Tharros Castle— Morning:

Nyxoria woke up feeling refreshed, memories of her conversation with Ora replaying in her mind. Their deal, the promise of knowing the truth about who she is, made her smile. She turned her head, noticing that Tharros was still sleeping beside her.

Carefully, she slipped out of bed, making her way to the conjoined bathroom. The air smelled faintly of roses, one of the servants must have prepared her bath. She added a handful of rose petals to the hot water before sinking in, letting the warmth soothe her body.

Nearly two hours later, she stepped out of the bathroom, completely naked, steam still clinging to her wet skin. Apart from Tharros' lingering scent in the room, she knew they were alone.

When she came out she saw that Tharros was up and his back was turned to her.

"I was starting to think something happened to you," he said, his voice calm, but edged with something darker. "If you had taken another five minutes, I would’ve come in after you." He added.

Nyxoria’s gaze drifted to the neatly arranged clothes on the bed, two elegant princess gowns, along with three sets of leather pants and ylva tunic tops, and she loved them immediately. She knew right away they were her size.

"They should fit you perfectly," Tharros added, finally turning to face her.

His words cut off. His body went rigid.

His eyes, dark and predatory, raked over her bare skin, his jaw tightening. His breathing deepened, his entire posture shifting from composed to something far more dangerous.

Nyxoria smirked. She liked that look on his face.

"Enjoying the view, my Emperor?" she teased, amusement dripping from her voice.

Tharros didn’t smile.

In a single, fluid motion, he was in front of her, moving faster than human eyes could follow.

His fingers skimmed her wet skin, starting from her collarbone, trailing down, slow and deliberate. Like he was memorizing her, owning her with just his touch.

"You shouldn’t be walking around naked," he murmured, his voice rough, dark with possessiveness. "I don’t want anyone, even these walls, seeing what belongs to me."

Nyxoria snorted. "We are alone and please don't tell me you are jealous over a wall?" When he didn't answer. "Jealous of a wall? Really Tharros?"

"You should be careful about testing me, Nyxoria," Tharros warned, his voice dangerously low that sent a shiver through her, not of fear, but anticipation. "Because in this kind of test, I will fail—" he leaned in, his breath hot against her skin, "woefully."

Nyxoria tilted her head. "What test are you talking about?"

He didn’t answer.

Instead, his lips crashed against hers, hard, demanding, punishing. One of his hands wrapped around her throat, not enough to hurt, but just enough to steal her breath.

Nyxoria gasped, and Tharros swallowed the sound with his mouth.

Then his lips left her lips and his mouth crashed against her skin, teeth sinking brutally into the soft flesh just above her right breast, breaking the skin. Blood came up, and instead of letting it spill, he licked it up with a low, deep possessive growl.

Nyxoria gasped, not in pain, but in pleasure.

Her fingers tangled in his hair, pulling him closer as her body arched into him. She felt the sharp sting where his teeth broke the skin, felt the warmth of his tongue tracing over the fresh mark and licking her blood. It should have hurt. It should have been too much. But by the gods, she wanted more.

"Again," she whispered, voice trembling with need. "Do it again, Tharros."

Tharros pulled back just enough to meet her gaze. His lips were stained with the evidence of her blood, his smirk slow, wicked, knowing. Somehow his licking up her blood stopped more blood from flowing out of the open wounds.

"More?" he echoed, his thumb brushing over the fresh wound above her breast, pressing just hard enough to make her gasp and moan.

Nyxoria nodded, desperate. "Yes. More."

His grip tightened on her waist, nails digging into her skin as he lowered his mouth again, this time close to her throat.

"Then beg me properly my beautiful golden mate."

"Please Tharros." She whimpered.

He bit her again, this time near her throat.

It was deeper. Harder. His fangs, longer.

Then, as suddenly as he had touched her, he was gone.

Nyxoria’s eyes flew open, dazed, confused.

"Remember, we’re visiting your uncle today," Tharros’ voice drawled, and she turned to see him pulling off his clothes, standing completely naked before her. "Once we return, I will give you the most pleasurable pain you’ve ever had. You like pain, and lucky for you..." his smirk deepened, his gaze dark with promise, "I know how to give pain until you cry for me."

Nyxoria barely contained her smirk.

She licked her lips, fully staring at him now.

She couldn’t wait.

Tharros kissed her one last time, slow and lingering, before stepping into the bathroom.

Nyxoria touched the fresh bite marks on her skin, feeling them close almost instantly.

She groaned.

She wanted his marks there but the promise of Tharros made her anticipate what was coming.

She chose one of the leather pants and began to dress.

Elyria Kingdom— Vyr Palace:

Nyxoria stepped out of Tharros' shadows, feeling the solid ground beneath her feet. His presence was a constant warmth behind her, his strong arms still wrapped protectively around her waist.

They had arrived in the courtyard of Vyr’s palace.

She was dressed in the black leather pants and tunic that Tharros had picked for her, and as she had expected, the outfit fit her like a second skin, comfortable, yet commanding. She liked the way it made her feel strong and ready. Tharros was putting on a black leather pants, it was a match.

Initially, she had wanted to visit Daisy first, but Tharros had convinced her otherwise. Better to deal with her uncle first, he had said. Then, they would go to Daisy’s. And, of course, he had insisted on accompanying her to both.

Not that she minded.

As they walked towards the palace building, Nyxoria rested her head briefly against Tharros’ shoulder, drawing strength from his presence

"Remember," she murmured, glancing up at him, "I will do the talking. You’ll do the threatening."

Tharros smirked, his grip tightening slightly around her waist.

"As you wish, my beautiful Ria," he murmured, his tone playful, yet edged with danger. "Just say the word, and I will tear this place apart."

Nyxoria grinned.

This was going to be fun.
