaving with Mr Hayes.
He stopped near a black Lamborghini and opened the door for me to get inside. Chivalry still exists indeed.
“Urm, Mr. Hayes, where are we going?” I asked him once he sat in the driver's seat. He started the engine and the car roared to life.
“My apartment,” he responded.
My eyebrows rose and I looked at him in confusion and surprise.
“Why?” My question seemed to annoy him more because he tightened his grip on the steering wheel, his knuckles turning white.
“Quit talking” he said.
I zipped my mouth shut instantly. I don't know what I did to make him angry but one thing I was sure of was that I didn't want him to get more angry.
After fifteen minutes of awkward silence and a small walk to the elevator, we reached his apartment. He unlocked the door and headed inside.
I followed him and closed the door behind me. With every passing second, my nervousness increased and an uneasy feeling arose in the pit of my stomach.
Just then, he turned around and started walking towards me.
“Urm, Mr Hayes?” He didn't say anything, just kept on walking towards me. With every step he took forward, I took a step backwards. Suddenly I felt dejávu.
The scene from the office appeared in my mind and my cheeks instantly turned red. I was saved by a knock in his office but now I have nowhere to go.
I don't know why he makes me feel like this. Butterflies started erupting in my stomach and my brain stopped working.
Just as I was about to take another step backwards, I realized that there was a wall behind and once again, I was trapped between him and a wall.
First a desk and now a wall!
He placed one of his hands on the wall and with the other, he pulled me towards his body.
“Who was he?” He asked, anger dripping down every word. His hand on my waist was making it hard for me to think or speak.
“I—t–told you, he's just–just a friend.”
He chuckled, humourless and he brought me even closer.
There was not even an inch of space between us. My body was completely flushed against his and I could feel his abs.
“Don't lie to me, Sophia.” With that, he brought his face to the crook of my neck.
He called me Sophia! Not Ms. O'brien! Just Sophia and once again, my brain was stuck thinking about how amazing my name sounds from his mouth.

Alex's POV.
The surprise I felt at seeing Sophia, was soon replaced with anger at seeing her dancing and laughing with another man.
It was anger like I had never felt before.
I should be the only one touching her like that and making her laugh that way.
Now, with her body so close to mine, I lost all sense of reasoning as I placed soft kisses on her neck.
She moaned. How I missed her moans.
“I'm not lying.” She muttered breathlessly.
I should have let this go but I was too jealous and angry too. “He's your boyfriend isn't he?” I asked, dreading the answer. “Just a friend I met today.” She admitted.
“Lying once again, I see.”
“I swear, he is just a friend I met today.”
“Well, we'll see about that sweetheart.” With that said, I pressed my lips to hers and kissed her passionately.
I noticed her restraint.
“Kiss me, Sophia”.

Sophia's POV.
My boss was kissing me again!
This is not right! We shouldn't be doing this again. Hell! He was not supposed to ever kiss me.
He is my boss and the only relationship that could ever happen between us was a professional one.
I tried to push him but he pulled me tight against his body. His grip on my waist tightened and a gasp escaped from my mouth.
He took this opportunity to slip his tongue inside my mouth to explore it.
He sucked on my bottom lip and before I could think of anything, I bit him, hard.
My hands flew over to my mouth, shocked at what I did.
I didn't understand why he was so angry at seeing me with Colin. Colin was just someone I met today and he didn't want to believe it.
What does he want me to say then? I was telling the truth and yet he thought that I was lying.
How was I supposed to make him believe that I was not lying?
He glared at me with fiery eyes, with his fingers on his lips.
How do I explain to him that I could never be in a relationship with someone I just met? But then, he said something that completely shocked me.
“I want you to make reports of the company's progress for the past ten years and also prepare the presentation of the meeting with Mr Shein.”
“But it's the weekend and the meeting with Mr Shein is not until Wednesday.” I shrugged.
“So?” he fumed.
You never said anything about working off hours— I wanted to say but kept my mouth shut. Is this his way of punishing me? I pondered.
“All the files and reports are in the second room to your left,” he added.
I'm supposed to work here?! At his house?
Before I could ask him anything, he was gone.
I reluctantly made my way towards the room and searched for all the files that I needed.
He had given me work which would take close to three days to complete, during office hours of course. I sighed and sat on the table with heaps and heaps of paper around me.
I took off my heels and kept them aside. After that, I sent a quick text to Steph letting her know that I won't be coming home tonight.
I looked at the heaps of paper around me, certain that if imagination could kill, then Mr Hayes would be dead by now.

I woke up in a strange bed, in a room too big to be mine. I looked around in a daze. I was exhausted.
Just then the events of the previous day rushed through my mind.
I had only completed making the reports of the past ten years, the presentation was still left. It was seven in the morning. I Must've dozed off.
My throat was patched so I decided to walk out of the room in search of the kitchen.
After about five minutes of useless walking, I finally found the kitchen. I opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water, got a glass cup from a kitchen cabinet, filled the glass, and gulped down two glasses of water.
Yes, I was that thirsty!
Just as I turned around, I yelped in shock at the sight of Mr Hayes, standing there in nothing but his boxers.
