More than Words
More than Words
Lily’s POV
Ashton and I decided on a short getaway to Hudson Valley. Our schedules were still tight. He had work to take care of, and I had classes to attend. Thankfully, fall break gave us a small window, and we took it. Three days were more than enough to rebuild our intimacy in this brief honeymoon.
We arrived in Hudson Valley just as the sun began to dip. We had chosen to stay in a wooden cabin nestled on the hillside, facing the iconic Hudson River. Ashton said it was okay to stay somewhere nearby for now. If the chance ever came, he’d take me around the world. A dream every woman carries in her heart.
This place was a perfect escape from the weight of Manhattan, with its endless rush and towering buildings. Here, there were no skyscrapers, only pine trees and sprawling maple woods. Autumn turned everything into something out of a fairy tale, with golden leaves drifting gently to the ground. The cabin had its own kind of magic. A wooden kitchen, a fireplace in the center of the room beside a small bookshelf, a plush sofa wrapped in a soft fur throw, and velvet rugs that warmed my bare feet. Everything about it felt like a dream.
And then, there was the hot tub on the back deck, quietly adding to the romance. I stood near the riverbank, staring out into the horizon. It felt like looking into a living painting, one that could pull you in and keep you enchanted.
Suddenly, arms wrapped gently around my waist. I turned to see his face, his soft smile always calmed me.
“Do you like it here?” he asked, his voice warm.
“I love it, Ashton.”
“How about we walk the Walkway Over the Hudson?” he whispered close to my ear.
I nodded. Watching the sunset from the bridge sounded beautiful.
We walked hand in hand across the bridge. I could see the river glittering on both sides, surrounded by trees painted in autumn’s golden fire. A perfect portrait of the season. The air had grown colder, and the sky had begun to blush a deeper hue. It was stunning. A few couples walked nearby, quiet and content.
Ashton and I captured a few moments in photos. It was one of those rare times when we could just be with each other away from the noise and chaos of Manhattan.
That night, we had dinner. The menu was simple, but special: butternut squash soup and roasted chicken. It was one of the most meaningful dinners we’d ever shared.
Afterward, we played soft, romantic music and danced. I leaned my head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.
Our eyes found each other, tracing every detail of the faces we had come to know so well. Then Ashton kissed me, softly at first, then deeper. A kiss we never seemed to tire of. It still felt as warm as the first one we shared at the altar.
Our breaths tangled as the kiss deepened—hotter, hungrier. His hands roamed my body, seeking every part of me that he could uncover beneath the dress I wore. I returned the gesture, unbuttoning his shirt until his firm chest was bare before me.
He lifted me into his arms and laid me gently on the soft bed. We looked into each other’s eyes, both burning with the same longing we could no longer hold back. He whispered, “Are you ready?”
I nodded slowly. He had already sent half of my soul soaring. I wanted the rest of me to fly with him, to feel every touch that made my heart float.
Ashton kissed every inch of my body—my lips, my neck, my chest, my stomach, and the most intimate part of me. It was overwhelming… breathtaking… until soft moans slipped from my lips.
He looked at me again, and I could feel the pounding of his heart beneath my hand.
“Are you really ready?” he asked.
“Yes, Ashton. I... will it hurt?” I wanted this desperately. But there was fear too. Nervousness I couldn't put into words.
“It might hurt a little at first,” he said, brushing my hair back gently. “But after that… I’ll take you somewhere only pleasure exists.”
He exhaled softly and smiled. “I’ll be gentle, Lily.”
I wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered, “I trust you, Ashton.”
He whispered my name like a prayer. I held him close, anchored by his voice, his breath, the way his hands never stopped telling me I was safe.
He kissed me again, slower this time—his body pressing into mine with a heat that stole my breath. His hands were gentle yet certain, slipping away the last of my clothing until I lay bare beneath him. He paused, his eyes sweeping over every inch of me, as if trying to memorize the moment and etch it into the walls of his soul.
"I’ll be gentle," he murmured, his lips tracing the line of my jaw, down to my throat, where my pulse fluttered beneath his mouth. His touch moved lower, reverent and tender across my chest, down my ribs, to the curve of my hips. Each kiss and caress unraveling me piece by piece.
We moved in a quiet rhythm, the world around us falling away. The creak of the bed, the soft rustle of the sheets, the whispered promises between us—all of it faded into the warmth of our bodies, into the way he filled me so completely I couldn’t tell where he ended and I began.
Tears slipped from the corners of my eyes not from pain, but from something deeper. A kind of trust, love, the surrender of every part of me to the man who held me like I was the only thing that mattered.
That night, we crossed a sacred threshold together. A moment where I gave myself completely to Ashton, not just my body, but my soul. I was proud to give my virginity to the man who was not only my husband, but the one I chose with my whole heart. Ashton Reagan Williams. The first and only man who would ever have all of me.
