Deception
Deception
“What are you doing here?” Vagamound's expression changed, his eyes becoming cold as he stared at the woman sitting across from his bed.
“That is not a proper way to greet a guest.” Kira stood up from the bed, a slight smile appearing on her lips as she looked at Vagamound.
“You mean a guest who invaded my room without an invitation.” Vagamound didn't give her any face. “How did you get in my room?”
Kira looked at the eyes, which had once been full of love for her, now emitting sharp coldness, with even a bit of killing intent.
A pang of pain came across her heart.
Did she regret it? Yes, she does. But her love for Vagamound was true.
She didn't mean to betray him. Since she's here today, she wants to make her feelings clear to him.
“Let's talk.”
“I don't want to talk to you. Leave!” Vagamound pointed at the door, his tone icy.
“I…” Tears stung Kira's eyes. She lowered her head, blinking as the droplets of water streamed down across her cheeks. “I know you must have hated me and won't forgive me for what I've done to you.”
“That's right. I'm not going to forget the things you did to me. You betrayed me, Kira.” Vagamound tightened his fist, veins protruding around his temples. “You fooled me, made my life miserable, and put the entire seven realms at risk. So how dare you appear in front of me?”
“No, I didn't fool you, Vagamound.” Kira cried. “I love you. Those moments I spent with you are what kept me going from taking my life. I feel so guilty for what I did, but it wasn't my intention to hurt you. I was under the control of Amos and could only obey his command.”
She paused and raised her head at him. “If you want to hate someone, then it should be Amos. He's the one who destroyed our lovely relationship.”
“Ha-ha-ha.” Vagamound burst out laughing at her words. “There was no relationship between us, Kira. A feeling built on deception isn't called love.”
“Where is the deception? You loved me back then, and I did. The one who ruined our relationship is Amos. Why aren't you throwing the blame on him? Is it because he's your wife's father? You don't want to go after him because you are afraid of hurting Belia's feelings.” Hate sprang up across her eyes as she thought of this.
“You have gone crazy.”
Kira screamed. “Yes, I'm so crazy for you.” Her voice turned into a low sob as she said. “Why do I have to bear the hate?”
Vagamound scoffed at her acting. “Want to know why? Because Amos would never use such an uncouth trick of playing with one's feelings. The one who brought up the plan to him must have been you. You approached me like an innocent person, toyed with my feelings, and brought me to despair. Not just that, you disguised yourself as Xinger, killed the princess, and then framed it on Belia. Such a hateful action; it's no wonder you are so vile.”
“No, I did all that because I love you.”
“I don't want to be loved by a vile person like you. Now, get out, or I'll throw you out myself.” Vagamound raised his hand, a spatial crack forming across it.
Terrifying roars of beasts came from the opened gap, causing Kira to stagger backward in fear.
“You…” Her face turned pale, as white as sheet.
Vagamound felt that the other party was dilly-dallying too long and was about to suck her into the black void when suddenly, the door behind him was pushed open.
“Report!”
Vagamound turned his head and looked at Eason, who had rushed into the room.
He glanced back at the spot where Kira was standing and saw that there was no one there.
“There's an emergency.” Eason said with a panic expression.
“What happened?” Vagamound looked back at him.
“It's the fire realm. Millions of their armies are stationed outside the wall.”
Vagamound's expression darkened when he heard this. He immediately ordered. “Gather San and the others instantly. Tell Karuga to stop whatever he's doing and summon all the immortal a
rmies now. We will go meet them.”
“Yes.” Eason hurriedly retreated from the room.
