CHAPTER 62 — LUTHER GREEN

We are walking back and forth outside the hospital emergency room. As there are many of us and we were unable to enter the room, we remained here in the waiting room, anxious for news of her and our babies.

I hope everything goes well and we don't lose any of the four.

— Why didn't I kill that bastard once and for all before I had her in my arms? — I sit with my hands on my head and my feet on the floor, anxious to ask myself this question.

— Relax, brother, it’s not your responsibility. — Lohan squeezes my shoulders — Nobody imagined he would recover so quickly from the punches and shots he suffered.

— Are you sure he's dead? — I ask him with red eyes.

— Yes. Zedekiah, unloaded two clips of bullets into him. He will have to be buried in a closed coffin due to the several holes that Zed left in him.

More than deserved, damn it!

— And her father? — I ask Lohan.

— He's still tied up in the shed. Boris, Faina's friend, is at her side, watching over her. Both are quite worried about the situation. Petrov stated that he should be present, exercising his right as a father, and, of course, threatened again if anything happened to her and her grandchildren.

I end up laughing in disbelief.

—Is he fucking kidding me?

— So it is. — he answers me, letting the same concern I have appeared in his eyes.

We are exhausted and worried about Faina and our children. Once we get out of here, I'll never let her leave the house again.

— Not until the babies enter the world healthy.

— Why is it taking so long? — asks Noah, standing, holding his hair. — It's been more than three hours since we arrived.

— I'll find out. — Zedekiah gets up to talk to one of the nurses, but the doctor appears.

— Responsible for Faina Petrov? — he asks, and we all stand up.

He watches us with a frightened look, noticing the injuries we have from the intense fight, with blood on our clothes and hands. Some nurses came over to help us, but we dismissed them.

— It's us. — says Heros, advancing towards him.

The doctor still looks incredulous, alternating his gaze between the five of us.

— Poor girl, this new law… — she murmurs in a low voice.

— Doctor! We've been here for over three hours, worried about our girl and the babies. Would you mind letting us know if she is ok? And the four? — Noah approaches him, desperation evident in his face and voice.

— That explains a lot… — he murmurs again, looking at the file in his hands.

Out of patience, I snatch the chip from his hand, throw it anywhere and push him against the wall, holding his collar. The nurses nearby exclaim in surprise and run to call security.

— It seems that you still haven't realized who we are and what we can do with the doctor here. — I say, angrily, bringing my face closer to his — My brothers and I are dangerous. I bet the doctor has heard of the Green brothers.

I noticed the fear and understanding in his eyes, which widened as he swallowed hard. He nods as best he can, while my hands tighten on the collar of his shirt. I only let go when we heard the hurried footsteps of the hospital security guards approaching, not wanting us to be expelled, so I let him go.

— Is there a problem here? — one of the security guards asks with the radio in his hand.

— No problem, right, doctor? — Heros, who asks him.

The nervous and shaking doctor nods. We smile at him.

— Yes. No problem, I was just trying to convey the status of their girlfriend. — he says, looking at the security guards who remain there, assessing the entire situation, noticing our states.

It takes about ten minutes, but they leave.

—So, doctor? I ask impatiently.

— She and the babies are fine. We had to stop the bleeding, but the knife didn't hit any organ or the amniotic sac. — we sigh with relief — Her condition is stable and she is sleeping. Only two at a time will be allowed in to see it.

— She and the babies are fine!

I fall to my knees, giving thanks for all the prayers I've said since we left the warehouse with her in my arms.

— Thank you, doctor. — Lohan, coming to help me up.

The doctor comes out with his legs still shaking, and a nurse approaches to show us where our girl is.

— Lohan and Noah better go first. — says Heros, sitting down and passing his hand over his face, sighing with relief.

We agree and follow the nurse, who flirts with me all the time, placing her hands on my arms.

— Nadia, right? — I ask her, looking at the name on her uniform, as we head down a hallway. She smiles, biting her lip and nods her head in affirmation — That young woman, who is lying there, is the mother of my children. She is the woman I love and a feared mobster trained to eliminate. Extremely possessive and jealous, I hope you don't get closer to me or any of my brothers anymore, keeping a respectable distance.

With a tight smile, the young nurse takes a step back, trying to process the complexity of the situation. Fear and confusion were visible in his eyes, but there was also a spark of understanding. She nods silently, acknowledging the seriousness of the warning.

Meanwhile, the most beautiful woman lying on the bed slowly opens her eyes, observing the scene with a calculating look. His eyes meet the young woman's for a brief moment, and an enigmatic smile curves his lips.

— I hope you understand correctly, dear — she said in a soft voice, but full of authority. — Here, everyone knows their place.

The young woman nodded again, feeling a chill run down her spine. Deciding that it would be better to step away and avoid any kind of disagreement with my powerful and ruthless wife.

— Dude, you scared the girl. — Noah, enter the room laughing.

— I'd rather scare you than wake up tomorrow without my dick. — I say as I close the door.

— Ah, I thoroughly agree — I look forward and see her lying on her side, with her hand on her belly, smiling at us. — This is the part of your body that I like most, it would be a shame to lose it.

Noah laughs and then sighs, approaching her, hugging her tightly.

— You scared us, baby. — he gets down on his knees on the floor and kisses your belly, then your lips.

— Hey, calm down, I'm fine. We are fine. — caresses her belly — I'm a Petrov, very difficult to defeat, and our babies will have the names of the two most feared mafias of all. — She runs her hands through his hair and winks at me — No one will be able to overcome them.

— No, they really won't. But from today onwards, you will no longer be so reckless and you will not put yourself at risk like this. We'll keep you locked in the house if necessary,” she shoots me a sharp look, “while you're pregnant — I quickly add.

She smiles and calls me with gestures, and I approach, leaving a kiss in her hair and another on her cheek. However, she doesn't let go of me until her lips touch mine.

— Can we go home? I hate hospitals and I miss them. His free hand strokes my hair, the same way he does with Noah, who rests his head on his chest.

— No way! — I move away from her to look into her eyes — We're not going to have sex with you.

—But why? — she asks upset.

— Luther, you're right, baby. You were stabbed while pregnant, you need to recover first.

— Are you kidding me? — she asks and we look at her completely seriously. — All good. — she rolls her eyes and sighs — But we can play, right? — he says, biting his lips.

She hasn't changed anything, she's still the same naughty and greedy girl she always was.

—What did we do to you?

— Have you looked in the mirror? How can I not feel hot for you every time my eyes fall on you two, on each of the five of you? I want to touch and feel you all the time. — She bites her lip, looking me up and down.

We laughed, relieved that she and our little ones were okay. The tension in my chest has already eased. We just need to face the situation with her father, but that can wait for later. Currently, I just want to enjoy the presence of my girl, alive and back with us.
