Chapter 80 Drunk

Chapter 80 Drunk
"We shouldn't have let her drink that much. Alvaro will kill us if he knows about this," Carlo says.

We're now finally back at the villa. Antonio's now carrying me from the car to my room. Every movement seems to make my headache and nausea worse, yet I stay silent about it. If I talk right now, I'd probably throw up right at this moment, and I don't want that to happen.

"You're right. Shit," Dante curses.

"She'll be fine, right? Nothing's going to happen to her, yes? Her face looks so red," Antonio says.

My face is red? That means the alcohol has finally taken control of my body. I look up at Antonio, Dante, and then Carlo. All of them seem worried, but I ignore their looks. My gaze returns to Antonio, and at this exact moment, I want to kiss him so bad. Why does he look so fucking hot with dishevelled hair?

"Not really. She can barely handle some sips. Earlier, she drank four glasses. More than she usually takes," Carlo says.

Antonio takes a turn. I hear the door opening, and seconds later, my back lands on the soft, comfortable bed. However, the sudden movement makes my stomach churn even more. Fuck. Now I remember what being drunk is like. This is so bad, but also good. Being so lightheaded makes me feel so good in a bad way.

"Fuck. I thought she just didn't like wine," Antonio says.

"It's worse. She has alcohol intolerance," Dante says.

Yeah. Dante's right. I do have alcohol intolerance. That's what makes me kinda hate alcoholic beverages, besides their odd taste. Strangely enough, I didn't taste that weird alcoholic taste in the wine earlier. No wonder I can down four glasses of it within minutes. I kinda regret it now, though. I've felt even worse than that time I suddenly got sick for three days. I've never felt so nauseous in my life.

"We're screwed," Antonio says.

Ugh. Their voices. They make my headache even worse. Why are they speaking so loudly? They should lower their fucking tones.

"Shut up. Why are y'all so loud?" I ask.

"She'll be okay. She's just gonna get a bad hangover tomorrow. Get her up. We need to make her drink more water," Carlo says.

Antonio pulls me to sit, and I sit there on the bed with my back against the headboard, even more nauseous than before. They'd better prepare a bucket for me or something because I'm about to throw up everything inside of me in any minute now.

"Alessandra. You should drink this now," Carlo says, putting the rim of the glass against my lips. I shake my head, making the water spill a bit onto me. I don't want to drink anything now. I feel like it'll make me even more nauseous.

"Come on. Just one glass and then you can go to sleep," Carlo says.

"No," I say, slapping his hand away from my face. I continue to sit there, and I feel my drowsiness taking over me. Gosh. I can't keep my eyes open any longer. I want to sleep right now.

"Do you have any buckets or something? Just in case she threw up," Dante says.

"She can use this," Antonio says. I stare at him and watch him bring over the rubbish bin. He places it next to the bed, and I continue to stare at it with my eyes barely open.

I can throw up in there? Okay then. I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully, I'll remember it's there and not throw up on the floor instead. It would be embarrassing if that actually happened.

"She'll need some painkillers for tomorrow," Dante says.

"There's a medkit in here," Antonio says. I watch in silence as he pulls the drawer of the nightstand and takes out a bottle of medicine. He puts it on the nightstand and then sighs.

"There. You can leave now. I'll take care of her," Antonio says. I look at the three men in front of me. Carlo and Dante are staring at Antonio with suspicion, and I frown at them.

"Why are you looking at him like that? He won't do anything to me," I say. My words sound like gibberish as they mix with one another. Dante and Carlo turn to me, and their gaze softens. Carlo puts the glass close to my face again, and I move my face away from it.

"I won't do anything. I promise," Antonio says.

Dante and Carlo stare at each other, communicating with their eyes. After a few seconds, they nod to each other and turn to Antonio.

"Alright. Let us know if she's getting worse," Carlo says.

"I will," Antonio says.

Once Dante and Carlo are out of my room, I turn to Antonio again. He sighs at me and then frowns. He helps me lie back down again, and I let him. With our faces only inches away from each other, I can't help but stare at his soft lips. They look so... tempting. I want to kiss him so bad. I still remember how good he kissed me earlier.

I pull Antonio's face close to mine, placing my lips against his. Before a second even passes, Antonio pulls away from me, pressing me down onto the bed. His frowns deepen as he stares at me.

"You can't do that. Not now," Antonio says.

"Why? We did that earlier," I say.

"We'll do it again once you're sober," Antonio says as he takes off my shoes. I continue to stare at him. His careful movement only makes the desire in me grows even more. As if I'm possessed, I pull him close to me again and pin him down on the bed. Antonio quickly turns us over, making him stay on top of me.

"No. Alessandra. We can't," Antonio says as he gets off me.

"Please," I say, pouting at him.

"No. Let's go to sleep now, okay?" Antonio says, covering me with the duvet. I let him do it, but still frowning at him. He should stay here. He can't leave me alone.

"Don't leave me," I say.

"I won't if you go to sleep now," Antonio says.

"Fine," I say.

Antonio slips into the bed and lies next to me. With a stupid, wide grin, I move closer to him and place my head on his chest. He freezes for a second, but then relaxes. He puts his arms around me, patting my back gently. The gesture makes me even more sleepy than before, making me let out a big yawn.

"Good night," Antonio says.

"Good night."

I let my eyes drift shut as I listen to Antonio's heart beat. The steady beat calms me down and soothes my headache a bit. We continue to lay there in each other's arms. I smile as I hear a hum of a song coming out from Antonio as he pats my back. I let his hum becomes my lullaby as my consciousness slips away from me.
