CHAPTER 26

Four months later!

The palace was as quiet as a graveyard. It seemed no one lived in it. Bianca was in her bathtub, trying to calm the itching she felt on her skin. She was left with just three servants, one of whom had gone to visit her family.

Two days ago, she had taken her bath only to be covered with rashes. She fell sick due to this but never got any treatment except for the first aid her servants had given to her. When she wanted to report to Alpha Don, she wasn't allowed to do so.

She sniffed and gently scrubbed her skin. "It's been two months, and I've never set my eyes on him. At least, as a mistress, I should see my Master once in a while." she rubbed her nose. "I'm very sure it's Evelyn who did it, but I still can't tell how she succeeded in doing it despite having those maids here. What the heck did she add to my water? Now, I look so much like a rogue…." she kept splashing the water all over the place…her face chiseled.

After several minutes and she wasn't out, one of her maids became worried and decided to come into the bathroom. "My Lady, you are supposed to be done by now so we can take a stroll around the palace, and the fresh air will grease your skin." The maid lowered her head, referring to her.

Bianca lifted her face to look at the maid. "How will I walk around the palace with my body this way? Don't you feel sorry for me? You three were here, and my bathing water got poisoned…."

"My apology!" The maid bowed to her. "But, she would return with a medicine that would cure it, and for now, letting the air grease your skin is another way to help it cure easily." the maid elaborated further.

Bianca licked her lips. "Get my towel-" she ordered, and the maid came forth with it. "Have you ever seen the Alpha Don?"

The maid shook her head. "I learned that he returns so late at night and leaves so early in the morning. I wonder if everything is okay with him."

"What is it that he does that takes his time that way?" Bianca thought, slowly getting out of the bathtub. She took the towel and dried her skin. "He doesn't have time for the palace any longer. Is everything okay?"

She left the bathroom with the maid and was dressed up, after which they exited the palace building to take a stroll as they agreed.

"Evelyn has been scarce, too. I wonder how she succeeded in adding the poison without being caught…" her mind was clouded as they strolled along.

Suddenly, the palace gate was opened ajar, and a car drove in. They halted. That wasn't the Alpha's car, or did he get a new one?

At that moment, the pack officials all began coming into the palace in haste like something had just happened. She was perplexed, trying to understand what exactly was going on, but she couldn't get it straight.

Later on, the gate was shut again, and then the car door was opened.

"Alpha!!" she grinned. "He got a new car?"

Alpha Dante walked straight into the hall without taking a glance around. His facial expression made Bianca understand that everything wasn't right with him.

"I'll go eavesdrop to know what exactly is going on that made him return by this time, and the officials all gathered. You two can return to the room." She instructed the maids, and they bowed to her before heading into the palace building.

Bianca stood outside for some time before gathering the courage to stand beside the hall chamber door. She climbed the veranda and marched towards the hall, and when she reached, she leaned against the wall.

"Your Majesty, I wonder why you gathered us so suddenly. But, we hope you have come to decide to get a Luna." one of the ministers uttered.

Bianca scoffed. "Luna? If he wanted a Luna, he wouldn't demote me and even declare that the throne doesn't require an heir from me. That dude wants to only fuck women to his satisfaction….." she swallowed hard. "Four months after my demotion, he is yet to present a woman he loves as the Supreme Alpha, yet they can't understand that he isn't interested in that stuff any longer. He will just hire a breeder for the sake of an heir."

She peeped in to see the way Alpha Dante stared at the ministers.

"Your Majesty, please, you should try your best to get over your deceased Luna and mate." another official added.

Bianca shook her head. "They should pity him. He lost his first and second mate already…."

"Who said I lost my mate?" the Alpha's voice reverberated in the hall. "Did I ever mourn her?"

Bianca was taken aback. She recalled that Alpha Dante-up till now, never mourned Lena.

"My mate is still alive and sound, so get it straight into your head…" he shrieked at them all.

Her palms were glued to the wall. "This should be a dream. Lena can't be alive. Then, who was that corpse? Wasn't it a corpse?"

"Bring her in!!!"

She covered her mouth to not make a sound as that order echoed to her ear. Her heart palpitated. It would be better if she was beginning to hear things already. How on earth was Lena still alive and they were fooled that she was dead?

She looked at the Don. "He played us! Lena was still alive and he faked her death. No wonder he never mourned her."

The hall's main gate was opened and Lena was standing with her son in her arms and two nurses at her side.

Bianca peeped as she walked into the hall majestically, having a wide smile on her face. "This should be my hallucination. Lena begot a child for Alpha Don."

She watched carefully until Lena walked before the officials and the Alpha and bowed to them all. "Greetings!!!" Lena lowered her head and so were the nurses. She glanced at the Don and they locked eyes.

"They planned this! They made fools of everyone!! What on earth is happening?" she clenched her fist and hastened her steps towards her room.

Her limbs were quivering. She wished for the ground to open and let her in.

"I didn't see this coming. I swore to not live and watch her conceive a child for the Don." she bounced her butt on the bed. "I lost to her! Even Evelyn thinks she won…. we all lost to that silly girl that murdered my niece and her father killed my sister. My sister's rival begot a child for her Alpha….." hot tears streamed down her eyes.
