It has been awhile since I visited the Pack House. Sam wanted to make sure l'd be safe. He's warned me that others might seek to challenge me or him. Oh, I pity them now it they tried. We aren't normal shifters and well we don't have to play by any rules but our own. Any challengers will learn the hard way not to mess with me or any I love! Yes, yes I do love these egotistical bastards. Once you overlook their egos, they are
intelligent, creative, protective, and supportive men. Even if those qualities lie deep inside each of them. They have centuries of knowledge and experience. Now I share true immortality with them. What legacy will I forge? What all will I learn and experience? I really do have the world at my fingertips and I get to share it with them!
But this last turn our lives took, I didn't see coming! I didn't think we'd be gods let alone adding children to our twisted family. I'm drawn out of my veiled thoughts by their bickering.
Vlad huffs, “Couldn't we have just ported?”
Vincent whines, “Why do you wolves have to live so far away from everything? I get nature is beautiful but hours man, fucking hours!”
Morgan is laying in my lap purring listening to them. I think she's been on her own far too long. I'm glad she's a part of this family.
“No, we can't just port! Do normal vampires port? Let me answer that. No, no they don't. Why we didn't. We must appear normal to the rest of the world. So just deal with it the both of you!”
Vincent whines, “But hours, love?”
“Wolves need open areas to hunt. They also need it to gather safely. The serenity and solitude also comes in handy for their nude parties.”
Sam rolls his eyes, “You make it seem like a choice, Eva.”
“Well, it is. I kept my clothes on as did your brother and Gran.0
Vincent smirks, “You didn't the whole night, my love.”
“Not for lack of trying!”
Eric sighs, “And that was just the normal mate Haze.”
“Normal yeah normal,” I squirm in my seat a bit, “Maybe now wasn't the time for a trip.”
Sam growls, “I can smell you!”
I sigh, “You seem like there's something I can do about it.”
Sam snarls, “There is! You can take care of it or I will!”
Eric huffs, “Just find a place to pullover. You know damn well if she tried, we'd have to join. So find a place before you shift or lose it!”
Vlad grabs his seat, “Oh no no. I'm never taking a car with any of you again!”
“What is with you and cars? Sam will find a spot if barely.”
Vlad whines, “I just don't like them!”
“Well, I suggest you learn, oh mighty king!”
Vincent chuckles, “Oh, how the mighty have fallen!”
Vlad bellows, “Fuckoff brother!”
I laugh and Sam joins in, “Oh I know Gran is going to love this!”
“I forgot to ask. Did the Kents find that rogue?”
Sam shakes his head, “No.”
“Interesting.”
Sam looks at me, “You sense something, don't you?”
“Maybe,” but I do feel something. I think the rogue is closer than anyone suspects.
Morgan shifts on my lap and she says to Sam, “I suggest you find a spot now, wolfman!”
The moment Morgan moves from my lap Sam's nostrils flare and he grips the steering wheel hard.
Morgan curls up on the console, “I'll stay in the car.”
Eric nods, “Might be a good idea providing he doesn't rip the steering wheel off first.”
“Sam trade me!” Vincent suggests. They port quickly to switch seats.
Vlad says shakily, “I'm not sure this is any better.”
“Just chill. I don't need you Hazing too right now!”
Vincent shakes his head, “Sam’s right though, I can smell you!”
“Why, just why?” I sigh.
Morgan purrs, “I've already told you all this!”
“I see where we can go,” Vincent says as he floors it.
Vlad screams, “We're all going to die!”
Morgan goes and sits on his lap, “You're eternal you dipshit! You can't die. Now chill out and pet a cat!”
I really do need to find out why Vlad hates cars so much. Maybe I can once we resume driving.
